Chapter 18: Life Story
[Mea's POV]
In the last ten days too many amazing things happened with Andel – sama as a focal point so I thought there won't be anything else that could catch me off guard .
I was wrong !
Three days ago , Andel – sama decided to spend the next seven moths exploring the Purgatory Realm . In order to be able to enjoy all the benefits that exist in this place , currency is something mandatorily .
Unfortunately , after Gargran's explanation, we realised that it's extremely hard to get your hands on the money in Purgatory .
This is why Andel – sama decided to try something that he assured us that it will make us rich in less than a week .
Two days ago , he used one of his abnormal spells called World Alteration Mode : Elemental Manipulation to create a huge arena with a big stage in the middle . Furthermore, he kidnapped one hundred thousand soul dealers like they are called around here and tied them to the chairs in the arena .
Next, he summoned a sword that emanated an energy that made my hair stand on its end .
And this brings us to the present . Although I still can't understand how is this going to help us earn any Soul Tears . Is he planning on torturing all of them using that peculiar sword ?
"WHY . HAVE . YOU . SUMMONED . ME . HERE . ANDEL. YOU . BASTARD ?" [Crimson Sword]
Eh ? Did that crimson sword just talk ? How is that even possible ?
"Oh come on Exodus , what is wrong with me summoning you ?" [Andel]
The sword releases a dangerous killing intent towards Andel – sama . From the looks of it, there is some kind of grudge between those two , although I can't figure out what it is ...
"WHY ? ARE YOU SERIOUSLY ASKING ME WHY ? " [Exodus]
"You are upset . I understand that , but I prepared a surprise that will make you euphoric . " [Andel]
"THOSE ARE THE SAME WORDS THAT YOU SAID LAST TIME WHEN YOU USED ME TO PEEL APPLES !" [Exodus]
"But you are so much accurate than a normal knife !" [Andel]
"AND BEFORE THAT WHEN YOU CUT A WHOLE FOREST , TREE BY TREE , WITH MY BLADE ! "[Exodus]
"But you are so much sharper than a normal axe !" [Andel]"
"AND WHAT ABOUT THAT TIME WHEN YOU CRACKED NUTS WITH MY HANDLE ?" [Exodus]
"But you are so much sturdier than a normal hammer !" [Andel]
Uhh ... I have no words ... Only Andel – sama would even think of using such a legendary weapon for such ordinary actions ...
'HAAAHHH'
Exodus raises a scream filled with anger . A thick bolt of red lightning falls down from the sky and hits exactly where Andel – sama is standing .
Instead of trying to evade , Andel – sama extends his right hand up and catches the lightning . Sparks are being scattered everywhere as the thick bolt that could easily kill any of us is suppressed completely .
Andel – sama just stands on the spot with a fierce gleam in his eyes .
"Are you finished now or do you want to fight for real ?" [Andel]
'Haaaahh'
A dejected sigh can be heard .
"Why have you called me here master ? " [Exodus]
A clean and soft voice comes from the sword ... HEY ! Isn't the change a little too big ? A second ago Exodus seemed like an ethereal emperor that no one could touch . Now all his might disappeared like it was all a lie .
"Actually , this time, I summoned you here because these guys are eager to hear your story ." [Andel]
"HUH ? Are you serious ? " [Exodus]
He seems ... Excited . Still , story ? What is the point of that ?
"Did I ever lie to you ? Go ahead , I can guarantee you that they will listen to the end !"[Andel]
"Ohh ... Thank you, master ! You truly are my master ! Such an amazing gift ! " [Exodus]
"All of you let's go before it's too late !" [Andel]
Andel – sama turns around and starts walking to the exit . Why , for a second there , have I seen fear in his eyes ?
"My story began long ago . At the beginning it was dark . Actually, it was not black, but I had no eyes so , for me , it was dark . That was the first colour I've seen . Black . Dark . It was so much black . It covered my whole world . There were no sounds just darkness . It was cold at the beginning . No . It might have been hot . This would be of course if it was not cold . And it was dark . Does that mean that darkness is cold ? Or hot ? Maybe it's both ... ........ ........ " [Exodus]
While walking to the exit , I could still hear Exodus's words .

Andel – sama points his hand towards the arena and a huge circle appears in the sky . All kind of magical symbols is swirling inside of that formation . Furthermore, four long rods are coming from the middle of the ring and are rotating in the right direction . It totally looks like a huge clock .
"FIFTH REVELATION : TIME WARP !" [Andel]
From the feeling of it , this seems to be another S rank skill ... How can someone just use this kind of spells so casually ?
"FORWARD !" [Andel]
After the final word was out , the clock starts speeding up a few thousands of times over .
"This is my fifth revelation . It can be used to speed or slow down the flow of time in a particular area . Now , one year inside is the same as one hour outside ." [Andel]
That is ... Ridiculous . This kind of power is already one level over S rank skills and should be called an actual S+ level spell .
Still , this raises a question ...
"Andel – sama , couldn't we use this spell to make time flow faster around us for seven moths . Like this, we could speed things up quite a bit !" [Mea]
Andel – sama looks at me and with a sad expression and mumbles in a low voice .
"It would work on you three as your power is quite insignificant , but on Sovereign level existences, it is useless . " [Andel]
I see ... Although he could use it on us , Andel – sama would have to take a long way around . This is quite inconvenient .

Four days have passed already , time in which the giant clock formation in the sky did not slow down not even one second .
Finally Andel – sama pointed his hand towards the arena and clicked his fingers . At that moment , the Fifth Revelation disappeared like it was never there .
When I look from up close to the arena that was made entirely out of wood and stone , it looks like over a hundred years have passed . The stone is cracked, and red vines cover the external walls .
"... And this is how I managed to pick the blue flower from the top of the largest tree in the forest .With that , the Emperor gave his blessing and his daughter became my fiance ! With this , we shall start the story about when I was seventeen . " [Exodus]
From the inside, Exodus's voice can be heard . Seventeen ... Does that mean that this whole time he told only his first sixteen years of life ? Nooooo ... Impossible .
All those poor souls are still tied to the chairs with blank looks on their faces . When they see the four of us coming on the stage , they start shivering, and a small glow appears in their eyes . Someone who managed to get rid of his gag screams at the top of his lungs .
"Please , stop him . I beg you , I can't take it anymore ! Ha ... Ha ha ha ha ha ha ! " [Male voice ]
He starts laughing hysterical . I can't even imagine what was their life like in the last hundred years .
Looking down , I can see thousand of small glittering tear shaped crystals . Soul Tears . There must be over a million . Unbelievable !
"Exodus , that's enough ... You can return now " [Andel]
"Hah ? Why ? ... Uhhh ... Ok ... And it was just when the good part was about to start ..." [Exodus]
Exodus lets out an dejected voice and disappears in a flash of light .
