Chapter 2: Another day at school
Next day,they both-Jenny and Mike were called by their claass teacher.
Teacher-"Jenny and Mike,you both are selected to be' head girl 'and 'head boy' and you both have to take the title ,i am not going to listen any excuses"
Jenny-"but mam my parents.."
she did not let her complete her sentence and said "i will talk to your parents ,any other problem"
Jenny-"No mam"
Teacher-"What about you Mike, do you have any problem"
Mike-"No mam"
Teacher-"Ok then,you both will soon participate in oath ceremony,probably on annual function day of our school and will be announced as head girl and head boy ; for now go back to your class".
Jenny did not refused for the second time,and accepted the proposal, because she actually wanted to take the title,since she might get a chance to be friends with Mike.
Jenny while returning to her class ,was lost in her thoughts-
"Has he accepted this proposal this time because of me?....or it is just a coincidence that we both accepted the proposal ,when we were asked for the second time"
Jenny was ,so lost in her thoughts that she did not realise that she was about to pass by her classroom door,instead of entering into,until Mike who was behind her ,reminded her.
Later on,after the academic classes got over,for the day,the whole school was empty because students of all other classes had gone their houses. Only these intermediate class students were in school, for attending their preperatory classes.
For their preparatory class,the teacher was late,so, all the students were out of the class ,chilling,on the ground , in few small groups,gossiping and having fun.
Jenny was sitting in the classroom, reading her story book , when a group of her classmate girls,came by and started a conversation,which was joined later,by Jenny.
Jenny was simply listening to their conversation when suddenly one girl of group asked her-"Do you love someone,i mean do you have boyfriend"
Jenny-"No...,not till now"
girl-""why?"
Jenny-"I did not find anyone till now"
(Poor Jenny she was so excited when she was asked this question,and wanted to tell about her love for Mike,but she could not tell ,because Mike was sitting just in front of her,reading his notes).
girl-"what are your plans for future"
Jenny-"I want to become a doctor,but i am not sure, i can become one or not,because you know there is so much competetion,and i know myself that i am an average scoring student and i even don't know that i will be able to get a chance of one year for prepairing for medical entrance exam "
girl-"so what are your plans ,if you could not become a doctor"
Jenny-" probably,i will be a teacher,i like teaching"
girl-"what if you got a good score in medical entrance exam,then which college will you prefer for studying?"
Jenny-"i will choose Xavier medical college,of capital".
girl-"why ,why not any other college?"
Jenny-"that's because it is the oldest and top listed college of our country ,so ,i think ,what i will be able to learn here would be best."
While conversating with her friends Jenny's, eyes were randomly scanning the classroom,it was then ,when she saw Mike ,nodding his head,as if he agrees at it.
Jenny-"Was he really nodding at my statement or it was because of the notes he was reading"
She was confused thinking all this stuff, while cycling back to her home.
