Chapter 1: Depression Hurts: Arrival of Salvation
My name is Lucifer Morgenstern age 28 and this is my story. For many years I've battled with an overpowering amount of depression, PTSD and a slew of other things. One of the key reasons is due to my unfortunate name and upbringing. My dad's a Luciferian, and my mom a Satanist. Not the same btw contrary to popular belief. Anyway, I grew up in a sinister and dark home filled with debauchery and misery. When I was 18 I managed to escape from home, but I could never escape from my own name. 10 years later and I have a gun in my mouth and about to pull the trigger. I have no friends or loved ones who'll miss me so it's time to end my misery. As I pulled the trigger, I heard a ding sound inside my head and a barrier of some kind appeared deflecting the bullet from my face. With tears of sorrow and rage flowing down my face, I collapsed on the spot. As I lost consciousness, I heard a beautiful woman's voice speak.
[Initializing installation of Sorrow Severing System to Host Lucifer Morgenstern. 5%... 30%... 70%... Ding! Installation complete. Now placing Lucifer Morgenstern in light coma for readjustment sequencing. Time duration 3 days.]
-3 days later-
With a heavy gasp, I bolted upright from my floor onto my feet swaying slightly. Drenched in a disgusting smelling sweat and covered in some odd looking black substance, I made my way quickly to my bathroom and stood under the shower head. As I was just beginning to calm down, I heard the voice of a woman in my head for the second time.
[Sequencing complete. Welcome Lucifer Morgenstern to The Sorrow Severing System. Please designate your desired name now.]
No way! A system like in those light novels I read, and I can choose a new name? Ok let's see... A name... I've got it! "System I choose the name Michael Silverman. Please take care of me!" After my declaration I heard a ding and the system acknowledged me.
[Henceforth the Host is now called Michael Silverman. Warping host to parallel Earth for host's new life. Transmigration or Rebirth?]
"Transmigration!" I said with a firm voice and a heart filled with new hope for the future. The system spoke once more.

And with those parting words, I now find myself laying in an unfamiliar bed and staring at an unfamiliar ceiling. So epic! With a leap I land on my feet off of my bed and head to the bathroom. Time for a self evaluation.
Staring at me is a shockingly handsome face. Gold pupils, and gold and red streaked hair that looks like fire, copper skin tone and standing at over 6 feet tall with aesthetic musculature. I'm a total alpha male by my old world's standards, idol worthy. But this could be the norm here for all that I know. Right enough reflection I don't want to develop narcissism. Anyway back to my room, I think I saw an impossibility.
Nope. It's really there. A high school diploma. It seems school won't be necessary during my teen years. So for now, here's to a bright future with endless possibilities!
