Chapter 9: Love in the little things
So I know I've fallen in love,
How do I know you may ponder.
It is my heart that's told me of the one,
The one who's waited for me, and not another.
But it's not that simple.
Chats and more chats, years lap on years.
I've realised even with time I do not forget.
The little things that I feel, see and hear,
Special to me, in my heart, even if they forget.
It's the warm smile and soft dimple.
It's waiting and anticipating a future,
Knowing all hardships will be final.
All the time of waiting that's hard to measure,
He still tickles my heart and makes it settle.
He healed me when I could not.
I am thankful, I am grateful,
From the moment we met.
Truly a fate unimaginable,
But a destiny is destined to set.
I'm looking forward to our future - a lot.
You're truly perfect in my eyes,
Even if your doubts tell you otherwise.
I love everything about you, from flaws to broken pieces,
You're my imperfectly perfect future, and my life's reasons.
My heart will be with you forever and ever.
