CHAPTER 9
Sunday passed. Same routine.
Normal na araw lang. But there's something different. It was when I received a call from Luigi at six in the morning and at five in eve.
He asked me to join with him with lunch today.
It's already Monday,stressing week... Welcome back!
Napalingon ako sa gilid nang kama ko. Call from the guy!
"Yes?"I asked.
"Sa AH ka ba nag-aaral?"he asked me. Napataas ang kaliwa kong kilay. "I mean... Alphabet High?"
"Bakit?"I asked with mocking tone.
"A-amh... Just asking,hehe"I know this time he is scratching his nape.
"Stop scratching your nape..."I heard him cough. Tumaas yata lalo ang kilay ko sa reaksyon nya.
"Watafak? How did you know that?"he asked me with an amuse voice. What? Seriously?
"Seriously? You're asking me how?"I asked with chuckle. "Of course,I have this wide ima--"
"Wild... Wild imagination,alam kong kagabi mo pa ako pinag-na-nasaan..."I heard him laugh.
So I laugh sarcastically. "This guy in the other line is... Takas sa mental"mabilis kong pinatay ang phone ko at saka natawa sa sarili kong kilos.
Umalis ako nang maaga sa apartment,so I just walk at the wall side of Alphabet Street.
Exactly seven,I reached our school. Kumunot lang ang noo ko dahil sa bulong bulongan sa hallway nang dumaan ako.
Okay? What is happening?
I forced myself not to raise my brow. But it literally arched when I reached the hallway where the Gazzete office was located.
Bakit parang walang natirang diyaryo?
"Here..."lumingon ako sa pinto. There, our dear EIC was. Having me a copy. "This is just the only minor news that really make our campus noisy"
Umiling iling pa ito saka bumuntong hininga.
"There are two transferees here... By now,sila ang laman nang balita,so better done your draft. For us to throw their so-called ka-gwapohan news. Tsk!"umiling ulit sya saka ako iniwan nang nakatulala.
Ano daw? So-called ka-gwapohan news? Bakit parang gusto ko syang tawanan bigla?
Instead of laughing, dumiretso ako sa classroom namin. As usual--- Unusual? Unusual atmosphere ang bumungad sa akin.
But why do I care? Gaya nga nang sabi ni Zach the EIC... Baka ang topic nila ay ang ka-gwapohan news.
Tsk! Pag-dating sa gwapo,tuwang tuwa.
Pumasok na ang first period class namin. Then after that were two guys. Hindi ko lang talaga tiningnan,but I know they are looking at me.
"Ms.Avery is it okay to have the seat beside you,by this two hand--"
"Sir,it's okay... Just please don't mention the word handsome"I cut him while rolling my eyes.
Tumango lang ito.
Hindi ko pinansinang dalawang bagong salta sa klase namin. Mag-pa-pansin man sila o hindi. Why do I care?
At lunch,hindi ko parin kilala yung dalawang transferee. But why do I care? For the nth time.
"Hey! Nabalitaan mo na ba?"my brow arched. Is it about that ka-gwapohan news again?
"Which one?"I asked Oliver and Hannah.
"So,wala kang balita? Part ka pa naman nang Alphabet High Gazzete tapos hindi mo alam ang topic of the day? Oh my golly fish!"bakit parang ang arte na nitong si Hannah?
We're at the canteen. Naka-pila, actually nangangamoy na dito eh. Nangangamoy malalandi. Susmaryosep! Halo-halo na ang amoy nang pabango. It sucks!
Yung labi yata nila,pina-dugo na nila sa sobrang pula. Parang grabe kung gumamit nang liptint ang mga taong ito? Liptint lang yan pero at the same time blush on. Tsk!
Pag-ka-alis at pag-ka-alis ko sa pila ay may malaking---may naka-bangga ako. Everyone reacted already. And bashing me. WTF was their problem?
"Hey,you okay?"I heard a familiar voice of a man. And if I'm not wrong...
I raised my head with my brows knitted.
"Correct me if I'm wrong, Isaiah Zamora... Right?"tanong ko dito. Napa-tagilid pa ako nang ulo. Kamuka nya pala si Zach? "Kaano ano mo ba talaga ang EIC nang Gazzete?"taka ko nang tanong
"Let's say--"
"He is my twin,babe!"
My brows almost met. The crowd reacted. WTF?! Ano daw? Babe?!
I almost collapse on my position when Zach appear at the back of Isaiah.
Kailan naging kami?!
"ARI!"
All of our heads turn to the newest guy who entered the canteen's entrance.
Napalingon ako sa gilid at napapikit. Sabay bulong. "Susmaryosep, ka-gwapohan news alert!"
"Sabi ko sayo sabay tayo mag-lunch diba?"umakbay pa ito sa akin na lalong nag-pa-ingay sa mga tao sa canteen.
I removed his arms on my shoulders at tinaliman sya nang tingin.
"Bakit hindi mo sinabi na lilipat ka pala dito? At bakit umaakbay ka pa? Close tayo ha?"inis ko ditong sabi.
He put his hands in the air. As if surrendering in police. Tsk! "Easy! Easy, Ari..."
"And stop calling me Ari inside this school"I rolled my eyes on them at saka bumaling kay Zach.
"Why did you call me babe?"I asked with a mocking voice. He just shrugged his shoulders and look away. "Look,I don't know what to react okay? Don't worry Zach,I'll pass you the draft the next day after tomorrow"
Mag-re-react sana sya nang bumaling ako kay Isaiah.
"If you want to be part of Gazzete. Asked your brother. And by the way,I'm open to train you"I just smiled at him before I dragged Luigi out there.
Nang wala na akong makitang estudyante ay umupo ako sa gitna nang field.
"Malawak pala dito?"he asked me. I just nod at tinanaw ang matataas na building nang school. "You know what?"
I look at him when he paused. "What?"
"Before I don't believe that there's nothing impossible as long as you want it. But you change it..."he chuckled. "You told me last time,that you and your dad's heart maybe can't meet it's paths again...right?"
Napalingon ako sa kanya bago tumango.
"It's more impossible to think,that my parents lives go back. There's a possibility of your dad's heart and your heart meet it's paths again. But my parents lives can't be back. They can't go back to life anymore..."he stopped and then leaned on me.
"When I was four years old,an accident happen. And it taught me a lot about being independent and making myself high even they are gone..."
