Chapter 290: The Great Ancestor

A strange spurting noise suddenly sounded. 

After the Sun and Moon Sword had pierced through Otome Sakagami's skull, a bizarre sound could be heard a few seconds later. Then, crimson blood rapidly gushed out of her neck like a water fountain, and suddenly, her head dropped onto the ground. 

The adults around her were completely dumbfounded and frozen to the ground. Dread had entirely overtaken their senses, they were so aghast they could neither move nor make a sound.

The villagers of Sakagami Village only regained their composure when a sharp and terror-stricken shriek echoed through the air.

"Otome!" Granny Sakagami in the outer circle completely broke down in horror and grief, clutching her chest. Her countenance turned so ghastly pale, every drop of blood seemed to have drained from it. Evidently, the sudden death of Otome Sakagami left everyone absolutely stupefied.
