Chapter 35: Chapter 35 corruption starts, persistent bloodhounds?

as the people that Soltierre used were changing into the cursed beings something was happening within the shrinking dome as a being charged at the very center ceiling of the dome shook upon getting in contact with whoever it was!
that wasn't all, as another silhouette followed and struck the dome around the same area as the first creating an even greater disturbance as the dome began to warp and wobbled from the gathered force before a beam of pure magic supported the two front-liners.
the dome was cracking under the stress before a short-statured person that was covered by some strange shield that finally destroyed it!
but the damage that was done, the result was something that even time magic couldn't erase as sacrificial magic intertwines the victim and the culprit on a spiritual level.
Artemisia knew this as tears now flowed from her eyes as her kindness was something that her kind knew her for and the cruelty that laid with it.
Woltekamui could care less for the damage but seeing his king(woman) cry wasn't something that he'd like to see...ever!
He released a roar that that could put a certain sai*** to shame as his body became clad in lightning before charging towards one of the sources of the building power and corruption like a speeding rocket!
while Cu was angry for a different reason, he was familiar with the repercussions for doing such a sacrifice and what it entails since Geoff lost a friend to such a method and they attempted to sacrifice him!!
That is why he was furious! it was something that he never liked doing to the living as even the people that he disliked were given a chance through 'FATE'.
so whenever he did a sacrifice purposely he would make sure the person he was doing it to was dead.
His human body expanded as a pair of wings formed on his back with a tail the greyish scales covered his body before he released a deafening roar!
He transformed into Bahamut again.
He looked for the strongest culprits using the mindeye to find them and sure enough, there was a group that was growing in power yet not shrouded in corruption so a certain order came to mind...Avalon!
So like the man before him, he too sped off like a rocket!
As he drew closer the group of eleven people he was approaching began to glow in something similar to divine light!
what was disturbing about this sight was the group that was covered in that light became archfiends 9 of them tackled one another until there was three each before fusing together creating three people that became covered in fur as a large lion-lion like head formed over the said four's bodies before a large axe that was in the form of a goat head grew from the left arm and from the right arm was a coiled snake that that formed like a shield.
the 3 were fully decked in armor before they moved in front of the others as they too had some drastic transformations!
as two of the people behind the three joined together then grew in size as their legs split into many, the person's back lengthened before a large face formed of a presumingly handsome man, and that the transforming duo had left of their torso shed off all of their old skin and flesh before new flesh formed followed by new skin exposing an unnatural beauty that could've mesmerize any male if it weren't for the hideous connection that held her and the handsome face together!
The only person that didn't combine with the others expanding in size as the said person's transformation was appalling metal spikes grew from under the skin ripping it apart as it was a painful process as this archfiend's screams rung affecting Cu as the voice was a woman's and it was a very familiar voice!
sadly he wasn't given enough time to figure out who or his objective would've changed as a large wolf knight with a spear that looked as if it was stabbed through the chest stood tall looking towards him with that sickening glow of the gods.
the damned gods of this world had a hand in this!!
So Cu fired off his fire breath before conjuring hundreds of blood arrows of the bloody mists that were made by the people these sorcerers had killed then fired them as well as a welcoming present to these bastards!
The three archfiends that were transformed first raised their shields fully intending on taking all of the damage as they assumed a V formation as they stood together before the blast of heat hit them.
the pained screeching of the snake shield was like rubbing metal on a chalkboard as it was hit by the one thing it hated more than anything... fire!
it meant that these monsters barely though for themselves and just reacted without knowing the consequences but they managed to persist through before the hundreds of arrows rained upon them.
Like loyal knights protecting their king.
two of the 'knights' collapsed as the damage that was done was terrifying and the last one could barely move as it was heaving and tried to prepare its axe that was partially broken.
just as Cu was about to finish it off, the wolf knight pulled out the spear that was in its chest then hurled its body at him with incredible haste stabbing forth with its weapon in one hand!
Cu managed to block the attack with his wings that covered his chest since his magic was more than his attacker and it was covering his wings to provide him with more defense.
But thanks to the attack bearing the full weight of the wolf knight the duo crashed into the ground before their fight continued.
the wolf knight attacked wildly and made Cu retreat as his enemy did a full swing creating a blast of wind that showed just how much power there was behind a single swing.
the fight was troublesome due to the fact that this wolf knight had no form, no more like it had no knowledge on how to use the damned thing as it was swinging it about erratically like a bat.
And since it was using it in such a manner Cu conjured two curved swords that worked best against such ways.
His enemy swung downward as if trying to crush him completely but he raised one of his swords at an angle to deflect the force to the side as the attack crushed the ground under him and Cu used the other sword to cut into the hamstring yet, strangely enough, his weapon failed to do so!
A familiar voice that attempted to recruit him before.
"₩Ɇ ₣ł₦₳ⱠⱠɎ ₣ØɄ₦Đ ɎØɄ ₥ØⱤ₮₳Ⱡ!ᠻ----------------------!"
while the first part was understandable, the last part, however, was inaudible as it also made a chill run down his spine before the wolf knight began to grow in power and glowed forebodingly as its freehand grabbed Cu by the face before applying power into its grip!
