Chapter 12: What is your decision ? - II
Fu Lan was a money minding and arrogant woman. She was the only Fu princess in her family of male descendants for generations . That is why all the generation wives in her family spoiled her too much and was even married to Xun Chius making her, Madame Xun of the manor , this made her feel very high of herself.
Everything happened according to her will in Xun Manor and Fu manor when male elders were not present. She would take decisions of others lives like what would they eat, wear , which necklace to be bought and many more shopping related items in women's list like jewellery, designer dresses.
She always wanted to get position in socialite circles and parties but many times loose to Madame Jiang and some of her relatives.
But she could not rule her own daughter's life. This was only because of her husband.
It is rightly said when people say, " People change after marriage" .
This was the condition of Fu Lan . Under the influence of her husband she definitly had chanded a lot in all these years in matters of taking someone else's decisions.
This could also be said at some instances that her husband did not let her do on her accord, like the clothing sense of Amm and her room decoration and topics she would learn.
Mr. Xun Chius never allowed her to put their daughter in the dirty cobweb of socialite but taught her everything from elegance to atticates .
He had allowed her to do anything in her Fashion company but not to disturb their daughter's life. As for Fu Lan , she did not want to allow anyone to raise their doubts their daughter's style but could not do anything .
( May be it is right that parents don't disturb their children . Do your parents disturb?? My mom never let me wear anything that I want to.... I wish if I were Amm or have a father like Xun Chius )
Last night when her husband told her that he would have meeting with his clients tomorrow in the afternoon and evening and would be going to City T, so he would return during mid night .
He added that they would hold the family gathering for both the families day after tomorrow for letting Amm meet her future fiance . He decided to call Amm tomorrow and give her two days at least to decide for the marriage .
He wanted to know if there was any other man in her life, if there is someone she liked. He wanted to let Amm take her life's decision no matter of the status or reputation or the company like Fu Lan did.
But his wife was so cunning that she called Jiangs and asked to hold the meeting tomorrow instead of day after tomorrow. Even Jiang's had agreed. He was not told about this because she wanted her daughter to dress the way she did and to impress her in laws in one go with her non existing things like her style of fashion and beauty.
Amm was called according to the plan of Fu Lan. She had thrown all Amm's clothes and set the wardrobe with designer dresses .
Everything was planned rightly.
Coming back to present day....
While Fu Lan was recounting yesterday's events, she was in a complete daze and did not even got to know when her husband pulled her out of the room , leaving their daughter with sets of casual loose and simple clothes.
Xun Chius thumped her back to teach his wife some lesson for her deed and bring her back from her current dazing state.
" Aiya " Fu Lan screamed.
" What ? It pained the devil " Xun chius was now veey angry and glaring at her wife.
" I am sorry ... Look we can't do anything now. In some hours , May's future in laws will be here. Why are you standing and wasting your time ? Go and get ready... " She said in such a tone that if someone would have heard her, he might have thought that Xun Chius did not cared about time or her daughter's in laws which was not completely true in reality.
" Keep quite Lan. I will teach you a lesson later on for your deed but now I will not waste anyone's time. I am going to ask Amm about her decision , I don't want anyone's advice how to to receive my guest. I am ordering you to go and get ready first because women always take so much time to get ready at every occasion" Xun chius was angry but was going to talk to her daughter so he lightened his mood by cracking a joke about women's dressing which made Fu Lan feel offended but due to her husband's bad mood , she without saying a single word marched towards her room to prevent further trouble .
