Chapter 9: Ghost walk!
I was happily sleeping in my bed, went I felt movement coming from outside.
"Who is it?"
Nobody answered me, I grabbed Hope, who was sleeping soundly and put her on my back.
"Ana, wake up!" I said in a low voice.
"Wha-what is it?"
"Somebody is here!"
"What!?"
"Shh! Be quiet, lets hide"
I grabbed Ana and hide under the bed.
When we got under the bed, someone entered the room, a man in a black cloak entered the room.
I made a gesture to Ana, with my finger telling her that we should stay quiet.
The man inspected the room.
We watched the man looking in out stuff and even looking through the window.
He looked once more into the empty room and walked to the door.
"Auu~?"
Shit! Hope woke up!
I quickly cover Hope's mouth, however, it was too late…
"[Fire Ball]"
"Evade!" Shouted Ana.
*PUM*
The bed was quickly destroyed by the flames, we managed to evade it.
"Thought the window!" I shouted.
Ana grabbed me and Hope and jumped through the window.
*Crash!*
We landed on the ground and Ana run as fast as she could while grabbing me and Hope.
The man didn't give up, he followed up closely from behind while throwing fire balls.
"I will distract her, go and escape with Hope!" I said to Ana.
"I will not leave you behind!" Shouted Ana.
"Trust in me!" I shouted.
Ana looked at me back and, after some time, she nodded.
"Don't you dare die" She said.
I jumped out and stood in the way of the man.
"OUT OF THE WAY, BRAT!" Yelled the man.
My [Tornado] is not an offensive attack, it will only make him feel dizzy for some time, if I use my combo, I will be out of mana and that's game over. Plus, I don't have to defeat him, I only have to stall time for Ana to run.
So, I have the perfect ability for this occasion.
Felt it, the flow of mana…
I take heavy breaths while I canalize the mana inside me…
"What!? A magician!?" Shouted man.
"QUAS, QUAS, WEX"
"[Invoke]"
The flow of mana is converging in my feet.
"Shit!" Shouted the man.
The stopped in front of me and began chanting a spell.
"Too slow" I said.
"[GHOST WALK]!"
In that instant, my body made a spin in the air and everything become black and white.
"What the-!? Where is he?" Shouted the man.
Funny, because I haven't moved since I made my spell.
"I don't have time for this!" Said the man.
He tried to walk once again, however, he suddenly stopped.
"Wh… what is going on!?" Said the man.
Hehe, this is the ability of [Ghost Walk], SLOWDOWN!
"I can feel mana flowing, this is that brat's doing! What the hell is this spell!? Is almost like the tier-two spell [Ice land]!" Said the man.
I didn't know that, thanks for letting me now.
I began to slowly walk behind the man, I mean, really slow, not because I want to, but because I also slow down when I am invisible.
"Fuck! I need to run!" Said the man.
However, it was a futile effort, as long as I am near him, he won't be able to move like he usually do.
However, there is something that worries me.

{Ana's POV}
"Shit, I shouldn't have left after all, I am too worry, what if something happens to him!?" I though.
I have run quite a lot and hide inside a dark alley.

Hope have been crying for some time because Noah isn't here.
"Be quiet, your brother is currently slowly the bad guy, don't worry, he will come back sooner or later" I said with a soft voice.
"You…bash… making… brother…leashse me!" Said Noah while pointing her small finger at me.
"I- I didn't wanted to-"
"I hatesh…you… I wantsh… brother!" Said the little Hope.
I was about to said something else went I felt something strange on the little girl face.
"Her eyes are glowing!" I though.
However, that wasn't all… this feeling!
"It's the flow of mana!" I said.
No, its not possible, how this small girl can manipulate the flow of mana!
"No, this is impossible!" I though.
"Brother… give bach… brother!" Shouted the little girl.
"Ana, are you there!?" I heard a small sound coming from the alley.
I suddenly felt happy and relieve.
"Noa-"
"Brothersh!"
Suddenly, the small little girl run towards the entrance of the alley.
"Little girl, are you okay?" Said Noah while hugging the little girl.
"Auu~"
Strange… why do I suddenly felt sad and upset at the same time.
"Ana, are you okay?" Said Noah.
"Ye- yeah, I am okay" I said.
"I am glad" Said Noah with a cute smile.
*Thump* *Thump*
"Eh?"
Was that… no, no, I am just imagining things.

"Let's hide here for now, the man won't be able to find us any time soon" I said.
"Did he hurt you in anyway?" Said Ana.
"Nope, I didn't even fight him" I said.
"How come?"
"Let's just say that I have my own tricks" I said.
"Puh… cheeky brat"
"Hehe"
"Are we going to sleep in this alley? How come since I met you, I have sleep in more alleys than beds?" Said Ana.
"I have slept in alleys all my life, don't sweat it too much" I said.
"Auu~" Said Hope while hugging me.
"It's a little cold though" Said Ana.
I also felt a little cold.
I stand up and sit between Ana's legs.
"Wha-what are you doing!?" Said Ana.
"I am cold, as well as Hope, lets warn each other" I said while putting my head on Ana's stomach.
"…" Ana didn't say anything and she just hug me from behind.
"Uuuuu" Hope made a strange sound while we are like this.
Strange, she never did this kind of sound before.
"Can I ask you something, Noah?" Said suddenly Ana.
"What is it?"
"Have you ever heard you sister said something?" Asked Ana.
"What kind of question is that, of course I have, you also have heard her right?"
"That's not what I mean, I mean an actual word, for example, brother or something of the like" Said Ana.

Now that I think about it, yeah, I have never heard Hope said anything besides 'Auuu', well, I understand her perfectly well even if she doesn't talk so its not a problem for me, however…

She hugged me harder and didn't say anything else.

The next day, we returned to the inn, of course we also checked if there was something out of the place or if the man was still there, after making sure that he wasn't we could finally rest.
"I don't think that he will attack in the day, so we should be safe, my teacher should be coming today, so, I am going to meet him, you can wait here, I will bring him here" Said Ana.
"Okay, I will be waiting with Hope" I said.
"…" Ana looked at Hope with a strange before going outside.
What was that about?
"Little girl, did you make something to her?" I ask hope.
"Auu!"
"I see… well, let's rest a little, shall we? You should be tired" I said.
"Au!"
"I will sleep on Ana's bed, you sleep in ours, it should more comfortable with a big bed for you right?" I said to Hope.
"Auu!"
"Eh?"
"But it will be more espaci-"
"Auu!"
"Okay, okay, I got it, let's sleep together"
This little girl is quite stubborn, isn't she?
Hope hug me and she felt sleep quietly.
I am quite tired so I also close my eyes and fell asleep quietly.
