New day, but the customers are the same, Kate and co sat on the counter, Justin and his friends played in the tables they brought, and Levi stayed in the corner.
When all of a sudden, they heard a cute voice in the distance, "Hey guys, it's me again.." a cute 5'5 lady said as she pointed her phone towards her face, "I found out about this restaurant while scrolling my twitter feed," her cute yet annoying voice kept getting closer to the restaurant.
She's already in the restaurant, but she kept talking to her phone so she didn't realize who the customers were until her chat kept spamming, [Isn't that the three seasons?!]
The lady live streaming clearly knew the three seasons her chat kept talking about, so she looked behind her and saw three people that look like they were in a Lan party.
The trio's fame isn't to be scoffed at, they're basically celebrities.
They got their fame through hard work and perseverance, even pro teams would rather get a lost in the contract just to get a hold of one of them.
She saw Justin in casual attire, Azrael in a full black outfit and Vincent in a half formal half casual attire, sitting in the tables and playing.
The reason she knows them isn't because of their skills in gaming though, it's because of Josiah, or commonly known as '秋', the fourth season. Josiah is basically the leader in their group, and the most excellent, in terms of his skill. In the internet, people who played the same game as his revered him as the god of gaming, be it a MOBA, MMORPG, or FPS games, once he plays the game, guilds would instantly put up a sign to not cross Josiah, start up pro teams would make him a way for them to practice, to even get five rounds against this guy would make them so happy as if they had won the championship. But he myteriously disappeared like thin air.
The girl walked up to them and poked Justin, Justin took off his headset to see his who's behind him, "Oh hey, what's up Athena?"
Azrael and Vincent looked up to see who it was and also took off their headset, "What's up." they simultaneously said.
Athena turned a bit teary eyed as she stared at them, "Have you guys heard any news about Josiah?"
They shook their heads, "We'll contact you if we get news from him, we don't know what's gotten into him, he just suddenly disappeared and didn't contact us anymore aftet the incident."
Azrael looked at her apathetically, "It's been three years! Haven't you moved on?"
"Shut up Azrael!" Vincent shouted.
"It's okay, just message me if you guys have any news about him."
The two guys nodded but Azrael felt forced so he nodded as well, what irritates him is the fact that Athena hasn't moved on, he didn't know whether it was stupidity or true love because he hasn't had a girlfriend yet.
The three continued playing but their skills worsen for some reason, they didn't know if it was because Josiah is mentioned or the coffee's effect stopped working, but they said to themselves that it was the coffee, even if it isn't.
After another bad game, they packed their things and left reluctantly. They didn't even stream after they got home, they just stayed in their beds. Although Azrael isn't the most talkative in the group, he got along well with Josiah and frequently comes to him and ask him for tips, but ever since Josiah left, he felt lost. Josiah is basically his teacher, so when his disappearance is mentioned, he would get irritated.
Azrael stayed in his bed, feeling somewhat irritated, he didn't know whether the bad game caused it or the mention of Josiah. Back when the Four Seasons weren't formed yet, Azrael was only a loner, he doesn't go out, he dropped out of school, and just played all day until he got tired, but when he decided to go out because his internet got cut off, he saw Josiah in an internet cafe he used to play at.
After meeting Josiah from time to time in the internet cafe, he got courage to go outside and interact with other people. One day, Josiah was in need of a replacement for a tournament so he invited Azrael to join their team, that's when The Four Seasons were formed. Although four people isn't enough for a moba or an fps, they would just find a random guy to fill the spot. Four people that met in an internet cafe because of a tournament became the four gaming monarchs that shook the gaming world.
...
After the three left in the restaurant, Kate and co chatted about their leave, "What do you think was the cause Noah?"
Noah is a fan of the three seasons and has known them ever since their debut, "I... I think it's about the fourth season, Josiah, or '秋'"
['秋' is read as Aki.]
Kate got annoyed at his dumb response, "What are you talking about? And what does the fourth season have to do with them?"
"No, you don't get it. Their group is called 'The Four Seasons', they are basically live streamers that stream their games." before Kate could speak up, Noah placed his index finger on her lips to shut her up, "The reason why they probably left is because of the mention of the fourth season's sudden disappearance."
Kate furrowed her eyebrows, "Isn't it normal for people to quit when they got bored of the game though?"
Noah is starting to feel annoyed, "It isn't just a game to them, Josiah's sudden disappearance made a big impact to them, both emotionally and to their group."
"Why? Where did that Josiah guy go?"
"It's been three years since his disappearance, and as you can see, they couldn't even find a trace of him."
...
Inside an internet cafe in the slums, a ton of people are watching behind a guy playing, teens who saw this commotion asked a person watching, "What's going on?"
"Haven't you heard?! The boss is playing today!"
One guy heard their conversation, "Pfft, you haven't even heard the boss of this internet cafe? Are you living in a cave?"
They continued watching the guy, the guy didn't even need two magazines for the pistol round, if he sees an enemy, he shoots, if it doesn't hit a headshot, it would atleast hit their body.
The guy playing clicked his tounge while he plays, although he hits their bodies he looks somewhat dissatisfied.
The game went on and if the guy won a 1v5, people behind him would cheer like crazy, "As expected of the boss, he easily 16-0'd the game."
"What about you? Can you do that?"
"Hmph! Easy. C'mon, let's get a spot and play what the boss is playing!"
The two hurriedly tried to find a vacant spot and told the guy to open it to them for two hours.
He took off his headset and went to the counter, a guy walked down the staircase and walked towards him, "Josiah, business is good today, huh?"
Josiah nodded and smiled, "It's all thanks to you boss."
The guy stared at Josiah for a full five seconds before he spoke up, "With your skills, you can make it into a pro team, why bother being an internet cafe attendant?"
Josiah stayed silent, the guy he calls boss continued, "Don't worry, I could easily find a replacement for you. You're still young, you should make use of that gaming skills of yours."
Josiah still stayed silent, holding his right arm tightly. In these past three years, ever since he sprained his arm, his skills started to deteriorate, from being a one shot one kill, it turned into two, then to three, and so on. The reason of his sudden disappearance is because of this, he doesn't want to drag the Four Seasons down with him just because of his right arm, so he disappeared and got a new identity as an internet cafe attendant.
It has a TKA feel to it, but it only resembles it a little.
I'm ecstatic! So it would be expected that there would be another chapter later.
What do you guys think about the chapter? Is it just Meh or Good?
