Chapter 8: Chapter 7
My heart was racing a mile a minute as I stood next to Juduan outside the castle. It was late in the afternoon as the sun slowly descended its way down as dinner starts to surface at the head of peoples mind. The castle stood proudly before me against the darken blue sky. It was beautiful, almost perfect, every stone was even and square. Proud turrets give off a deceptive delusion of the castle height, but even without them it stood massive and proud. The sight was visibly intimidating as I let out a shaky breath. Juduan reach up to cup his right hand along my lower back. His simple touch calm my nerves instantly.
"Come on, my Queen, I'm sure my parents has earn word of my early return," Juduan voice holding out his right arm.
I look to Cressida who gave me a small nod of encouragement before slipping my arm in his. He leans me up the small stair case to the entrance of the castle. Trent and Cressida follow a few steps behind us. Ordan, Silver, and Grey follow a few steps behind them. Juduan walks with purpose his eyes lock straight ahead while I look at any and everything. Guards stood on either side of the entrance bowing lowly at the sight of the King. Juduan gave both men a nod of greetings before we step through the doors of the kingdom.
"Holy, shit," I mumble to myself as my eyes marveled at the grand entry way.
A long corridor leads to many directions lit by just a single chandelier. The floor was made of entirely of marble and pictures and mirrors hung all over the walls. It was beautiful and this was just a small part of the castle I was soon to call home.
"King Juduan, you're requested to join your parents for dinner upon your arrival," Trent informs Juduan as we continue down the corridor.
"Thank you, Trent," Juduan pause monetarily to turn and face Trent, "I would like for the Luna's suite to be clean out before we finish with dinner."
Trent nod with wide eyes at the soft but firm tone of my mate, "It'll be done my King," he promise before rushing off down the hall.
There was a sudden sickness that came over me. Juduan attention quickly turned to me but before he can question his worry the sound of heels filled the corridor. My eyes flew over to a tall gorgeous woman strutting her way around the corner of the hallway Trent rush down a few minutes ago. My eyes scan the confidant blond female hourglass figure that sported a long green glamorous dress. Her slanted beady eyes stare at my mate with excitement but also confusion. This was the female who was in training for the Queen position and my mate.
"Juduan, I'm so glad you've returned from your trip to the Broken Forest Pack," she gush rushing into the arms of my mate.
The sudden impact cause him to release my arm so he can catch himself from falling backwards. I can once again feel the burning heat of jealousy and anger burn within me. Telling you that I felt pissed at this female for touching my mate was an understatement.
I was ready to kill.
"But, baby, why is Trent taking all my stuff out my corridor," the female spoke with great concern.
Cressida move to flank my side as my nose flared in anger at the name, baby. I grip Juduan's shoulder pulling him away from the female with a single tug. The female yelp in shock turning to stand face to face with me. We stood just about the same height and with just a look I can tell she knew who I was immediately.
"Shit, the Queens eyes are completely red," Sliver points out to no one in particular.
"Don't touch what's mind," I simply stated with a low and calm voice.
The female shift slightly in discomfort disguising it by crossing her arms before me, "Excuse me. But who are you," she claps back knowing damn well who I am.
"I'm Juduan true mate, she wolf."
The female growls lowly at my words before turning her eyes to Juduan behind me, "This can't be your mate, baby, she reeks of vampire."
Cressida was in front of me in a flash blocking me from touching the disrespectful female. Grey step forward and lead her a few safe distance away.
"Asena, you need to control your anger," Cressida advise looking to me with a calm demeanor.
"Come here," Juduan says pulling me to his side which always seems to calm me down.
"Why does she keep calling you, baby," I question sending a glare towards the female, "You're mind."
"I'm sorry, Asena," Juduan says softly into my ear.
Two set of footsteps sound behind us. We all turn to gaze upon the most regal people I have ever seen. There eyes scan the scene before them until their gaze lay solidly on me. These two were clearly the current Queen and King. I notice the distasteful look bestowed upon the Queens face as her eyes scan me from head to toe.
"Son, what's this commotion about," Juduan's father asks with raise brows, "I thought we requested you for dinner."
"I apologize for the lag father," Juduan spoke with such confidence and respect, "We were just on our way to join you."
"Who's this...female you have on your arm," the Queen question vaguely.
Juduan hand slip from around my waist to snake down and intertwine his fingers with mind. I couldn't help the smile that filled my face a the small but intimate gesture.
"This is, Asena, my mate," Juduan told his parents.
There was a small silence that followed, "Oh...we'll," the Queen paused once again.
I can almost taste the judgement coming from Juduan's mother. It was clear she had a problem with me being his mate. I would like to believe she would actually be happy about her son finding his true mate before the ceremony. But she only look to me with great uncertainty and disrespect. My stomach twisted at the thought of his mother being apposed of me becoming Queen.
"Let's take this to the dinning table," the King suggested shortly.
Juduan nod simply as his parents lock arms and make there way back down the hall.
"Shit, Juduan," Cressida voice clearly upset, "what kind of introduction was that."
We both turn to look at her with blank surprise stares, but she just release a sigh before walking passed us to the direction his parents gone. The female follow shortly after but not without sending me a sharp glare.
"Thanks for joining me on the trip, you're dismiss," Juduan spoke to Silver and Grey.
"Of course, King Juduan," they bowed before turning back to exit the castle doors.
"I apologize for my parents, they stop believing that I would truly find my mate a long time ago," Juduan sighs before turning to face me.
"It wasn't just shock, Juduan, your mother clearly didn't like me," I whispered looking down to our intertwined fingers, "I was fine with your people possibly not liking me, but your mom."
Juduan release my hand and brought them up to cuff my face, "Don't worry about my mother, Asena, she hates everyone. You already have a lot on your shoulders. Let's go have dinner so we can go rest, then we'll start first on regaining your memory."
"I am a little hungry."
