Chapter 28: Are you lost?
The night was long and both guys went quiet, each drowning in their own thoughts.
Few years later after they were soaring high in popularity, Ray met his saviour girl again.
This time he remembered her face and didn't rely merely on a locket. And this time she was going to be the dancer for their group. Kai was the first person to greet her- because Ray was simply useless.
Kai: (bowing) hello everyone I'm Kai and these are our group members.
Dance crew: (unanimously) hello seniors, please take care of us.
Kai: (smiling) please introduce yourselves to us.
Thus, everyone from the new dance crew introduced themselves but ray's eyes were trained upon the beautiful girl at the back. She was cheerful and filled with unmistakable charm.
Soon it was her turn and Ray almost did something stupid as he wasn't able to keep his calm due to all kinds of feelings- like joy, anticipation, fear, doubt etc., coursing through him.
Aera: (smiling brightly) hello everyone, my name is Aera. Please take care of me.
Back in the park Ye-Jin was deeply involved in the story which Ray was telling her. The fan-girl in her badly wanted to cry out and comfort the male beauty sitting beside her because what he was telling was clearly a love story filled with longing,anticipation, wait and which ultimately ended in agony over some completely stupid rumor.
Ray finished his narration at that point as Ye-Jin knew the rest of what happened already (and readers do too).
He turned to look at her and was surprised when he met her worship filled eyes. She looked silly and cute with that that head over heels expression on her face and Ray couldn't help but be slightly attracted to her which he obviously suppressed before it could develop some more.
He flicked her forehead to bring her out of her day-dreaming.
Ray: (smiling) Where are you lost?
Ye-Jin: (rubbing her forehead) Oh! I- it's n-nothing-
Ray: are you falling for me Park Ye-Jin?
Ye-Jin: (embarrassed) cut it out! Your story was very engaging! You can't blame me for getting involved in it.
Ray: (chuckling) so is it my fault that you went into a kind of trance now?
Ye-Jin: (nodding fiercely) yes! absolutely.
Ray: (pinching her cheek) you're so cute sweetie.

Chapter 29: Date her
Ray: (pinching her cheek) you're so cute sweetie.
Ye-Jin's heart skipped a beat whenever he did something intimate like this. Strangely she too liked these weird butterflies erupting in her belly now and then but these alien feelings made her quite nervous.
Feeling flustered she hurriedly changed the topic.
Ye-Jin: (in a serious tone) Ray you still want to date Aera?
Ray: (surprised at her query) why?
Ye-Jin: (shaking her head) no I am simply asking. Also wondering that you are usually good at making someone like you but you couldn't make her fall. I think you didn't give your best with her.
There was no way Ye-Jin was going to tell him the actual reason behind his rejection was a total crap-worthy baseless rumor.
Ray: (chuckling) possibly but how do you know about other things?
Ye-Jin: I am a fan remember?
Ray: 9nodding) the variety shows. My friends really do talk a lot.
Ye-Jin: (glancing sideways at him) you are just as bad as the rest of them. But that story at the bowling alley where you tried to flirt with some girl while drunk still cracks me up.
Ray: (groaning in long suffering) I dug my own grave there.
Ye-Jin: (doubtful) b-but are those stories all true? I mean to get some laughs people do tend to make up things.
Ray: (chuckling) Vic tends to do that a lot. He makes up stories about us and they're really creative.
Ye-Jin: (hesitatingly) b-but-
Ray: what do you want to know sweetie? you can ask me anything.
Ye-Jin: I'm afraid you'll be offended and get mad.
Ray: (patting her shoulder) no even if I get mad I won't take it out in front of you.
Ye-Jin: so are you really good at flirting? Still you don't have a single rumor about dating any 'girl' ever.
Ye-Jin purposefully stressed the word 'girl' to get her point across as subtly as possible.
Ray: hmm, to answer this question I haven't actually ever flirted with anyone before. Vic just came up with it on a whim, it clicked and I had too carry it on.
Ye-Jin: (not believing a single word) oh-
Ray: (frowning) your distrust wounds my heart sweetie!
Ye-Jin: (laughing) so about my question-
Ray: (cutting her in the middle) answer me first; I am curious about it- who is your favorite among us?
Ye-Jin: no I will answer to anything but that.
Ray: (nodding) ok then tell me about your family.
Ye-Jin: (smiling and staring in distance) my family has my parents and an elder sister. She is married to Shin Jay; of course you guys know each other.
Ray: wait a second, (dawning look combined with shock) Park Ye-Jin, Shin Jay. He is married to Park So-ah so-
Ye-Jin: (nodding) yes you are right.
Ray: (shocked) you are- really?! Wow!
Ye-Jin: (embarrassed) it's really not a big deal now stop it you look weird making those faces. Don't waste your good looks like this.
Ray was so shocked at the revelation that he shut up the moment she told him to.
He couldn't believe the quiet girl he had befriended was actually the most sort out and most searched topic in the country. People were dying to know about the little princess of the huge business empire- not just in the country but world-wide.
Everybody contemplated that she was not even in the country and was traveling around, studying abroad or something else but to his shock she was sitting beside him currently on a park bench in cold and smiling along at his silliness. She had been taking care of him and had saved him from a day filled with crap.
He wanted to gape at her like a fish out of water but he couldn't as she was currently glaring at him.
Ray: h-how?
