Chapter 21: The renovation
I was resting at home while my parents were at work, it was a weekday today and i didn't feel like going to school.
I was on my laptop researching about Dominic's disappearance.
In the morning I was planning to go to school but when I questioned myself about Dominic and checked the school attendance record I got curious.
I hacked in to the school network and found that Dominic had not been at school for the past 2 weeks and on going. I then went to fine comb the internet but nothing came up.
During this period school already was about to start but being too intrigued by this mystery I just had to skip. You see my dilemma here?
School is not as fun as it was before now anyway because Yuuta sort of ditched me for that backstabbing girlfriend of his.
Fingerings clicking on the keys of my keyboard at high speeds that were pre trained.
Attacking the system in multiple directions, my eye brows knitted together in frustration and my arm muscles tensed as I forced myself to type faster.
I finally sat back and looked at my screen.
The system was still up and I failed to get through the wall.
How though??
I know that I'm not the best at hacking but I'm still world renowned.
Is Elijah involved? No can be, Dominic doesn't know Elijah nor the other way around unless it by status only.
Why would they be involved with each other in the first place anyway.
While hacking I did get through the corner of the wall.
I tried to exploit it but it didn't work, ever line of the wall was separately enforced, needing a different combination all together.
I understood it but I could get through to it.
It was highly frustrating.
I clicked through the information until I couldn't go anymore.
Highlighting the part which I needed more info on the running a program to write a report.
I ended up with a small pile of paper I printed out and continued to read them all starting with the basic information sheet first then going on to the reports when I needed them.
'Project XY is scheduled to be at the completion stage by 15 April 20XX (next year)
After then the newly designed project AA will take place immediately.
Finish with this mission and the plan will be in full swing, make sure you extract the information out of the Higashi and do not let our side go before then.
Make the act believable and then send the info to the MA'
The information got cut off there and the projects names were classified as well.
It was a big mystery, one that I want to get a hold of.
What worried me was the fact that they wanted to extract information out of a Higashi, was it Yuuta?
Who would they kidnap from there side though.
If it was his girlfriend then the Li family would be connected to Dominic's disappearance.
Got to get to her before that's prediction of mine is able to become a reality.
I got the reports of all the other Higashi members and found suitable candidates for that position as well.
I can't let the bigger project run, who knows, this might all connect back to my brother.
From the Higashi family I only got the ones in the main family and close branch families. Also some from the branch families who have close relationships with important people.
Reading through all of them I discarded about 12 and was left with 4 candidates.
Yuuta, his mother, his father and a branch family member.
Yuuta was closely connected to me, Dominic and the very, very far branch family member of the Hu family.
His mother had affairs with various high class and very, very, very, very far members of various noble class.
His father had business meetings with noble members and had affairs with various women.
That branch family member ones had an affair with my 2nd cousin. It was not good info to read. I haven't actually met my 2nd cousin but knowing the info that she had an affair with a branch member, I don't think I want to meet her.
Feeling tired I stopped and just went to the bed to sleep.
It was 4 in the afternoon, when I went to bed.

Dinner time came when I woke up at about 7 at night.
My butler came in creaking the door as he opened it and waking me up.
"Sorry for disturbing your rest young master but dinner is upon the table and your parents are waiting for your arrival."
"Tell then I'm coming down," I said yawning.
Arriving at the dinner table in the uncomfortable silence of dinner I quietly ate.
My father signalled for the butlers to leave and mother didn't even look at me.
"Why did you skip school today?" My father asked in a pleasant voice. He sounded glad I didn't attend school.
"I had something to do," I said back.
"What did you do then?" He kept asking.
Stubborn to keep the conversation going.
"I did homework I didn't do the day before"
"Did you finish it?"
"Yes"
"Is school hard?"
He kept asking questions upon question, very rare for him and mother was sitting there very quietly.
If I wasn't a skeptic that believed in only reality then I would've thought they switched personalities.
I sat there for quite some time giving my father clipped answers for his question.
Finally I was let go, I went to my room.
When I opened the door my jaw dropped and rage was filling my mind.
They changed my room back to how it was before!!
Now the room was spacious with the latest technology and trendy colours that were way to extravagant for my taste.
My walls looked like a piece of abstract art and my bed could probably fit an elephant.
Gymnasts could do a whole floor routine in here!
I stormed back down stairs and was planning to demand my parents to renovate my room back to how it was.
At least that's what I wanted to do.
I didn't storm down.
I sat on my over comfortable bed and grumbled to myself like a little kid.
I sulked until my eyes were too tired to stay open and I slept.
Rolling around the whole night because of the heat.
My blanket was too plush, my bed was too soft and everything was just too expensive.
In the morning I woke up with bags under my eyes.
I woke up with a very bad temper.
I planned to go to school today, I shoved the reports from yesterday in my bag, got ready, changed and left the house scheming.
How should I punish my parents?
