Chapter 6: Ch. 6 Demon
"What it is? Is it bad?" Ling Xi asks, the vegetables lay forgotten in the stream. He stands and peers to his face.
"You can make both elixir and poison, life and death. The people who have this kind of body constitution are powerful, so powerful that the heaven became jealous, plotting a way to kill them all. You cannot stay in this realm forever, five years from now, when you became twenty-one years of age a lightning tribulation more powerful than any beings in this realm would strike and kill you to smithereens." he clarify, looking how Ling Xi's face became paler and paler until white as snow. He doesn't want to say it, and just forcefully drag him to another realm when the time comes but decided against it, he is a wanted man himself, if one day some things makes them part ways then it is better for him to know.
He came from heaven, knows what they could do if they are jealous of someone or something, they became unreasonable and just killing those who are blessed with better attributes than them. He even know that recently an alchemist died in human realm because of the instigation from the people on high-level heavenly realm, it is the case that he is investigating when they betrayed him. He knows the wrath of heaven because he himself nearly died because of him having a fire, water, air elemental.
The warriors have different elemental or affinity, having earth affinity the giver of life if given a proper technique and having a high innate talent is like controlling the plants, dirts, metals,or basically everything the earth has to offer, under the earth affinity are; plant affinity, land affinity, and animal affinity and under those are much much more different affinities.
The fire affinity are the destroyers, fire affinity is like having fire, flames, magma and other affinity under you. The fire affinity can in his strongest can control a realm and stop it in circulating around the high-level heavenly realm, where the gods reside.
Then wind affinity and water affinity is always combined, they are the ultimate destruction, under them is lightning, storms, tsunamis, they are the favourite of the assassin sects because they can kill you many feet apart by forcefully draining your blood in your body.
When he is just newly born, his father tried to smother him in his sleep, luckily his mother rescued him, escaped from the high-level heavenly realm and go to the Heavenly realm. She trained him to become the perfect killer while planning their revenge, and when they came back, blood flows like a river, killing all those who oppose him in getting his rightful place.
Right now, because of the heavenly grade pill, he completes in getting all four affinity, a case never to be seen or mentioned in history.
Defeated and exhausted, Ling Xi sat in one of the stones. He just really want to live, he wants to travel the world, if possibly became a legend yet he can't do that if even just living, he has a time limit.
"Don't tell me you give up already? We have eight realm remember? This one is just one, if the human realm restrict you for living here, then we go to another one. If all of them restricted you in living, we are going to kill all the people making laws in High-level heavenly realms and became rulers ourselves." Cheng Li says before sitting beside Ling Xi, holding the little one in his arms.
"Can you really do that? Accompany me in another realm?" a feeble voice slightly quivering come out from the person in his chest.
"Yes. Of course I can, we will treat this realm as our starting point, build our strength and talent and conquer the high level heavenly realm and make our own laws."
"Then, You'll going to accompany from now on, no take back."
"No. No take back, I assure you."
"and.. And you can't kill me either." Ling Xi says, speaking in a little voice, almost like a whisper.
"No i won't" 'My wife' he really wants to say that but he opts to omit it, the little ones claw is currently sheathed right now and he doesn't want to make him angry again.
They stay like that, cuddling in silence, just enjoying each others company and warmth.
"My vegetables!" Ling Xi exclaimed before jumping, trying to get out of the two arm caging him. Cheng Li decided to let go of him but gritting his teeth in anger. His little wife choose the vegetables than to be with him? Very good, I'm not going to forget this.
Ling Xi unaware to the person at his back currently glaring at the vegetables continue cleaning the food he harvested, oblivious to the fact that Cheng Li even started his own notebooks tallying all his sins on it, planning his punishment in his mind. Ah, ignorance is a bliss.
After cleaning and carrying home all his harvest, Ling Xi brings out the small table, put it in the verandah including a long and wide countertop. He wants to pickle the vegetables and make fruit jams tonight and tomorrow he would concentrate on cultivating and produce a soul force to start his alchemy and poison making.
He finished making the pickles in an hour before starting the jam. He finish dicing the fruits, putting a rock sugar and currently just waiting for the jam to thickens. Night is approaching, and he is thinking about what to cook, he can't ask Cheng Li because he just disappear, telling him that he had to do something, when suddenly a roar came, so loud that even covering his ears, he can still hear it, what he doesn't know is his eyes and mouth are already dripping blood. His organs are already failing to function, his head is in pain. He shouted, he is in so much pain that he really wants to just die. In his hazy eyes, he sees the knife lying in the table, grabbing it and pointing at himself, but before he can even stab himself he collapsed, his body giving up when it cannot take anymore pain.
Overhead, a red eye is looking at him.
Thirsty…
Hungry…
Salivating in human flesh…
