Chapter 11: Garp's Discpile
Shock!! Astonishment!!
After a while, one of the spectating marines mumbled: "I am not dreaming right... Did the recruit just defeated Glove?"
"Thi...This can't be! How is a new marine recruit stronger than us, elite soldiers?"
It had to be said, the elite marines are veteran soldiers who polished their skills and abilities by facing many vicious pirates in Grand Line and New World.
If the new Marine recruits are able to survive for 10 mins then it was already considered extremely good!
But the recruit right in front of their eyes had somehow managed to defeat the elite soldier and that too from his appearance, he didn't use his full strength.
At the platform where the High-rank marines are seated,
"Bwahahaha, this kid is not bad. Some days back, he is not this strong, he should have surpassed his physical limits multiple times." Garp said looking at Rey and Z who was seated beside him also nodded his head.
"He will become a splendid marine in the future. Z sensei, what do you think?" Aokiji commented.
"He is good, but he needs to face life and death struggle to unlock his true potential. Tomorrow, I will personally teach him the Marine's Rokushiki" Z said.
"No, send him to me, I will teach that brat by myself", Garp said.
It's unusual to see Garp san to be interested in a young man" Aokiji stated.
"I am old, I also need someone as my disciple", Garp said, munching his rice crackers.
"I will also train the girl who's always with that boy", Tsuru spoke.

The combat continued for the whole day, and at the end of it, only 300 some become qualified for the next part of the Marine recruit training while others were sent back to their homeland.
Like Rey, some of the recruits even defeated the elite soldiers and become qualified for the reward promised by Z. Especially, recruits like Smoker, Hina, Drake, etc.
Even though Mia, wasn't able to defeat the elite soldier, she persisted for a total of 10 minutes and passed for the next round.
Next day morning,
The 300 some recruits who passed the combat assessment were standing at the training ground waiting for Z to come and lecture them about further training.
Soon, Z came and began to speak out the names of recruits who defeated the elite soldiers. "As promised, you guys will get a reward of practicing Rokushiki, a special martial skill of Marines."
Rey was also excited since Rokushike is an ultimate skill that even cipher pol practiced. It will increase his strength to another level and will be useful to him until he practices haki.
"Rey, you will be reporting to Vice-Admiral Garp and he will teach you all about Rokushike. Who's Mia? You will be reporting to Vice-Admiral Tsuru."
Rey and Mia looked at each other wondering why they are the only ones who want to report to others, but they soon made their way towards the respective instructor.
Within a few minutes, Rey arrived before the Garp office and knocked on the door. A voice came from the inside, "Come in"
When he entered the room, he saw Garp who is a tall, tanned, broad-chested, muscular old man but unlike in original work, there were some black hairs on his head.
He has a beard and a scar over his left eye. He was decked in a Marine coat with special shoulder-pads.
"Brat, why did you join the marine?" Garp asked after observing from top to bottom.
"I want to live in a peaceful world and don't want other children to lose their family like myself", Rey spoke.
Garp nodded his head and said, "I read everything about you from how you joined the Marines as a chore boy at a young age to till now."'
"From now on, I will be your personal instructor and trainer," Garp said.
"Can you teach me, haki?" Rey asked.
Garp squinted and replied, "Bwahahaha, you are just a little hatchling and yet you want to learn haki. Where did you hear about haki?"
"I read it in books"
"It's too early for you. When you are ready, I will teach you myself. Now, you can learn about the Rokushiki which is not any less weak than learning haki." Garp spoke.
"Take a good rest; Tomorrow, we are leaving the marine headquarters."
"Where are we going?"
"It's a secret,"

Next day,
Rey packed some of his important things and informed Mia that he is leaving the headquarters with Vice Admiral Garp.
Soon, he departed from marine headquarters with Garp in the standard marine ship. Even at this time, Garp didn't tell him about where they are going.
When they are traveling, Garp taught him about the 6 styles of Marine's Rokushiki and in two days Rey learned about the fundamental knowledge of the technique with the help of Garp's fist of love.
"Brat, if you want to improve yourself, you can only understand and comprehend the technique by yourself."
Next day, Rey saw a large Island which is densely covered by large trees, plants and mountains. Rey had a bad feeling about this island.
Within 3Km before the Island, the marine ship stopped. Only then he noticed, there's no air current and the sea is calm without any ripples or waves.
"Is this calm belt?" Rey wondered.
"Yes, this island is situated 10km inside the calm belt and only us marines can travel the calm belt with our ships."
"Moreover, no one knows about this Island apart from me; I accidentally discovered it during my prime when I was chasing a pirate. This island was completely hidden from the outside world since normal compasses or log pose can detect it."
Rey immediately understood this Island is similar to Rusukaina which is in the Calm Belt northwest of Amazon Lily where Luffy trained during the Timeskip.
"It is an island from the Prehistoric Era where not many humans set foot in and it has many ancient creatures ranging from Type E to Type C creatures. The strongest creature on the Island has the strength equal to that of pirates with a bounty of 100 Million berries."
"Oh? So, why are we here?" Rey asked.
Garp grinned.
'Don't tell me?' Rey thought.
Before he could consider the possibility, Garp picked him like a chicken and said, "Try to stay alive, brat, I will come and pick you up in one year after finishing my work."
Using his superhuman physical strength, he threw Rey like a baseball aiming at the Island; Rey flew at high speed towards the Island like a fired cannonball.
"You ruthless Old Man!" Rey's voice came from the distance. The marine soldiers in the ship are dumbfounded by the sudden change in the situation and one of the soldiers spoke, "Garp-san, Is it okay?"
"Bwahahaha, that kid is formidable, he will survive. Let's go, we will come and pick him up later." Garp waved his wand and leisurely replied.
