Chapter 1: Chapter 1- The Dream
In a deep night, I am riding with my horse without any companions. I was lost in the woods. I looked everywhere but I can't recognize anything familiar. I saw a trail of flowers with the help of my lamp. I followed it, I am surprised of what I saw. And I think what I've seen is also surprised. I saw a beautiful maiden with a crown. Is she a princess? I
need to know.
"What's your name?", I softly asked. She did not answer. She gave me a look full of angriness. Unreasonably, my horse ran away but I don't care. I need to know the maiden and ask to help me get out of here. I tried to speak again but she casted a spell on me. She casted spells and it hit me. I felt pain and I thought my body was paralyzed. She approached me with a nasty smile engraved on her face. She waved her hand once again. I floated to the air as if someone was lifting me up. I can't move, I can't speak, I can't fight. I just closed my eyes accepting my death. A few minutes later I am still. I didn't felt anything. I didn't felt any pain. I opened my eyes and looked at my surrounding. I saw myself lying on a luxurious bed. Surrounded with a beautiful wall. I am in a beautiful room with beautiful things. I stood up and looked at my window. I saw a beautiful garden outside unlike what I saw a few minutes ago. It was a dream! What a dream! My door opened and turned to look.
" Your Highness, I am sorry for entering without knocking but the King wants to see you. He also called for Prince Stephen and Princess Aliah. He said it is urgent.", a worker at the castle told me. She went out of the room after sending me that message. I also went to the Great Hall where father is. I saw my elder brother Stephen and my younger sister Aliah already there. The King, sitting in a golden throne looking ill.
"I'm sorry to bother the three of you. Children, I am getting old and ill, I want to have a glimpse, atleast, of each of your child before I dissapear." He said as he looked at the three of us. No one spoke and an awkward silence happened. Suddenly, Princess Aliah spoke, "But father, what if we don't want to? I can't just find and marry another prince."
"Are you disobeying your father? Maybe that will be my last wish. I will be very sad if I die not even touching your children. That's why I am telling it now. I am not saying each of you to marry now. Who knows when will I die?", replied father.
" Why are you rushing everything father?", asked Stephen. "You can just be positive and enjoy. "
How can I enjoy? I will enjoy if I had an ordinary life. Wandering around with my friends, but what can I do? I am born to be a king."
We laughed and King too. But sadness crossed on his face again. "Atleast try to find a way to grant my wish." He felt pain and went to his room to rest.
"Father is getting old indeed. Try to do what he want", I said to the two.
" Prince Sarish, yes it's true, but it's impossible for me to get a prince now after what I've done", Princess Aliah said.
"I guess. Telling their weaknesses and laughing at their failure of the challenges you gave them.", Prince Stephen joined the conversation.
We all laughed. We had our breakfast and I went back to my room. I laid on my bed, suddenly, I remembered my dream.
" What a strange dream"...
