Chapter 12: 12 the change
Fang stood in the trees watching Flame while chewing on a piece of the ham she had left out for him he wasnt a wolf at this time for if she was to awaken this very night he would need his hands but that didn't mean he couldn't eat the treat she made him Elder Oak stood beside him
When Elder Oak saw Flame his breath caught in his throat and tears gleamed in the corners of his eyes till they eventually pooled over and slid down his cheeks. "Its her she is home now"
Behind Oak and Fang stood hundreds of the Shadow Realms people when they heard what oak said they silently rejoiced knowing they couldnt be heard just yet as their Queen still wasnt herself completely.
Suddenly Flame fell down to the ground as a scream of pain tore out of her in such agony it tore at fangs heart he wanted to comfort her but couldn't it wasn't safe they could not move yet not till it was time he had to hold himself back for both of their sakes
Flame was watching the moon with a white flower in her hands when a sudden stabbing burning sensation tore through her entire body like lava flowing her veins causing her to collapse and scream Viper jumped up from where she was sitting by the fire and stood over her saying something but Flame couldn't hear her as her blood was bounding in her ears it even sounded like her blood was boiling just like it felt but what Flame saw next scared her even more then feeling like she was being burned alive as her nails were growing into long talon like claws her skin was being coated with a layer of dark scales then she felt all her bones snap and break and she cried out from the shear pain of it all her back arched back and her skin tore apart as two very large leathery wings burst out from her spine and a tail grew out she felt her body getting larger and her lungs felt on fire her teeth and jaw started growing into a snout full of razor sharp teeth covered in the same dark scales from her head protruded two very long horns that weighed on her small head but was getting lighter as her head grew her neck stretched out her chest was now covered in scaley breastplates from her chin down to the tip of her new spikey tail when she tried to yell out from the pain and fear fire erupted from her jaws she collapsed onto her side exhausted. Her eyes met with Fangs.
In the distance she saw two figures walk out from the trees one being Fang the other was the old man from her dream.
"It's time" Oak stated together he and Fang walked out of the trees slow at first so as not to alarm her.
Then when Fangs eyes met Flames he saw recognition flash in them before they closed. He ran to her shifting in midair as he ran to her side Viper in her snake form was sliding across Flames body checking to make sure their was no complication in the shift as can sometimes happen for first time shifters but then again this wasnt really her first time.
he layed with Flame watching her face. She was tormented in her eyes their was pain, fear, anger, hatred, and confusion. Slowly her eyes shut as she blacked out from exhaustion.
***In Flames Mind***
The dreams made since now Flame now knew she just wasnt Flame the orphan girl but she was Flamearia Dragonaria Queen to the Shadow Realm Goddess of all living life creator of man the one and only Dragon on earth but with that realization came what that meant as her memories flooded her mind it was like watching a movie in first person point of view from the time she came out from her egg alone wanting a companion to making the first Elder who she named Elder Oak after the Oak tree from which she crafted him so he would be strong and sturdy like the tree but wise and nurturing like a father then giving the animals she created the ability to go from animal to man when ever they decided so as to make friends fall in love and have children she called them the Shadow People then came the humans one of her many regrets humans started hunting the Shadow People and the animals for fur coats, food, to put them to work as slaves, or to make a pretty pet, and even worse to take away their homes just to farm and build on. Humans became cruel towards the Shadow People Flame hated this but it was against the laws of nature to kill them all so she made a safe place for the shadow people to go using her magic she enchanted a forest to keep humans away and hide her people to keep them safe and alive. Then she fell in love he was a wolf he was the strongest of all wolves an amazing fighter but never once did he act out of anger he had respect for everyone and he enjoyed playing with the children and training them to be warriors. they spent alot of time together at first it was a guard protecting his Queen and fulfilling his duties as a quart then they became friends then after awhile they fell in love.
The night he confessed his feelings for her played in her head and it was just as breathtaking as it was the first time.
It was on a beach the waves crashing against the white sand she stood under the moonlight in her favorit black dress that was draped over her shoulders and fluttered in the wind like a silky web caught in the breeze her black and red hair pinned up behind her head with a large opal stone and gold hair pin. candles were lit everywhere forming a large circle and a pathway where red rose and white Lily petals littered the ground were she stood she stood amazed at the beauty of the candle light under the stars
He stood behind her and cleared his throat Flame turned around with a smile she could see he was nervous about something and it should be something special as he was dressed up which he only dressed up on special occasions
but at that moment it was just the two of them alone standing hand in hand amongst the candles under the moonlight it was bliss but the bliss was short lived for just a few days after that she was betrayed in the worst possible way
never did she imagine that her greatest threat would be from someone she knew and trusted.
