Chapter 11: Getting Tipsy
Grabbing her drinks and walking away was on her mind, but at that moment someone bumped into her and made her spill her drink all over her dress. Jack luckily saw the whole thing happen and was able to quickly swoop in and bring napkins. She laughed at his attempt, "I'm in my own house let me quickly change." She swiftly ran off and was out of sight almost instantly. Dumbfounded Jack just stood there, napkins in hand.

Upstairs in her room Sera took off the dress and grabbed a towel to dry herself. She then looked through the other dresses still on her bed. 'Man those girls are relentless' she laughed to herself 'Thank God that they left these here just in case I needed a change.' She then decided to take out her phone and text the girls in their group chat. 'Sorry you guys had to rush off and not enjoy the party. My parents specifically said only I could attend. Turns out hottie is my fiancé 🙀' She then tossed the phone on the bed and looked at the dresses with more discernment. There was a red dress with a plunging neckline, it plunged down almost her belly button. Not to mention that it was backless. "Oh my! Not this one." She said out loud. The next dress was royal blue which didn't compliment her skin tone. The one after was black and had so many slits that she wasn't sure where to put her appendages. That meant this too was a no. The last was a hunter green color and looked very similar to her last dress, but it had a slit to the belly button. So, she chose this one as it made her look glamorous and sexy. She frowned as it was way out of her comfort zone and she knew all eyes would be on her. She then touched up her make-up, stood up straight and marched out with a mission in mind: act oblivious.

Downstairs the party was bustling and it seemed no one noticed the disappearance of the guest of honor. Jack was the only one not enjoying himself and he seemed to be waiting for someone as he had drinks and a table. There were about 10 other tables sat vastly apart as they were in a large ballroom within the house. Each table could sit 8 and had a nice Halloween themed center piece placed on it. There were a total of 3 drinks left untouched as Lucien approached the table Jack was at. "What are you doing with drinks not being drank?" He quizzed his brother. "I'm waiting for your fiancé to come back. Someone bumped into her and made her spill her drink, so she had to change." Jack stated. Lucien then went from his cool demeanor to an enraged one.
'How dare someone trash his girl' he thought angrily. Just as he was about go on a rampage something green caught his eye. He looked in the direction of a heavenly sight. Sera was walking toward them with a smirk on her face. Once she got to them, their jaws were on the floor and their eyes were almost bulging. Her dress hugged all the right places and didn't leave much to the imagination, but the color of it complimented her perfectly. The dress made her glow and have a certain confidence that she never possessed. It was like the perfect dress. Jack smirked like he had a play in the dress.
As a matter of fact he did a spell to help her find the perfect dress so she would come back with a new air. Turns out the color that matched his eyes fit her perfectly. Once she got to the table Jack passed the two drinks to her and she passed the jack & coke to Lucien. "Cheers," She said as she raised her glass to clink with the boys' glasses. After they clinked glasses Sera down her drink in a few swigs leaving the boys speechless again. "Are you trying to get drunk?" Lucien snapped. "Why not? It's a party." She replied. Jack started laughing as he had never seen anyone talk to his brother that way.
"I need more" Sera smirked devilishly. She then got up and went to the bar for more drinks. Jack leaned over to speak to Lucien, "Looks like she's a hard one to control." Lucien sneered back at him nonverbally, and sent some magic over. Jack sensed it and countered the magic with a blocking spell. Lucien was annoyed now, but stopped abruptly as he sensed Sera was almost back. When she got back to the table she was obviously getting tipsy. Her eyes had laughter in them, her movements had a slight slur to them , and she was giggly. "I got another two" she said proudly as she sat down.
