Back Home

While walking back there was sheer silence which in fact was quite pleasant. Although there was sheer silence Lissa couldn't deny the fact of the annoyance she felt due to the continuous staring she received from Trent. At an intersection I came across Sid again. After noticing the same smile I had on the day of house warming. He gave me a smirk linked his hands with Trent and dragged him away. I let out a sigh of relief and as I continued walking first I started humming and since I wasn't able to hold myself back anymore I broke out into actually singing the song.

No, I think I'll stay in tonight

Skip the conversations and the "Oh, I'm fines"

No, I'm no stranger to surprise

This paper town has let me down too many times

Why do I even try? Give me a reason why

I thought that I could trust you, never mind

Why all the switching sides? Where do I draw the line?

I guess I'm too naive to read the signs

I'm just lookin' for some real friends

All they ever do is let me down

Every time I let somebody in

Then I find out what they're all about

I'm just lookin' for some real friends

Wonder where they're all hidin' out

I'm just lookin' for some real friends

Gotta get up out of this town

(Tune)

I stay up, talkin' to the moon

Been feelin' so alone in every crowded room

Can't help but feel like something's wrong, yeah

'Cause the place I'm livin' in just doesn't feel like home

I'm just lookin' for some real friends

All they ever do is let me down

Every time I let somebody in

Then I find out what they're all about

I'm just lookin' for some real friends

Wonder where they're all hidin' out

I'm just lookin' for some real friends

Gotta get up out of this town

Lookin' for some new friends

(Tune)

I just wanna talk about nothin'

With somebody that means somethin'

Spell the names of all our dreams and demons

For the times that I don't understand

Tell me what's the point of a moon like this

When I'm alone again

Can I run away to somewhere beautiful

Where nobody knows my name?

I'm just lookin' for some real friends

All they ever do is let me down

And I let somebody in

But I find out what they're all about

I'm just lookin' for some real friends

All they ever do is let me down

I'm just lookin' for some real friends

Gotta get up out of this town, yeah

(Tune)

By the time she was done, Lissa had reached her apartment. What she didn't know was that Sid and Trent had been following her for quite a while. Once she got on the elevator, they began to question if she really was Lissa. =-O

Then again no one had such silky chestnut brown hair, or the streaks of blonde(it's a dye), so it had to be her. They had never even expected that such a cold-hearted person could have such an angelic voice, which sounded heavenly even when she sang the low pitch. ^o^

'She's definitely interesting,' Trent mused. ^ω^He then bid Sid adieu and went upstairs.

After they all had dinner, Lissa's mom brought out the mallowmelt. She served them into different bowls.

"Lavanya, earlier in the evening, there was a simply mouth-watering smell and I suspect it was from your house. May I ask what it was?" Trent's mom enquired. ʕ•ε•ʔ

"Oh! Lissa was baking today's dessert. I'm pretty sure she called it mallowmelt."

"Lissa, may I ask you something?" Trent's mom questioned.

"Sure, aunty," she replied.

"You seem to be good at baking."

Lavanya spoke up suddenly, "Of course, when my mom is not home, the only baker we require is Lissa."

Lissa's cheeks tinted pink. "Mom! And thank you for the compliment, aunty. "≧ω≦

Trent's mom giggled at her flustered expression.

"Now, now, enough chitchat! I can't wait to try the mallowmelt," said Lavanya, a fond smile on her face. They all immediately started eating their desserts. ^ω^

The way Trent's eyes widened at the first bite went unnoticed. He gave her an appraising look, reevaluating his opinion of her. ^ω^

'I didn't expect she'd have so many qualities. At school, she's good at literature and now I find out she's cold-hearted, a good baker and a good singer if she decides to pursue it.'

He watched as Lissa modestly accepted the compliments she received. 'And modest too.'

The next day was Lissa's daily routine without any disturbances and said routine was binge-watching. Since it was a weekday the next day, she also had to pack her bag for school was to start.(╥_╥)
