Chapter 16: Chapter 15: The Minotaur
Chu Quao was with Qiao Qiao. She was with him wherever she goes. While walking and picking flowers that they were passed by, Chu Quao saw one of her fellow contestant.
"Hey!" She call out his attention
The man turn his head to look who was the one calling him. As he saw Chu Quao walking towards him, he's wondering why Chu Quao don't have any sword on her hand.
"Where is your sword?" He asked, Chu Quao look around her and search for the sword.
"Where?"
The guy's brow wrinkled, "You don't have one?" Chu Quao shook her head
"How come? Each of us has a snow sword" he said confusingly
Chu Quao shrugged, "I don't know"
"If that so, good luck to your journey" the guy said and smirked at her. The man was about to leave when Chu Quao stops her.
"WAIT!"
Chu Quao immediately grab his wrist. "Can we come with you?"
The guy look around to see whose with Chu Quao but there is no one except them. "We? But we are only two here"
Chu Quao turn around and she can't see Qiao Qiao. "Where is Qiao Qiao?"
She asked herself, "And who is Qiao Qiao?"
"My friend, but she left me alone... or maybe--" Chu Quao looked at the guy and stared at his eyes asking to help her to find Qiao Qiao.
"Don't give me that look man" he said in disgust
"Please let's find Qiao Qiao!" Chu Quao desperately said
The guy shook his head, he won't risk his life just to help Chu Quao. "Forgive, but I won't help you"
"Please help me, I promise to repay you" but the guy still ignore her
Chu Quao give her best to convince the man but she did not succeed. "Qiao Qiao wheee are you?" She was talking to herself like crazy
"Hrrmmm!"
She hear Qiao Qiao's voice and lift up her head. She saw Qiao Qiao was just behind her.
"QIAO QIAO!" she ye out his name. But instead of give Chu Quao a smile Qiao Qiao frowned at her.
Chu Quao hugged him, "I thought you leave me"
If Chu Quao only knows that Qiao Qiao needs to hide from other men. Because if he showed up they will definitely kill him. Even though he will be alive again, of course he don't also want to leave Chu Quao until she didn't finished her task.
Now Chu Quao and Qiao Qiao was still wondering around. They encounter some wierd plants and Chu Quao want to pick some of them but Qiao Qiao always stoping her.
Before she come near to those plants, Qiao Qiao can stop her or block her way. She didn't know but she thought that those plants was some important to Qiao Qiao.
"Qiao Qiao, where is your mother? Your father? Are they here?" She asked
Qiao Qiao nodded his head, "But where are they?"
"Hrrmmm...hrrmmm" Chu Quao can't understand Qiao Qiao so he do a sign gestures, he was using his head and jumping a little to tell Chu Quao that his parents was away.
Chu Quao nodded her head as she understands Qiao Qiao. "We're the same, my mother was also away but even though I still love her and it never lessen even a little" she said as she smiled at Qiao Qiao
"Let's go, I want to go out this place now" Qiao Qiao nod his head as he agreed.
They're supposed to leave when suddenly a man was thrown into them. The man fall near them and groan in pain, a man who fell out was followed by another guy.
They both lying on the floor, Chu Quao immediately run to them. "Mister are you alright?"
The guy didn't answer her and he went unconscious, same as the other man. Chu Quao was confused, she don't know how she will be able to save them.
But seconds later they vanished. And right after the men was gone, she hear a hard and loud footsteps coming to their place.
As she turn around she saw a beast, half bull and half man. He's more taller and bigger than her size.
The minotaur slowly walk onto her, but Qiao Qiao defended Chu Quao.
Qiao Qiao position himself like he was going to attack the minotaur.
"What are you doing?" The minotaur asked with his big and deep voice.
Qiao Qiao replied by connecting his mind onto the minotaur. 'You can hurt anyone in here but not this girl'
The minotaur get mad, 'Why is that? Why that girl is important?!'
They were having their conversation through their minds so Chu Quao can't understand them.
'She save my life' the minotaur laugh sarcastically when Qiao Qiao replied at him.
The minotaur grin, he look at Chu Quao whose behind Qiao Qiao. "You fooled him, how can you do that?"
Chu Quao point herself, "Me? No I didn't fool him. We are just friends"
"Friends? Pathetic!" The minotaur snorted
"I mortal like you can't have a MONSTER friend. You should know that!" Instead of arguing, Chu Quao smiled at the minotaur.
"It doesn't matter if he's a monster or not. Having a friend is fun, because someone will be there if you need comfort. A friend is not basing a physical appearance, it's the content of someone's heart. You don't need the face, you need the character" A bright smile on Chu Quao's face was still there.
But the minotaur get angrier, "I DON'T CARE ABOUT FRIENDS! HAVING A FRIEND IS MAKING YOU A HARD LIFE"
The minotaur immediately run to them and getting ready to attack. But luckily Qiao Qiao blocked him.
"Hrrmmm, hrrmmmm!" Qiao Qiao signing Chu Quao to leave, but Chu Quao can't understand him.
The minotaur punch Qiao Qiao's body, he groan in pain. But Qiao Qiao didn't mind his wound and he manage to attack the minotaur with a sharp peck.
As the minotaur let go of him, he immediately take Chu Quao and fly above the sky. At first it was hard to spread his wings because his left wing was injured, but he used all his strength to escape.
They are now flying but not that high like before when Qiao Qiao wasn't injured. But they can manage to escape from the minotaur.
While in the middle of the air, Qiao Qiao was out of energy. He can't fly any longer, he's drained.
So while they're flying, Qiao Qiao was slowly falling down. "Qiao Qiao are you alright? What's happening?!"
Chu Quao was worried, and asking again and again to know what's happening to Qiao Qiao.
Even Qiao Qiao was falling, he manage to fall with a better landing so Chu Quao won't hurt. Right after Qiao Qiao fell, Chu Quao immediately check on Qiao Qiao.
"Qiao Qiao! Qiao Qiao!" She repeatedly calling his name so he won't get unconscious. As Chu Quao noticed that Qiao Qiao was forcing not to fall asleep, she immediately look around to find some herbal medicine.
"Wait for a little bit Qiao Qiao, I will find some medicine" Qiao Qiao didn't respond and let her to find his medicines.
But as Chu Quao stood up to find Qiao Qiao's find some remedy. She felt dizzy, she saw her hands slowly fading.
"W-what happened?" Qiao Qiao was aware of what's happening to Chu Quao.
'She's going back'
"Hrrmmm..." Chu Quao look back to Qiao Qiao.
She was nervous, she don't know what's happening, she's confused. If she was leaving how about Qiao Qiao.
"No... No... QIAO QIAO!"
But she can't do anything as she vanished without saying goodbye to Quao Qiao. And worst she knew that Qiao Qiao will die if his wound couldn't treated immediately.
