Chapter 16: Welcome to beacon
my team along with team rwby are now inside the library, while team rwby playing some card games me and my team reading some books, more like ren and pyrrha reading and nora sleeping while me just skimming in the book im holding lost in thought.
i then notice pyrrha waving her hand at me, i didnt notice her calling me, "are you okay? looks like your thinking so deeply you even have frown in your face" pyrrha asked me looking worried, "nah! its nothing really just thinking some weapons im going to make" i said reassuring her pyrrha just nodded but still worried, i just smiled at her then she continued reading the book she's holding its about magnetism.
i suggested to pyrrha to read this book because it might help her more of her training, i look at team rwby then walk towards them, "hey! what you guys playing?" i ask them "conquer the kingdoms of remnant" yang said "sounds fun, can i join?" i said.
"sorry ian, we already got 4 people" ruby said to me, "and besides this game requires certain tactical of cunning, that i seriously doubt you-" weiss was cut off but the looks of her team and me giving her, "wha.... what?" weiss stammered, "weiss, its ian were talking about, combining the 4 of us together he is still more cunning than us" blake explained to weiss.
weiss blushed at this because she forgot this kind of information, "of course i know!" weiss said crossing her arms trying to salvage her image, i chuckled at this "how about we play this game i created? its still working progress but i want you guys to try and you can play it with 5 people" i said to them showing the cards that i made, they saw 5 cards with different color and symbols at the back, "whoa! what this game called?" ask yang.
"its elemental nation as you can see at the back of the cards this is the symbol of the hidden village your going to play and each nation has a kage" i explained the cards to them, blake look interested when i said that the soldiers will be ninjas.
as i was still explaining the game to them sun and neptune came, "sup losers" sun said, "hey sun" ruby greeted, "ruby, yang, blake, ian, pyrrha.. ice queen" sun said while pointing at weiss last, "why is everyone keep calling me that?!" ask weiss irritated "because you look.. icy?" i said to her smirking both me and yang high five at it, "i never had a chance to formally introduce you to my old friend" sun said to us pointing at neptune.
"uhh... arent libraries for reading?" neptune ask, "thank you" ren said "pancakes!" nora yelled waking up, "shut up, dont be a nerd" sun said to neptune, "intellectual. okay. thank you.. im neptune" he retorted to sun then introduced himself, "so. neptune, where are you from?" ask weiss "haven.. and i dont believe i've caught your name, snow angel" neptune ask walking towards weiss, "oh.. he's smooth" i elbowed yang.
"uh.. im weiss" weiss introduced herself to neptune, "pleasure to meet you" said neptune, as they where talking, me and yang thinking of what pun we could say while giggling we then heard blake, "well, i think im done playing actually, i'll see you guys later" blake said walking out.
i frown seeing this, i know that she's thinking about white fang "women" nora said to us shrugging, i then look at pyrrha "go talk to her" pyrrha said to me and i nodded, then i walk out too, "men" nora then said as ian walk out.
as i walk towards the dorm i saw blake i then stop infront of her, "care to join me at the balcony?" i said to her then i headed out not waiting for her response, blake hesitated but followed along, i then leaned sat at the chair, seeing blake not sitting "dont just stand there come sit down" i beckon to her she then sit down,
"why did you choose to enroll here blake?" i started she look at me, but not waiting for her response "most of the students enroll in combat school before they enroll here me ren and nora arent part of it so those you" i continued "i was raised outside the kingdoms, you cant fight you cant survive" she said to me, "and you most certainly survive and i admire you to that blake, im very proud to say that im your friend" i said to her "why do you still that bow blake? why hide who you are?" i ask her "you guys may have accepted me but not others" said blake.
"until then as much as possible i wanna avoid any unnecessary attention. i want people to see me for who i am. not what i am" blake said "and what are you?" i ask her looking directly are her, "i.. dont understand what your asking" blake said looking away "blake are you still thinking at what happened at the docks?" she didnt say anything and look down "blake i know it's a surprise to see faunus working with a human.. specially like roman" i continued "and it wont do you any good if you keep thinking about it".
then blake stand up looking directly at me, "how can i not think about it?! they are out there with roman, stealing causing trouble and were stuck here.. i could stop them!" blake yelled at me, "you cant stop them blake, not like this.. not alone you made a promise blake. a promise to your team that you'll tell them if somethings wrong" i said to her softly, "i just.. i dont understand how everyone can be so calm" said blake now sitting down "we are still students and your teams not ready" i said to her.
"and we may never be ready! our enemies aren't just gonna sit around and wait for graduation day. they're out there planning their next move and none of us know what it is, and its coming whether we're ready or not!" she said to, "then are you really going to charge out there looking for them with your team? blake have you thought that your actions could cause a grave danger to your team? white fang are dangerous you know that but with roman working with them then they are much more dangerous!".
i said to blake raising slightly my voice, "if me and pyrrha haven't saw you and sun their at the docks you couldnt imagine what would happened, what if you died? what if sun died? and now you even want to lead your team out there to danger?! blake im not stopping you but im telling you. you need to be ready" i said to her. then i stand up "and i will help you and your team to be ready, after all me and roman still have a score to settle" then i walk towards the dorm.
as i arrive i heard someone calling me i turn around to see a green haired girl a gray haired guy and a black haired beauty, "oh.. is there something i can help? your new here arent you?" i ask them, "visiting from haven actually" said the black haired beauty i stared at her eyes "i see, your here for the festival, exchange has their own dorm it should be right there" i said to them pointing the direction towards their dorm.
"i guess we just got turned around" said the gray haired guy "thanks. mybe we'll see you around" said the black haired beauty then walk towards the direction i pointed at them "sure, oh and welcome to beacon" changing my blue eyes to yellow eyed fox just for a second enough for her to notice. she faltered a little bit but she recovered and started walking away.
