Chapter 12: Memory of Stigma
As Ban slept, Gerheade walked into the kitchen with a knife held in her hand.
"You look like an angry wife, trying to murder your husband who cheated on you," Ender said as he teleported into a chair.
It shocked Gerheade seeing the demon here, but she quickly focused on her mission.
"So you know what I am going to do?" asked Gerheade.
Ender nodded: "I am not going to stop, as I literally can't, but I will give you the advice not to do it now. The time will come for you to do it but now is not the time."
Gerheade dropped the knife and sighed, knowing that he was right.
"I am the only fairy who thinks that this human doesn't deserve the title of King. The only Fairy King that lives right now is Harlequin."
Ender raised an eyebrow: "I am sure your brother would say otherwise."
Gerheade frowned at the mentioning of him: "He is dead. I lost him when he was sealed in the coffin."
"Yeah, that was not a good time back then. I saw it with my own eyes how Gloxinia massacred the humans when he saw your 'death.'"
Flashback no Jutsu
3000 years ago
Demon Realm
"Ender, get your useless ass over here. I have a mission for you coming from my father," shouted Zeldris.
Ender immediately appeared kneeling before Zeldris. "You have a mission to do for me, Zeldoris-sama?"
"Yes, the Demon Lord heard that the Traitor's group has been doing something shady. Go to their base and explore it. After that, come back and inform me about it," commanded Zeldris.
Ender bowed: "It will be done."
Ender left the castle laughing like a girl.
"Finally, something to do. Sitting here all day was going to kill me of boredom. I can see Meliodas and Elizabeth again."
Out of the castle, Ender heard the voice of his boss.
"If you laze around, Ender, I will send you to Chandler, are we clear?"
Ender paled and teleported.
Stigma base.
Ender was watching the other clans going on with their lives. Ender was not stupid to just run in. He was assigned a mission to watch over Stigma, not start an attack.
All those lives would be lost if he just greeted them and their response would be to attack.
So Ender waited, looking out for Meliodas and Elizabeth while avoiding the others, especially the archangels.
As he looked around, he saw Elizabeth talking with Ludocial. Ludocial was #2 on Ender's list for annoying angels right after Mael.
He knew of Ender's ability to reflect attacks but during the clashes between the demons and the rest Ludocial still sent his minions after Ender knowing that they would die.
His reasoning: They are dying for a better world.
The Enderman waited for the archangel to leave so he could sneak up on her.
After Ludocial left, Elizabeth flew to the ground where she started to relax when suddenly two black hands reached forward and closed her eyes before a would-be bad guy laugh was head.
"Finally, I have captured the Goddess. Now she won't be with that punk Meliodas, muahahaha."
Elizabeth started to giggle.
"Ender, I know it is you. Nobody has such black hands."
Ender let go of her and sulked.
"Oh, and I thought I could steal you from Meliodas. Because of him, his brother is grunting all the time and what better way to let his anger out then on me."
"I think I have not heard right. A demon with a power level lower than 1 is saying he will steal my wife? If I could die of laughter, I would," came the reply.
Ender and Elizabeth looked to see Meliodas sitting on top of a tree.
"Hello Ender, how have you been?" asked Meliodas.
Ender shrugged: "Nothing really happened.
Being thrown into multiple enemies, being cursed by said enemies, being shouted at by your younger brother.
Trying to find a way to kill Mael and hiding from your crazy teacher Chandler.
At least Melascula is showing sights of love towards me.
We hold hands the other day until Galand showed up. I am glad he didn't ask me if I love her. Even if I am immune against his commandment, he still knows when I lie."
Elizabeth hugged Ender knowing enough of her friend and how he was: "It is alright. You can cry if you feel sick of it."
Ender didn't need to hear it twice as he cried rivers on Elizabeth's shoulder.
"I can't take it anymore. I don't even know the last time I had a good night if sleep at all. I hate this war. Why do they all have to fight?!"
Elizabeth hugged Ender stronger. "Just end this war and we can all be together."
Meliodas also remembered his younger brother as he left him.
"You are here because Zeldris told you to spy on is, isn't it Ender?" asked Meliodas.
Ender swept his tears away and nodded. "I don't know what he is planning, but sending me here he expects me to report back and I don't want to see Chandler again."
"Then stay with us, Ender. We can help me," said Elizabeth trying to get him to join Stigma.
Ender shook his head: "I am sorry Elizabeth but I am loyal to the demon clan. Without them I would lose something inside that would not make me... me. I don't mean it bad but I just can't. I still have to protect Melascula. If I leave here I wouldn't function anymore."
Elizabeth nodded not asking further.
"So what are you going to do, Ender? You can't just go back to Zeldris saying I found you?" asked Meliodas.
Ender shook his head. "I will just stay in the shadows and see what you do. It is better than to roam around the demon lands doing nothing. I just have to be careful not to be found by the Archangels."
As Ender started to leave he heard someone shouting.
"Basquias, pierce this demon."
Ender didn't even see what hit him or rather what bounced off him and almost killed the attacker.
"Gloxinia, stop, you can't attack him!" shouted Elizabeth as she saw the damage.
Ender now could see his attacker. A fairy was in the air and blood was leaking from his/her shoulder as the result of attacking the Enderman.
"Gloxinia, ahh, you are the Fairy King. Dude, you look like a woman."
"Ender, why do you have to provoke people all the time?" asked Elizabeth as she shook her head, trying to figure out why her friends always provoked people one should stay away from.
"Because people won't attack him otherwise and taste the 'sweet karma' they deserve as Ender says it," answered Meliodas.
"Gloxinia don't attack him it is useless. He won't harm you as his strongest weapons are his worlds."
Ender cried fake tears.
"Even after your betrayal, you still hurt me."
Gloxinia regained his composure having heard of Ender.
"He is the coward demon. I should kill him before he goes back and reports to Zeldris. I cannot leave him alive."
Ender showed him the middle finger: "Try it, your man in a woman's body; not that it is wrong. Just saying."
Before Gloxinia could unleash hell, Drole stopped him.
"Let us trust Meliodas. As long as this demon does not attack us we won't attack him," said Drole.
"As if you could," muttered Ender looking at the four-armed giant.
During Ender's stay at Stigma, he formed a friendly bond with Drole.
Gloxinia was skeptical at first but eventually opened up to Ender.
It would have stayed that way if not for the human betrayal.
Fairy King Forest
After the talk with Gowther, Ender watched how the humans betrayed the clans.
Gloxinia, seeing his 'dead' sister fell to his hatred and made a massacre out of the humans.
Ender couldn't watch it and ran away.
He reported back to Zeldris what happened. With that Zeldris made his way to make Drole another commandment and Gloxinia soon followed.
Gloxinia threatened to Ender to never mention that day and the Enderman complied. With that, the new commandments were made.
Flashback end
"I know you tried your best to help him. That is the reason I don't hate you despite being from the demon clan. You have my gratitude and I won't try killing Ban for this moment but don't expect me to try."
Ender grinned and bid Gerheade goodbye.
