Ch.22 : Trip to the Capital
It's still morning but we are on the way to Capital City of Terrascape, Sorst where the castle built. Inside the royal carriage, there was me, Lily, and Vi inside and guarded by some knights with carriage in front and behind us. Lily and I sit next to each other and Vi in front of us.
Yesterday Vi, a princess from Terrascape Kingdom finally graduate from the academy as the top student there. She has received a letter from his father to come home soon as she graduate for a graduation party also welcoming party for the Hero that summoned last year. Since her guardian, Franz passed away from the Chimera attack three years ago, somehow I and Lily became his subtitute for her guardian.
"So, how long until we arrive at Darial?" (Lily)
"It's about two weeks as I remember. I do not know too since I spend three years full in Razel with you two. Thanks to you I have grown stronger." (Violet)
"Well, I must say my thanks too. With the books you borrowed for us, I found the suitable traing for us."
Vi studied aboard for three years in Razel. After the attack, she trained with us even when she was in her holiday. We got our payment in front before the training. It's not a money we got but a book. Thanks to that knowledge I can made an effective training for us three.
"For us? If I remember correctly, only you that read those books." (Lily)
"Then, it's your fault to not read it."
Lily clench her teeth showing her annoyance to my word. Seems like I overused it to provoke them when training and seems like I can't stop making someone feels annoyance through my word anymore even though I just want to have a normal conversation.
"But still, I must impressed with your growth, Vi."
"Really?" (Violet)
Somehow her eyes shine like a dog that just receive a praised from her master. You must stop wasting your time for make that, Alina.
"Yeah, you manage to raise your level until 37 in three years. Maybe, you should say thanks to High Orcs and Chimera you killed before to made your growth this crazy."
"Eh? What do you mean? And why you can said my level without an appraisal paper?" (Violet)
She surprises that I know that since someone levels is a secret for themselves except someone has [Divine Appraisal]. And that skill only will be given to the Heroes.
"Ah right, I haven't told you about this. I think it's not a problem since you have gained my trust."
Vi's expression become serious and her body is stiffened.
"To be honest, I have <Spirit's eyes> so I can tell your level accurately. Thanks to that too I can see spirits like Alina and Sylph behind you two. I could communicate with them as well since I have this."
"Eh? You never told me about it before!" (Lily)
"Sorry."
She is sulking now. Well, I will ignore her for now.
"Do you know what is your job?"
"Yeah, I am a priest." (Violet)
"Holy Priest to be exact."
"Eh?" (Violet)
She confused when I told her that.
"You not believe it?"
She shakes her head.
"I will believe when you can show it to me." (Violet)
"Allright."
I visualized what I see in the air. I have a better control with my mana and now I can manipulate it freely. I make a board that shown her status.

Lily asking the same thing as Vi got before. It can't be helped since she ask for it so I immediately showing her status.

Vi looks down when see Lily's status. It can't be help since she has trained and killed many strong monsters in past six years.
"Well, I think I can beat anything with this." (Lily)
She seems pleased when look at her status. I already expected that but I can't let her be overconfident with herself.
"I am not thinking this is acurate. All of the number just a measure of our hardwork and will continue to grow if we train it. Don't just because you know you have a power now make you big-headed. There are more people that stronger than you and still polish their skill until now. So, don't be satisfy yet because we don't know what kind of enemy we will face on."
Hearing my word, they are all looks down and reflect themselves. Lily looks like realize what will happen if she kept her attitude before and Vi, she seems like she has been fired up with reason. She realize there is no point for her to feels small and stopping what has her doing until now. She has made her own resolved
"Thanks Ray, I feel stupid if I became a cocky just by looking those numbers." (Lily)
I smile to her hearing what she said and pat her head.
"That's good, you can realized your mistake quickly that it show you din't force your ego and can hear another people thoughts about you do. It's important to make you grow though."
She smile back to me after she kept my word in her mind. I am happy that she want to be corrected if she wrong.
"Then, can you show us your status?" (Violet)
"No."
Vi looks like curious with my status and asked me to show her but I instantly refuse that. She looks at me with angry.
"Why?" (Violet)
"Because I don't want to."
"We have shown our status before and now it's your turn!" (Violet)
"I don't remember we made that kind of deal. It's your fault asking for it."
"Ray, I want to know too." (Lily)
Like a spoiled child, she asking to me with a bright eyes.
"I want to know too." (Alina)
From Vi's back, Alina showed her self.
"That's not good for man keeping a secret from ladies." (Sylph)
Now Sylph also shown herself.
"Haven't you know already?"
Both Lily and Vi looks confuse when I spoke alone. I who realize it put my hand on my face and Sylph lets out a giggle. This woman really an expert to cornering me.
"Allright, I will show it to you all!."
I pour my mana in the air and the board that contain my information come out.

They are looking at my status and read it carefully. I can tell by myself that my status is absurdly high, even higher if I compare it with Lily. Even though human supposed to be the weakest, somehow I broke the rules since a long time ago.
"I never heard a job named 'Magic Assassin' before." (Violet)
"Same as me." (Lily)
Seems like no one ever get this job that mean I am the first one. So that's why everyone looks completely blank when looking at my guild card. The job will be obtain when we turned 15, any job you pick before those age will be consider as a temporary job. That was what I conclude about my job that written in '-' three years ago.
"That's mean, I will be the first one who will reveal the true power of this job. Heh, This will be fun!"
I grin while turning my face to the window. I can sense about thirty people waiting from the forest ahead. Wherever we go in this world, we can found this kind of bandit. It's a common plot that always appeared in fantasy books. They are weak and only win in number. Again with those thought, I really glad if they are the same like that but we never know in reality. Maybe I can testing my new skill that I create not long ago.
"Hold the carriage, I will go out!"
I shout through the window and with that our march halt by my command.
"Who are they?" (Lily)
She already knew what will I do. So instead asking me about that, she asking me about their identity.
"Bandit maybe, I will go out and play with them for a while."
"Let me help." (Violet)
"Me too." (Lily)
I close my eyes for a while. This will be good for warm up before the main event, that what I thought. I put a grin at them.
"Do as you like."
I stepped out the carriage and they are following me behind.
"Is there anything wrong, captain? Uh...nevermind." (Knight)
One of the knight asking me about what is happening but take back the question because maybe he already know what will I do by just looking at my expression. All the knights already knew me since three years ago after our first training. They are worried about Vi and searched her the entire town. We met by chance and Vi introduced us to them and apologized for the ruckus she made.
I forgot to tell that I am became a captain for this march by the order of Vi and every knights accept it. Those knights acknowledge me as a friend of her. The reason there are no one against this order because I and Lily have reached our target to became an A-Rank adventurer and known as [Lord of Hunter] since all the quest we were took was subjugation quest and completed it without failed.
We are currently far enough from our unit when suddenly an arrow shot right to me. With reflex I step back and the arrow missed the target. From the bushes.
"To think you will went out from the carriage with only two little brat." (Bandit Leader)
One of the bandit said so to Vi that I think he is the leader. Comparing it with the other members, he is the highest in level among all of them. Their level is 30 in average. Like I thought, the reality is different.
"Well, to think you will show yourself instead of hiding yourself, such a fool."
"Whaaaat!?" (Bandit)
The bandits face turn into an anger.
"Let's give those brat a lesson and kidnap the princess." (Bandit Leader)
The leader calmly give an order to his underlings with an evil smile. More of the bandits come out from the bushes. He must be thought that we will regret our decision to fight them with their number. Unfortunately for them, all of this kind is getting me excited and it also works on Lily. For Vi, she already focused herself on the fight. I can't hide my excitement and laugh at them.
"Hahahahahaha....to think you all really a fools. There is one rule you must know in a fight, never tell your enemies about what will you do or you will be crushed."
I widely grin to them and make a face that absolutely feel like mocking them.
"You little brat... You will regret it! Shot them!" (Bandit Leader)
He give a command to their archer to attack us but nothing comes out from their hiding. The other bandits confused why their archer not attacking as their leader command.
"What's wrong!? Shoot them!" (Bandit Leader)
With the frustation he can't hide it anymore, he once again give the command.
"It's pointless you know. They are all already dead."
Putting a triumph face, I told them that their archer already dead. The bandits startled with my declaration and step back a little.
"Now, how about we playing together?"
They are fell in silent and not answering my question. I and Lily draw or weapon and send two heads to the air and Vi blow one of the bandits to the ground with her magic shot.
"Your silent will consider as 'yes' to us." (Lily)
"Now, let's have our game on."
Both of us sent our evil grin to them. We already know each other for six years and I knew that somehow I influence her character a bit. Seems like she already know the reason about my excitement that I have when fighting. For Vi, she already know us well so she doesn't bother with our weird thinking on fight. Like I said before, Let's the game on.
