"Yes, sir! We managed to locate him at the Mountain Fina two days ago but we also lost track of him there," said Jeffry.
"Mountain Fina, mmm...mmm." Kent is walking towards the window "Mountain Fina, Jeffry get the green book on the shelves. The one with the gold leaf mark."
Jeffry gets the book and pass it to Kent. Kent flips the book pages quickly and he finally stops and put the book on the table. "Come and look at this." Everyone come closer to the table and see a map in the book. The map is a hand-drawn map and what written on the map is Mount Fina and a big tree.
"Find this big tree. Once you found it try to use this badge." Kent give the badge to Jeffry and the others enter the teleportation portal to search for the big tree.
(I will save you, Mikayla. That monster cannot be awakened.)
Joshua is standing in front of a glass coffin. Inside there lay a beautiful woman, she looks like to be in the twenties. Her skin is pale but it did not diminish her beauty. Her golden hair is spread like flowing water. Her beautiful white Wings added the charm and all that left is for the woman to open her eyes. Joshua wants to go near her but there is a barrier preventing him to go near. He places his hand on the barrier hoping to reach her but it is futile.
"Sir Joshua, there is a problem with Mikayla," said Assistant 2.
"What happen?" said Joshua and turn around to see the assistant. "Didn't they say if we get his heritage Maria can awaken."
"The heritage already integrates with him. Professor Shane already went to see the director to discuss this," said Assistant 2.
Joshua walks out of the room and head directly to the director room. When he arrives he heard that Professor Shane wanted to kill Mikayla but the director opposes it.
"If Mikayla already integrates with the heritage then it is the best," said Joshua.
"Joshua, it is good that you come. Professor Shane already lost his composure," said Director May.
"I'm not! If we cannot get the heritage how can we use it to awake Maria?" said Professor Shane.
"Mikayla is the heritage itself," said Director May.
"What! Director May your conjecture may be true but he inherited it without cleansing. The reason why we cleanse it at the very first place because it has been contaminated and become fallen heritage. Now the heritage already integrate with Mikayla if we use Mikayla then his magic power will be contaminated with the fallen energy. It will be poison to Maria," said Professor Shane.
"Maria will not be contaminated. Did you forget that she has a very strong purification magic power," said Joshua.
"Talking like you know everything about Maria," said Professor Shane.
"Professor Shane before you come here to join us, Joshua is her guardian so naturally he knows everything about her," said Director May.
"Hump!" Professor Shane show a dissatisfied face towards Joshua.
"We will use Mikayla to awaken Maria. The heritage is part of her so it surely able to respond to her," said Director May. "Professor Shane go and take a rest. After this take Mikayla to see Maria and you Joshua go and prepare Mikayla."
"Alright," said Joshua while Professor Shane still not satisfied with the solution but he knows the director is a great scientist himself and will never make careless suggestion.
Mikayla that lay on the table is half dead, the pain he felt nearly makes him crazy. His voice is already gone due to the screaming and now unable to utter a word. He found out that the pain has stopped when he woke up earlier and there is no one in the laboratory. He tries to moves but the pain stops him.
"Awake? You are strong, worthy as the inheritor of Maria heritage," said Joshua.
Seeing Joshua, the screaming in his head started once again. It puzzles Mikayla because the screaming did not appear when he sees others like the professor and assistant. The screaming only appear when he see Joshua. The danger warning in his head make him ignore the pain and struggle to escape.
"Stop struggling, look at your hand and leg they are bleeding." Joshua approach Mikayla and start to open the chain that bound Mikayla. The assistant get a stretcher and wait for Joshua instruction. Mikayla is dumbfounded, he did not know what Joshua wants to do and he unable to moves because of the pressure emitted from Joshua. Joshua then carry him in a princess carry and put him on the stretcher. "Send him to the room beside Maria room and treat all his wound. Maria can't see how hideous her inheritor is," said Joshua as he walks out of the laboratory.
Maria, Maria, Maria. Who is she and why is my heritage comes from Maria? It comes from my father. In the room the assistant help to clean Mikayla and treat his wound. He is given healing potion and have a good meal. Not having anything for three days Mikayla is starving and gulped down the food all the food and ask for more. The assistant did not talk much and give everything Mikayla ask.
"Hey! who is Maria?" ask Mikayla.
The assistant "..."
Mikayla stares at the assistant with his cute face and expectation. The assistant avoid Mikayla's eyes and start cleaning the plates. Mikayla is an expert on this, in his previous life being cute is his forte and he rarely fails when using this tactic. He did not feel any shame because it is a sin not using his cuteness.
"Hey! I'm asking you," ask Mikayla.
"That assistant is mute," said Jack. Mikayla startle seeing Jack.
"When did you come in?" said Mikayla.
"Just now. I never know you're that cute," said Jack with a smile on his face.
"Who is Maria? Why is Joshua said that my heritage belongs to Maria? What are going to do with me?" ask Mikayla. He is sure that Jack knows everything and he needs to know everything.
"Why I should tell you, mmm?" said Jack as he sits beside Mikayla. Seeing Mikayla is going to explode he continues "Your father heritage comes from Maria. She created the heritage but your father did not know about this and now you inherited it."
"Then Maria is already died? What do you need me for if Maria already died?" said Mikayla.
"It is believed that Maria is only asleep and not died," said Jack. He places his hand on Mikayla head and start healing Mikayla's wound. The healing potion is not strong enough to heal the internal injuries that Mikayla get from the cleansing process. "Your heritage contains the power of Maria and most likely be able to awaken her."
"What! Only the dead can produce heritage as a dying will but how can Maria...?" said Joshua.
"You ask too many questions is time to sleep," said Jack
"But..." unable to finish his sentence Mikayla falls asleep.
