There I stood speechless in front of him looking at the most beautiful face in the world. He smirked a little and asked, "Will you ?".
" Y-yes... But why didn't you accept the offer when I asked?", I somehow managed to spit out these words.
" You think I will let a girl go behind a guy like that? That's a guy's job to surprise his girl."
Oh my god... He called me 'his girl'. I stared at his face not expecting this.
" Since today is your birthday, I thought of surprising you... So how about, I'll pick you up at 7 pm tomorrow evening from your house?"
"Yeah... that would be good. Thanks."
There was just 30 more minuted to my first, long-awaited, date. And I haven't chose the right dress. Black, crimson, gold.... which colour would he like?? Ok... relax Claire!! Finally, I wore the crimson coloured dress which is my favourite one. Then, my mom called out that Alec is here. I hurried taking my purse outside my room. I was dumbstruck by his look. He was so.... no words to express. His copper brown eyes met against mine.
" Are you ready, Claire?", asked Alec.
" Yeah... I think so ".
He chuckled at my reaction. I blushed deeply.
" Have fun guys", my mom told.
Yeah....fun. As if! I'm nervous as hell!!
" Do you like it ? ", he asked as we sat on a fine table in a fine restaurant. It was so fancy. I would never even dream to go to such a place.
" I love it ", I said and I really meant it. That too with the person I love.
" So... How's it going...? Your school life ?", he asked.
" Nothing special ", I replied.
" Nothing....?", he asked doubtfully.
" Nothing . ", I confirmed.
" Oh. Well, today is the most special day of my school life...", he said his expression unreadable.
I blushed so deeply.
I could see his eyes get warm and his smile most generous at my reaction.
The date ended so good, so much more than I expected and then we set off the restaurant. We then walked for a bit in the cool breeze of the memorable night. He slowly grabbed my hand and held in his. His hand was so warm against the cold night.
" You look beautiful, Claire ".
" Um... Thank you? "
He chuckled at my reaction. I saw a familiar figure in the dark just a few metres away from us. When I got nearer, I realised it was Sam. I waved at him. He waved at me back, but not the way I expected. His reaction was bitter and half-hearted. I could definitely see it. He was my best friend. Alec and Sam stared at each other for a full, long, tensed minute. And then Sam left without a word.
" Never mind him " , he said.
" How can I not mind----- "
He abruptly cut me off with a sudden, soft kiss which made my heart and body shudder. The kiss was so fulfilling and overwhelming as my lips moved along his in a rhythm. I'm honestly not sure how many minutes passed, because I was busy enjoying the most waited moment in my life. He then pulled off slowly after.... I don't know. I still kept my eyes closed letting the soft feel to echo all over my body. His muscular arms wrapped around my body against his as he pulled me into a tight hug. I let my arms curl around him. That was the best moment. The fist one in my list of unforgettable nights. We walked in silence and reached his car as he dropped me off at my house and said, " Good night Claire. See you tomorrow. Sleep well ", he said this as his soft eyes met mine. I seriously couldn't help it so I gave him a small peck in his lips and quickly hopped out of the car and went inside my home. I could see him smile through the window and he set off in his car.
As I went to my room and changed into my night robes, I got a message.
" I love you, Claire " . It was from Alec.
" I love you more ", I replied.
" I love you the most ", came his sudden reply.
I, still couldn't believe what happened, went to bed to dream about my Alec a bit more, than the other days.
