GOTHAM PART II
Thirty minutes later, Sofia presented herself to Izak ready for the Gotham quest.
Izak waved his hand and in the middle of the room a portal opened.
"Step through, I will be right behind you"
Sofia nodded her head and stepped in to the portal.
Izak stayed back and gave his apartment a final look. This place had been his home the past three years and even someone as cold hearted as him couldn't help but feel some form of sentimentality.
Sigh.
"I over it" he said before firing his heat vision at the gas line setting his apartment and eventually the entire building on fire. Admiring his work for but a second, he then stepped through the portal.
On the other side of the portal was a penthouse located in the centre of Gotham City.
Closing the portal behind him, Izak gave the penthouse a once over and couldn't help but be impressed, everything about it said I am filthy rich…and he liked it.
He spotted Sofia on a terrace overlooking Gotham City. He walked out on to the terrace and joined her to watch as Gotham City began to bustle as the new day began.
"I didn't know you had such an amazing penthouse with the a great view of Gotham City, how could you afford it is you don't mind me asking"
"The penthouse isn't mine, it belonged to Bane. But since I am now moving, I guess it is my penthouse now."
Looking across Gotham Izak couldn't help but feel excited, he was about to take over an entire city. Even better, it was city that was under the protection of one of Earth's most feared heroes, Batman.
'I wonder, who is Batman?'
Putting that mystery aside for now, Izak turned to Sofia and said, "Follow, it is time to get to work"
Izak walked back in to the penthouse with Sofia following closely behind. They both walked in to one of the rooms in the penthouse which could only be described as an armoury. It was filled with the latest in hand guns, assault rifles, rocket launchers and explosives.
Izak picked up an assault rifle from one of the gun racks and throw it at Sofia. She reached out and caught in the air. With quickly fluid motions, she checked the assault rifle like a pro.
"Wow" she said after she was done.
She then added "How did I know how to do that?"
Izak smiled, "It actually worked"
"What did?"
"During you re-programing, I added a few things"
"Such as"
"I gave you the combat knowledge and experience of two world class fighters, in Death Stroke and Lady Shiva. You now an expert in gun play and martial arts.
I also took the pleasure of strengthen your muscles on an atomic level make you as strong a mortal can be."
Sofia's eyes widen in surprise as she looked at Izak.
"With all that I have given you, you should be able to take control of the Falcone crime syndicate with easy. "
"I will not fail you" Sofia said with determination in her voice.
Sofia then place the rifle down and replaced it with semi-automatic duo pistols along with a couple of mags. Now equipped for her mission, she picked from a self of car keys one for a Mercedes Benz and left.
When Sofia left, Izak was left hoping she succeeds because if she did, then he would know that his human re-programming with telepathy and matter manipulation is a success. This meant he would be able to turn anybody in to a loyal super solider.
'Now to wait'
…
When Sofia left the penthouse, she drove the Mercedes Benz, pushing it to the limit as she sped through the Gotham streets. A few minutes later, she reached the Falcone mansion found right outside the city.
As she approached the mansion, she noticed signs of destruction all over the property, the affect effects of what looked like a small war .
'Damn, looks like Bane didn't hold back'
Sofia stopped the car because now in front of her was what looked like the entire deployment of Gotham fittest, the GCPD (Gotham City Police Department).
"Sorry ma'am, you I can't let you through" a police officer said.
"What happened here?" Sofia asked.
The police officer opened his mouth and was about to tell her when an authoritative voice suddenly spoke saying said, "Who would like to know?"
Both Sofia and the police officer turned to source of the voice, "Commissioner Gordon" the police officer said as he stood at attention.
Gordon looked at the officer and said, "Return to your post rookie"
"Yes, Sir" the officer replied before walking away leaving the Commissioner with Sofia.
Gordon looked at Sofia and he realised who she was, "Sofia Falcone. I thought you were in Florida"
"I came to visit my father but I found a war zone instead so I ask you again, what happened here?"
Gordon sighed before saying, "last night an unknown group of masked gun men breached the compound in attempts to kill your father. There was a huge gun fight and many lives were lost. In fact if it wasn't for Batman stepping in, your father would have been amongst the lives lost"
"My father lives" Sofia suddenly spoke up.
Gordon nodded his head, "he was here a few hours ago but left. He headed back in to the city"
Hearing that, Sofia throw the air in reverse and performed a draft turning back towards the front gate driving off.
Gordon just shook his head and then went back to his investigation.
Sofia was back speeding in the city cutting through the streets until she reached a triple story Victorian styled town house. This was the safe house designated for the family.
Sofia got out the car and climbed up the step to the front door.
DING DONG… she rang the bell.
The door opened and standing in the doorway was a bold man with two pistols in his hands. This man was the deadliest employ in the Falcone crime syndicate, his name Victor Zsasz (AN: As seen on Gotham TV series)
"Miss Falcone" he said in surprise.
"Victor…" she replied, before walking through the door way passed him.
She could feel combat knowledge and experience of Death Stroke and Lady Shiva kicking in as she quickly analysed her environment.
'Fifteen guards on the ground floor with Zsasz being the biggest problem'
"…where is my father? "She asked.
"In his office"
The office was found on the first floor, so she climbed the stairs with Zsasz closely behind her.
The first floor had an extra twelve guards and these ones were dressed in combat gear and heavily armed, 'these aren't guards, they mercenaries'
"Who are they?" she asked Zsasz
"Mercenaries your father hired. We are kinda short on personally right now"
The pair reached the office. Sofia opened the door and in.
"Hello father"
Carmine Falcone smiled when his saw his daughter. He got up from his chair and embraced her.
"Darling, what are you doing here?" he asked.
"The mansion in Florida was hit last night. I am the only one that survived"
Carmine face went from happiness to rage in a split second.
"Did they hurt you?" he asked.
"No I am fine"
Carmine sighed in relief, "Good"
"So what next father, are we going to retaliate?" Sofia asked.
Carmine smiled nervously, "No."
"WHAT" Sofia said out loud.
Carmine turned to Zsasz who was still in the room, "I need to have a private conversation with my daughter"
Zsasz nodded before stepping out leaving father and daughter by themselves.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE ARE'NT GOING TO RETALIATE?"
Carmine sighed before saying, "I am an old man. I don't have the energy to fight a war with Penguin and his mysterious backer"
"Then let me take over from you and lead the family" Sofia said.
Carmine shook his head, "I will not have my daughter living the life of a gangster"
"But it's my birth right"
"I said NO" he replied firmly.
"I don't need your permission"
Carmine stood up tall and looked down on his daughter, "As your father I-"before he could finish whatever he was saying, Sofia moved and struck his chest instantly stopping his heart. This was a technique she knew as a result of Lady Shiva.
Sofia looked down at her dead father and thought to herself, 'it is time for change in Gotham and only Izak can bring it'
"It's time to act"
Sofia then positioned herself next to her father's body and turned on the water works.
"FATHER…SOMEBODY HELP" she scream out loud getting the attention of everybody outside.
...
It was two days passed before Izak received a call from Sofia saying, "Mission accomplished, I am now in full control of the Falcone syndicate"
"Well done." He said before hanging up the phone.
