Chapter 4: New kid
The weekend went by too fast and Monday came along with her uniform for her new school. it was a simple white button up blouse along with a pleated grey skirt that reached right above her knees. paired with white thigh high stockings and black flats delilah looked rather pretty with her auburn hair braided to the side. she practiced her smile in the mirror getting ready to meet her new classmates. delilah was happy to have a fresh start where no one knew of her breakdown but a nagging feeling in heart wouldnt go away. what if someone sees her arms? luckily it was fall and she was allowed to wear a blue cardigan that covered up her scars but she wasn't looking forward to all of the probing eyes. being the new kid sucked for anyone regardless of how you look or how rich you are. it takes a while to make friends and people judge you constantly to see if you meet up to their standards.
keeping this in mind delilah climbed out of her uncles car following her oldest cousin Jareth. he was 14 and ridiculously smart so despite being 3 years younger than her, he ended up in the same grade. jareth was a handsome fellow with blonde wavy hair that reached his shoulders and eyes as dark as coal. looking completely different it was no wonder people assumed they were a couple as they walked down the hall together. stifling a laugh she watched jareth flush red at the impolite whispers then pointed to a doorway.
" that's Ms. Marshall's office she will give you the schedule you need".
too awkward to stick around he scampered off to class leaving delilah standing there laughing. her cousins are just too cute!
