Chapter 31: 8 Months Later
Vera-
"Did you say it yet?"
I was siiting in my dorm room with Alice and the rest of my sisters. The room had a king sized bed, large bathroom, and walk in closet.
Looking in the mirror at my jean jacket to see if it looked good I sighed, "No not yet, Scarlet."
I smiled as I heard all my sisters gasp simultaneously. Of course they would be surprised. I turned facing them.
"You haven't said I love you? At all?" , she pressed. I shook my head making my red curls bounce.
I scrunched my nose from the room smelling of nail polish. Ever since my sisters found it they've been obsessed with that stuff.
I made my way to the bathroom side stepping bodies on my carpeted floor. Scarlet and Alice were looking at a magazine on my bed, while Ariana, Delilah, and Lilliah layed on the floor doing random things.
Opening a drawer I found some pearl earrings putting them on. I smile felling satisfied.
"Why not, Vera?" I huffed, Scarlet really never knew when to quit.
Turning to her I sigh, "Scar, I'm just not ready to say it yet. There's never really been a right time."
And there hadn't. Liam and I had been dating for almost a year now and the words still haven't been spoken. I thought about them everyday, just never out loud. Liam had told me from early on and was still telling me.
I wasn't ready and he understood that. Scarlet scoffed at me turning back to her magazine her white hair covering her face. I leaned against the door my eyes roaming my sisters in my room.
I was glad they were with me no matter how annoying they got, they were family and I needed them. I looked down at my watch seeing the time. The sun was setting and I knew Liam was going to be here soon.
I went to my bed sitting next to Alice, she had moved away from the magazine now reading another book.
I smiled playing with her brown hair, "So.....how's Michael?"
She immediately blushed, turning her head away from me. Michael was our vampire friend, he and Alice only started dating a month ago. It took awhile for her to actually say yes to a date and they were taking things fairly slow.
"He's....good. We're good," she says still blushing.
I wrap my arm around her shoulder squeezing lightly. "Good. That's all I get. Come on Alice, you have to tell me something."
She giggles softly lifting her hand slightly, the book she was reading floated away and landed on the bookshelf.
She sat up looking down at me, "Okay. "So we....might have kissed."
My eyes widened, "What when?!"
She smiled sheepishly, "Yesterday and I've been dying to tell someone. It was so sweet and out of nowhere. He was gentle but needy at the same time." She sighed, "It was so magical."
I laughed at her description. I just about to speak again when I heard a knock on the door.
Liam.
My sisters all turned to stare at me giving me a knowing look. I rolled my eyes getting off the bed and smoothing out my dress.
Liam had said he was going to take me out tonight but kept it a surprise all day no matter how many times I asked him. I had a suspicion he was taking me somewhere new but I as still ensure.
Ever since I got here months ago, I learned new things, but not everything. I still haven't been to a movie theater but it wasn't at the top of my bucket list.
No at the top was spending as much time as possible with my werewolf boyfriend. Which I still haven't seen shift yet, I was still waiting.
After giving a warning look to my sisters I walked to the door opening it.
