Chapter 21: Racing Thoughts
Sera tried separating herself from the duo, but she was unsuccessful. It was as f they sensed her departure and wanted to keep it from happening. It's not that she didn't want to be there with them, but she also wanted to be training her powers. The more she trained the better she became and she was really starting to enjoy the way the power made her feel.
She felt like she could do anything and that her life meant more than what she felt it meant. Maybe if she trained hard enough she could live a different life than the one she was currently living. Her life wasn't bad, but she still yearned for something different. A life without the power of money, but a life with the power from within her. As she was lost in her thoughts she didn't notice Lucien lurking nearby. Though she did get this sick feeling that something was about to happen.
Lucien felt like a stalker, but she had been gone for hours and wasn't answering her phone. He had to make sure his future was secure with her as well and the best way to do that is to get the approval of the friends. Young women in groups annoyed him, since all they ever do is gossip and giggle. Though he was willing to subject himself to this slow torture to make sure Sera was his. He quickly moved his fingers and mumbled some words and bam his and Isabella's eyes met and she nudged Sera, making Sera spill the rest of her ice coffee on herself.
Lucien's eyes got wide as Sera was wearing a white T-shirt that was now hugging the contours of her breasts. His spell was only supposed to get the attention of one of the girls. The spell wasn't supposed to involve Sera and now here they were. Poor Sera had a soaked shirt and it was soaked through her bra as well, making her nipples become erect and visible. Lucien being a man couldn't unglue his eyes from her chest. Instinctively, she covered her breasts with her arms and took on a defensive stance.
Seeing this Lucien calmed down a bit and cursed himself for being such a man in that instance. 'Should I offer help?' He asked himself. "Would you like me to take you to get some fresh clothes?" He questioned Sera with a serious tone. "Yes, actually. I feel uncomfortable and it's your fault for getting Izzy under your spell." Sera teased in a sarcastic tone. Lucien, seemed to be shocked and acted as if she read his intent. He leaned over and whispered in her ear, "how did you know I casted a spell, I-"
"I didn't know. Wait. What did you do?" Sera angrily whispered back. There was a murderous glint in her eye, one Lucien was oddly intrigued by. " it was just a beckoning spell I just wanted to make my presence known. Had I known the result would be like this." He motioned to her top. "I would have just spoken up."
Now she felt even more self conscious than when he was staring at her chest. 'What a pervert,' Sera subconsciously thought. "Come with me and I'll buy a new blouse for you." Lucien offered in a sweet, gentle sounding tone. 'Blouse? Who the hell says blouse? Only my grandma and people trying to sound refined. Well really refined people
use the proper names for things like trousers for pants.' She thought as she was glaring daggers into him. Sera was judging Lucien based on the words he used and wasn't paying attention to the actual person. He was standing there trying to appear innocent, but his aura told a different story; a story of malevolence.
The more time he spent pursuing this woman, the darker his intentions and actions became. He use to not put spells upon people, but he just put a hybrid spell on them. Not only was it a beckoning spell (like he told Sera), but it was also a revelation (truth) spell. This truth spell wouldn't allow them to lie and it would also make their emotions evident, as we have already seen in Sera's actions. What others things would be revealed through their interactions today?
