Chapter 26: Moving into Ryōzanpaku #6
I went inside the dojo and found Shigure in her normal small pink kimono and long purple stockings. Sakaki was in the living room passed out with bottles all around him. I chose to let him rest I don't wanna get on his bad side.
"Hey, Master Shigure." (Seth)
"Hey, Seth follow." (Shigure)
As she motioned me to follow her, which I did. She took me to a room down the hallway within the dojo. I found that strange because Kenichi had to go up a rope to get to his room when he became an inner disciple. I guess they figure I just can't do it. The room is incredibly tiny there's only a bed on the right side of the room a desk on the left and next to the desk is a bookshelf and no drawers at all. There's not even a window! Where am I supposed to put my clothes? Do they think I'm some type of minimalist? If they do they're not entirely wrong.
"Small." (Seth)
"It is you'll get a bigger room as you grow up." (Shigure)
"Okay, where am I supposed to put my clothes?" (Seth)
"They will be put in another room." (Shigure)
"Ok." (Seth)
"Follow." (Shigure)
"We're going somewhere else?" (Seth)
"Tour of the dojo." (Shigure)
"Oh ok."
Shigure showed me around the dojo building first she showed me the bathroom, living room where Sakaki was, kitchen, dining room, and the training room. The second floor was unavailable because of the renovations they were doing. I was not allowed to go to the basement nor Master Akisame sculpture room without Akisame permission.
"What's in the basement?" I didn't even know there was a basement here.
"Ask Akisame." (Shigure)
"Okay, why can't I see the basement?" (Seth)
"Ask Akisame." (Shigure)
"Okay." (Seth) Curiosity killed the cat but not like anything here can kill me I just don't want them to kick me out for any reason.
"Follow still have more places to show you." (Shigure)
"K." (Seth)
We exited the dojo building via the back door. We headed to the small Clinic to the right of the Dojo property line. When we open the door there was a doctor's office like bed there and an eye chart, a table with its cabinets, drawers and a sink. It just looks like a normal examination room.
"This is where you're going if you get sick or injured." (Shigure)
"Small." (Seth)
"Yep let's go." (Shigure)
We quickly headed out of there because that was just it there is no waiting room or anything. Next, we headed towards a slightly larger building then the Clinic it had a few tinted windows barely could see in at all. Shigure quickly opened the door revealing a blacksmith like training area. I wouldn't compare it to a shop it didn't have a counter, it also has a second floor.
"This is where you'll learn to blacksmith." (Shigure)
"Why do I need to learn to blacksmith?" (Seth)
"I thought it would be a good way to build your strength until you're six." (Shigure)
"Oh does that mean I can make weapons?" (Seth)
"Correct my rooms on the second floor of this building you can find me there most of the time if I'm not in school." (Shigure)
"How is the school by the way? I'm starting in a few months." (Seth)
"Pointless follow me." (Shigure) That is not something you should say to a child.
She then took me behind the blacksmith building to see a fenced bath area I forget what they're called in Japanese on- something.
"This is will you'll bathe. Friendly warning most of the Masters like to bathe at night to see the stars." (Shigure)
"I'll keep that in mind, where's the rest of the Masters? I've only seen you, Master Sakaki, and Master Akisame."
"Apachai and Kensei went out to buy materials for Akisame." (Shigure)
"Do you know when they'll be back?" (Seth)
"Knowing Apachai not until sundown." (Shigure)
"When will training begin?" (Seth)
"The day after tomorrow." (Shigure)
"Does that mean the parties happening here?" (Seth)
"Ye- *clears throat* No." (Shigure)
"Then there is going to be a party just not here." (Seth)
"*clears throat again* Anyway they're still one more place I half to show you." (Shigure) She's trying to change the subject and she didn't even deny it. I should stop teasing her.
"Ha lead the way." (Seth)
"Gladly." (Shigure)
Our next destination was a garden-like area with some weird herbs I've never seen. There were pretty flowers, bushes, and some vegetables there too.
"Why are we in a garden?" (Seth)
"You're going to be gardening to build and control your strength." (Shigure)
"Oh, are any of them poisonous?" (Seth)
"Of course, Akisame will be the here to help you through." (Shigure)
"That makes it better." (Seth)
"You don't have to worry." (Shigure)
"I'm not." (Seth)
"Good." (Shigure)
"Is that all to the tour?" (Seth)
"It is." (Shigure)
"Then let's head back to my parents." (Seth)
As I was about to make my way back to the Dojo building Shigure picked me up from behind. As she started heading towards the dojo slowly. She stalled for time for them I wonder what they're planning but I already have a pretty good idea.
"You know I don't like to be picked up." (Seth)
"I know." (Shigure)
"Then why do it again?" (Seth)
"Wanted to." (Shigure)
"Fine can you please go a bit faster though." (Seth)
"No, enjoy being this high." (Shigure)
"Fine!" I said with a pouting face.
God, I feel squished I don't like it. Her chest is too big it feels like my arm is falling asleep. I liked it better when she was in her uniform in that you couldn't even tell that she was big. If you're wondering why I'm not happy why would I?! I literally can't do anything! She truly did take her time getting to the dojo. When we got there Akisame was in the dining room reading a familiar looking book.
"Hey, Akisame." (Shigure)
"Hey, Shigure what's wrong with Seth?" (Akisame)
"What do you mean?" as she looks down to see my uneasy face.
"I can't feel my left shoulder." (Seth)
"Haha, I see why don't you go ahead and put him down." (Akisame)
Shigure looked a bit sad when she put me down.
I move my shoulder around as I ask master Akisame a question.
"So when do we start master?" (Seth)
"Your mother did say you were excited to start, but we won't begin in 2 days." (Akisame)
"Aww ok. Where are my parents?" (Seth)
"Oh, they left." (Akisame)
"Oh is there something I can do?" (Seth)
"Why don't you go to your room and draw or write stories?" He said as he was taunting moving my new art book around.
"What a minute that's my artbook! It disappeared from my room this morning where did you find it master?" (Seth)
"Oh, your mom gave it to me." (Akisame)
"I wonder where she found it?" Yeah, right she took it and trying to embarrass me.
"I have no clue." (Akisame)
"Do we have more paper? What about colored pencils? (Seth)
"To color this?" As he showed me the picture of Shouko I drew.
"Yes, do you know anything about art? I'm having trouble deciding where the sunlight should come from." (Seth) I have no doubt you love art.
"*Chuckles*." (Shigure)
"...Yeah, I know a thing about art." (Akisame)
"I also did an outline of Master Apachai is it a good outline?" (Seth)
"...Yeah, it's almost perfect." (Akisame)
"Yeah, I'm glad you like it." (Seth)
'Oh god, he doesn't understand I'm trying to tease him I guess he's just too young to figure out what he did. Are you really a genius if you're dense?' - Akisame
