Chapter 170: You alone

Karl was surprised at her reply, but that also made him realize that he probably had offended her.

"I'm sorry," he quickly apologized to her, "I really did not mean anything with that."

Risa actually knew that was not intentional, but she could not help but glare for some more, before she looks away. "Forget it, let me try again," she said as she positioned herself in the spot.

"So, how was Daniel just now?" Risa asked as she was calculating how to hold the stick in between her clasps. "Was he upset or angry or anything like that?"

Karl, who was paying attention at how Risa planted her feet, and then was about to check on her hold, raised up his face to look at her.

"Well, why don't you look at the scoreboard and see how he butchered me earlier?" and then he snorted, "he killed me clean, that heartless bastard!"
