Chapter 174: This thing is stinging me

Before she can reach the beaker, Eli raises his hand, keeping the beaker out of her reach.

"Give it to me." Her eyes are dangerously calm. "It's not harmful."

"Did you not hear what it did to Nick?" Eli frowns at her deeply. "It will damage your body."

"Tch!" She makes a face. "It's a risk I am willing to take."

"I am not willing to take such a risk." He says to her in the same tone, "Nell, your soul is weaker than an average human."

"So what?" She cries out anxiously. "All of you are here to take care of me if something goes wrong."

Eli stares at her. If something goes wrong? She trusts him, but she won't lean on him. "What if I do something bad to you when you?"

She blinks her eyes in surprise. The corner of her lips curls down as she furrows her brows. "I am sure that my father won't let you do something bad."

Zachary Krauss blushes when he hears those words. She is thinking of him as her father.
