Chapter 19: Chapter 18: I hold my promise
Because of Chu Qiao's explanations, she became an apple of eye of everyone.
"You... You've passed" Shi Yan said
And again Chu Quao felt so happy and can't help but so giggled. "Thank you! Thank you prince! Thank you prince!"
She said while bowing, but because of her expression the queen get more irritated.
She don't know but seeing Chu Quao's smiling makes her more pissed. "Enough with that! I'm tired!"
The queen walk out and the king go after her. "As you can hear, the queen was tired. Let's continue this tomorrow"
As the announcer said that, the men go home one by one. But Chu Quao did not go back, she go to the prince and smiled at him brightly.
"Prince!"
Chu Quao shouted even she's just beside him. "Your just near to me, no need to shout!"
Chu Quao cover her mouth, "Bupbup bwa!"
Shi Yan's brows wrinkled, "What?"
"Oops!" Chu Quao remove her hand on her mouth first before continuing. "I said sorry prince" Chu Quao was still smiling.
"You can go now, the competition will resume tomorrow" Chu Quao pouted her lips
"But I was staying at your house. So let me hold you arms and lead you to our house" Shi Yan's heart bounced.
"W-what did you just said?" He asked. Chu Quao gives him an innocent look.
"I said we are going to our house"
Shi Yan don't know but his heart beats fast.
'How can she easily say 'our house' without hesitation?' -he thought
"It's not 'our' it's just 'mine'" Shi Yan emphasises the word mine.
Chu Quao nod her head. "Ok then... let's go back to my house"
Shi Yan forgot that Chu Quao was a stupid woman. She's just act so smart earlier and now here she is, playing dumb things to him.
"I had a head ache because of you woman" Shi Yan said while massaging his forehead.
"What? Why? I didn't do anything prince! Trust me, I didn't do anything!" She said defending herself.
"Stupid" Shi Yan said and let her to take care of him until they reach to his house.
When Chu Quao brought him to his bed, he immediately ask her a question. "Why did you leave and where did you go?"
Chu Quao put her index finger to her chin and remembering why did she leave. "Oh! Well prince I actually leave the palace and find some cottage to stayed... But unfortunately I have no money"
Shi Yan sigh, how can she possibly buy a cottage if at first she had no money.
"I want to be strong so I leave to be independent. I want to learn how to protect myself in the future so no one will hurt me" Chu Quao said and proud to herself
"Really?" He asked sarcastically. He thought she wants to be strong to be able to protect herself and also him. Because that is the job of a shadow, well it was just a thought.
"Yes! So while I was wandering and strolling again outside, I planned to eat double to my regular food usually eat. I will eat six times a day so I will get bigger and bigger and bigger to get stronger!" She said admiring and have a lots of confidence.
"But I had no money..." Shi Yan can't help but to 'tsk-ed'
"So when I saw the paper posted, saying that they were looking for the prince's shadow, I immediately come back. I want to go back because I have no money and also I want to keep my promised" Chu Quao look like she was telling a bed time story to Shi Yan.
"And now I'm here, I already fullfill my promise" she smiled at him
"No you aren't"
"Why not?" She asked
"You promise to be my shadow and you want to prove that you deserve it right?" Chu Quao nod her head.
"So your just in half of your promise"
"But I'm already here" she demanded
"Yeah, but your not still my shadow. Win the competition and you've done with your promise" he said, Chu Quao smiled
"Of course prince, I won't break my promise"
"Be careful for tomorrow, the last round won't be that easy" he watned
"Of course i can pass that. I will make you proud prince!" She said with full of energy
"Fine then" Shi Yan lie down to his bed. He felt so tired for sitting more than days.
The time in Heavenly Realm was fast. Also in other Immortal world. The day in them was a year in mortal world. That's why if you sit for an hour, you are sitting for a days in mortal world.
"You can go now"
Chu Quao didn't follow him, she come closer to Shi Yan and arrange his bed first, she pull up the blanket up to his chest. "Just call me if you need anything prince"
Shi Yan just nod his head before closing his eyes. "Sweet dreams"
Even Chu Quao was just whispering, he can hear what just she say. He heard a footsteps walking away from him and the sound of the closing door. In unknown reason he smiled.
'I will really have a sweet dreams', -he thought
