Cyan

Friday, July 12

"I thought you said Korean people were nice!" I exclaim and threw my head back on the couch.

"They are but some are rude as fuck...you know?" My leader Hyung, Hwan gave an apologetic look. He looked back down at his phone and staring typing down some ideas for our next comeback.

"I was also at fault too though." I sat up on our couch. "Welp who cares now, it's time to dye my hair." I walk to the bathroom grabbing the hair dye box. I opened the box and read the instructions.

After I dyed my hair silver, I started to take selfies for myself. Just then I got an incoming call. I declined at first but then the person kept calling me. I finally accepted on the fifth call. "What?" I answered in English.

"Cyan, my bro, how are you doing?" My best friend, Sam, asked.

"Tired as fuck, people in Korea are rude," I respond, thinking about the cute boy that I had an argument with. Min-Soo. At first, I was about to apologize for taking it even when I saw his name on it because he was good looking. I am not going to lie, I am gay but I don't seem like it or like to share my sexuality with others. Plus being gay isn't acceptable in Korea like it is in North America. That was the whole reason why my mother moved to America in the first place. She was lesbian and her parents disowned her after her coming out. After being disowned, she moved to the USA to be accepted and be free from judgments. As she moved here, she met my father. He was willing to help her survive in America for in exchange for a newborn of his own blood.

My mother had no choice but to accept since she had no idea what to do in a new foreign country. She told me that she only accepted because he was also like her. Which meant he wouldn't catch feelings for her because he had a lover of his own. His parents were okay with it as long as he had a grandson of their own blood. Apparently, he met my mom at a coffee shop and found her pretty among any other female he has seen. Till this day I still communicate with both of my mother and father side of the family. Of course, I had to act like I was straight in front of my Asian side of my family. But eventually, she fell in love with my father best friend, my other mother. Father was fine as long as he kept in contact with me.

"Ha, sucks that you are not in America right now. I heard your brother is going to be a model. Aren't you coming to see him model, next week?" Sam was always updating me on the things going on in America.

"Yes, obviously this is going to be the last time I ever am going to see him and my parents." I throw my clothes on the floor and get in my bed.

"Ah, right. You are going to be busy in Korea being an idol?"

"I don't see the difference between an idol and an artist."

"Beats me, dude."

We spent the whole night talking about other things but I ended the call around midnight. My roommate, Kam Seong-Gi, was bugging me on my conversation with my best friend.

"Why did you have to be born in America?" He pouted.

"Hyung, why does the place I'm from have any importance to you?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"It is important because you and Kiyoshi are foreigners and are the most adored by our manager and CEO. I wish I was from another country so I would have the same treatment as you guys." He responds.

I sigh and gave him a look. I threw my pillow at him and then climbed into his bed. "Do you know the endless training me and Kiyoshi Hyung had to go through? We were forced to do more than you guys. Our bosses may adore us but that doesn't mean we get special treatment."

"Ya Cyan! Our manager needs you!" Dae-Jung Hyung came bursting in our dorm yelling at us. He saw me in bed with Seong-Gi and smirked and leaned on the wall. "Wow, I didn't know our maknae's were so whipped for each other."

"As if." Seong-Gi and I said in unison. We separated from each other. I went to go see the manager, I hope I didn't do anything wrong. I started to get more nervous as I walked closer to the meeting room. I entered to see our manager sitting down looking at papers that were in his hand. He looked up at me as I closed the door. He took off his glasses and smiled at me. He looked extremely tired, I would know why though. Handling five kids are hard to keep in line.

"Oh hey, Cyan." He greeted. I greeted back and sat down on the opposite end of the table, where he sat. He raised an eyebrow at me and looked at the other chairs in between us. I just looked at him and the chairs.

"What?" I spoke, he looked at the chairs and then at me. I was starting to get more nervous. Does he want me to move next to him? I stood up and just sat in the next chair beside me. He just looked at me and I sat back in the chair I was sitting in the first place.

He sighed out loud. "Let's just get to the point, it seems like you are leaving for three days next week, right?" I nod my head. "Well, we will have to push some things on to your schedule...I see you are already ahead." He pointed at my hair with his pen.

"Yup! I also finished recording my parts in the songs, I got the dance covered already but I will also practice when I'm gone, the outfits are already requested to the designers they just need to work on it a bit more though." I smile at him knowing I did well.

"Good. That just leaves the makeup and the other stuff. Thanks for doing some of the duties in advance." He smiled as he checked off the list in his hands.

"Anything for you manger. You work hard everyday for us and I appreciate your efforts." I stood up and smiled to him.

"It's nice knowing you do help in completing your schedule. Well that's it for now, I just need you to do your photoshot tomorrow-"

I cut him off. "The photoshot is on Friday, right?" He nods his head. "Well today is Friday and I already done it."

"Really? Oh I'm sorry. I'll try to update on the day, now I have to rush things with the other members. You enjoy the time you have left before Monday comes." He started to scribble on his papers.

I let myself out the room and walked back to my room. I found Seong-Gi sleeping already. I yawn and climb on to my bed and turned off the lamp on the night desk.
