Chapter 4: 4: Upgrading Myself
I woke up starving and in need of the toilet. I rushed to the edge of the swiftly flowing stream and did my business. I smiled at the fact that my waste was literally erased from existence. The stream was very handy for waste disposal!
I then went to the fruit trees and plucked some grapefruit for my breakfast. Then I plucked some apples and oranges and ate those too. I grinned, realizing that having an invincible body meant a lot more eating. I like eating!
I then thought about what I wanted to upgrade next. I could also create my own world, but I wasn't ready for that yet. I wanted a complete set of deity level powers before I felt comfortable becoming essentially a god of a world.
There were also other, more dangerous thoughts. Creating my own slaves to serve each and every of my whims sounded so tempting, but it wouldn't lead anywhere constructive. In addition, I had no idea if others could gain access to this pocket of reality, and if I was caught doing evil, I doubted I could survive against a more experienced deity. That is what I told myself anyways.
However, this started me thinking. Was there an original Creator? There must have been, unless rifts in time could also be created and He created Himself. I also wondered if the reason why it was so easy for me to create was His help.
I shook myself. So I should definitely continue upgrading myself. Where should I start? My mind should probably be upgraded with clarity and speed of thought, as well as psychic powers to sense what couldn't be sensed physically. Psychic defenses were also definitely necessary to prevent aggressive mental intrusions. I wanted a better organic memory, and a backup digital memory that would store memories as the sensations and thoughts experienced by my body. The digital memory should come with a time stamp, and probably have evaluation and comparison software so that I could mentally search for images and sensations.
I should add a spatial awareness and manipulation package. I would need it to find the space rift back home and reopen it. It would just require some pondering first as to the nature of space itself to internalize the concept I was going for.
Space is what prevents everything from being condensed together. If something didn't have space/volume, then it would have no definition or purpose. So I wanted an intuitive grasp of the shapes and forms of everything, as well as the ability to shift the form psychicly.
There was a couple of frailties I wished to remove as well. I wanted a powerful enough digestion that I could break down and absorb anything I ate, so that I wouldn't need to use the toilet again. I wanted to reduce the need for sleep to one hour a night. I felt like removing the need to sleep entirely would probably have some mental issues down the line, as everyone needs to sit down and reboot to get their heads straight once in a while.
So I began. I reached out, again touched nothing, and decisively and calmly screamed in horror and pain again, telling my very being as it dissolved what it was to become. Obviously, I passed out.
