Aera was confused about what Sunny was trying to tell her. Which friend of hers would come here to meet here?
Sunny took in Aera's confusion and as if without noticing anything weird she continued nonchalantly
Sunny: Yes your friend who usually comes with you.
Aera's mind went blank after hearing this. She couldn't form a single coherent thought. She was secretly thrilled that Ye-Jin would come to meet her to make amends. It showed she cared. Without her notice, a small smile bloomed on her lips but it vanished as soon as she heard the busybody trainees chatter.
Sunny: but I don't understand, It was senior Ray who brought her here.
So she wasn't here for her but she had come with Ray. Aera's already rotten mood started to plummet to depths unseen before. In the blink of an eye, her whole demeanour changed. She fixed her cold eyes on the still chattering trainee.
Aera: (sneering) where are they?
Sunny: (celebrating in her mind) I guess they went to meet the other seniors.
Aera placed her hand on the trainee's shoulder and squeezed it hard. The little girl winced in sudden pain.
Aera: (maliciously) you're a first-year trainee right?
Sunny could only nod weakly, she was paralysed when she heard Aera's furious but calm voice. She didn't think that this senior who always appeared to be easy going and stupid would have a ferocious side.
Aera: (with an annoyed tone) do you really think that I don't know what you're up to?
Sunny shivered and the hairs on her back stood up.
Aera: (patting her hairs patronisingly) you should really focus more on your training Sunny. It won't end well if you keep poking your nose in others business.
Aera didn't waste any more time with the girl and with her head held high went ahead to join her group. The girl was stupid beyond reason. She clearly wanted to draw a wedge between her and Ye-Jin but the reason was still unknown to her. If she was right then from a fortnight this little trainee had been following her around in secrecy- well she wasn't great at it when she was easily spotted by Aera. She had brushed the whole thing off but now there was no telling as to what was going inside her head- maybe it was something harmful to their health in general.
Shaking her head Aera decided to just wait and see for the time being.
On the other side, Sunny was fuming and taking out her anger on the mop in the ladies restroom. Why didn't her plan work out? She had arranged everything ss meticulously yet she was now on the losing end.
She had entered this company last year with the hopes of becoming an actress. Given her status as the daughter of one of the biggest film producers, it wasn't a difficult thing for her to debut right away but she had one flaw.
Ray
She fell in love with him to the point of obsession when she saw him for the first time. Thus, the whole ruse of becoming a trainee was to try and find opportunities to get close to him. Given that she was full of herself, she never factored Rays wishes in this crazy project of hers. Thus, she received a huge backlash when he refused to even look her way.
But the extent of her determination was so big that she was more motivated to win him over- by hook or crook- the more he stayed clear of her (delusional if you ask me).
In her crazy quest, she found out that Ray was going to ask Aera out. That was the biggest blow to her crazed ego. One can imagine the relief which flooded her the stupid dancer turned him down. She thought it was the end of her enemies but to her shock, there came a new plague- Ye-Jin- who became her biggest competitor to date. Ray who was rumoured to have sworn celibacy for life suddenly brought this seemingly average looking albeit confident woman to the company as his friend.
Who were they trying to fool? The chemistry between them was clear as a day and Sunny could simply not take this lying down. The years of longing and scheming were going to waste but she had a brilliant card in her hands.
While she had been stalking Aera she witnessed them having a fall-out in the midst of a road. It had been two days since and she was waiting for a good opportunity to strike and eliminate both threats at once and she had almost succeeded.
If that stupid dancer hadn't seen through her just a few minutes ago then they would've had a great show to watch. Even after being so close to victory she couldn't taste its sweetness and it was killing her, making her furious.
Lost in her loud musings and extreme hatred, she broke the poor mop and kicked the nearby trashcan.
Swearing to not let them off the next time she angrily strode out of the deserted restroom.
After the crazed girl walked out, one of the stalls opened and Ye-Jin walked out seemingly startled by what she had heard just moments ago.
Why are my villains this stupid?
Guess we'll witness some drama soon.
After Timo took Ye-Jin around the floor which was exclusive for their use only, they had warmed up to each other a considerable amount. It was bound to happen sooner or later since both of them shared a comparable set of hobbies.
Both of them were pacifists and usually took part in all kinds of social welfare programmes and events. Their conversation which was in the beginning only focused on the band and Ray gradually turned to the topics of their common interests.
Timo was thrilled to have someone to share his interests with- in a friendly manner, of course, he obviously didn't have any romantic interest towards Ye-Jin. His heart was set on a woman he had accidentally met years ago. That single meeting had left quite an impact on him to this day but that is a story for another day.
After they went through each and every available room and Timo provided a brief description of things that took place in each of those rooms they both decided to return back to where the boys were.
According to Timo, the time was enough for the others to have cleaned up and straightened out each other to look presentable enough. Ye-Jin chuckled a little at his reasoning. On the way back she suddenly excused herself to visit the restroom.
Timo didn't ask anything as he knew that it was embarrassing for women to divulge too much information on these matters. He insisted on waiting for her but Ye-Jin firmly refused his idea and asked him to go back and she would soon follow behind.
Looking at her hesitant face he didn't press her much and complied to her wishes.
After he walked away, Ye-Jin mildly cursed her bladder to have acted up at a very inappropriate moment but she couldn't do anything about it and hurriedly found herself a restroom.
She didn't know that this nature's call would prove to be a blessing in disguise.
She was minding her business in one of the stalls when she heard the restroom door being opened with a loud bang. Her heart jumped slightly at the sudden noise but she calmed soon enough but what she heard next made her blood turn cold.
She didn't see the face of the person but judging from the voice it was a young girl. Her tone was whiny and one could clearly point out that she was spoiled and rotten. What shocked Ye-Jin more was that this person was clearly targetting her and Aera.
As far as she could tell she was not someone who had encouraged anyone to become her enemies and nor was Aera- although she was an idiot at times she didn't offend people blindly.
Suppressing her thoughts she concentrated on the mad rambling of the person outside and the more she listened the more stunned she became. The time passed painfully slow for Ye-Jin inside the stall who did not even dare to breathe.
The torture soon came to an end and the vengeful lady walked out of the restroom after completely venting out her anger, hate and frustration. Ye-Jin first peeked through the door to make sure that the coast was clear and then walked out. She didn't waste any time dilly-dallying and ran towards where the guys were all huddled together waiting for her.
Meanwhile, the quartet had finally tidied up as Timo had predicted and were eagerly waiting to formally meet the woman whose praises their friend had endlessly sung in front of them from weeks.
Vic: (impatiently) why is it taking them this long?
Mui: (nodding) they've been away for an hour already. Don't tell me big bro is boring her with his furniture collection!
Kai: (shaking his head) he's only giving us some time to settle down. They might be back soon.
Ray: (who was patched up) If you guys hadn't knocked me over this wouldn't have happened!
Mui: (miserably) we already apologised to you on our knees. What else do you want us to do?
Vic: (slumping as if wronged) if you want to blame someone then blame Kai! He was the reason that we ran into you. We are also victims but no one ever listens to us around here!
The elder guys were amazed at their reasoning. They wanted to laugh out loud seeing their fake hurt and puppy-eyed expressions. But they didn't, they knew these two little devils more than anyone else. Give them a finger and they'd swallow the whole hand.
Kai was about to refute their claims when the door opened and Timo walked in- alone.
Ray zeroed in on this fact alone. Before everyone else, he jumped up and enquired Timo with doubt-filled eyes.
Ray: where is she?
Timo: I saw you're patched up good.
Ray: (ignoring) bro?
Timo: she went to the restroom. She'll be here soon.
Ray sighed in relief. He was extremely worried about leaving Ye-Jin alone ever since her drunken adventure. Although she had assured him several times that she was better than before, he insisted on behaving like a mother hen around her.
The men had to wait for another fifteen minutes before Ye-Jin showed up. But she didn't look good. Her complexion had turned bit pale, her forehead was dotted with little sweat and she was panting as she had run the whole way.
This was enough t provoke Ray's mother hen instincts (is that even a thing?). He got up from where he was sitting- i.e., near to the door and within milliseconds he was beside her face clearly filled with unmasked worry.
Ray: what happened to you?
Kai: yo author did you forget that the epilogue for my story is still pending?
me: (pointing to self) are you speaking to me?
Kai: (rolling eyes) is there anyone else here?
me: (nervous laughing) where is your wife?
Kai: (sneering) so that you could hide behind her back? I know you still haven't worked a cent on it!
me: um...
Kai: that's good too. Make sure that you give me and Mel at least five kids, not one less understand?
me: (submitting) sure oh almighty Kai! (thinking inward: you're going to have a hard time you brat! I'll make sure of it!)
