Bulan Sabit debuted both locally and internationally. Thanks to Pearl's X, Bulan Sabit received a lot of attention from international celebrities ranging from models, singers, actresses to even hosts.
Just as I expected, the new idea of business went well. Ulfah had to make orders continuously as the launch of Bulan Sabit were overwhelming. Daneen and I were called for an interview together regarding the collaboration. I decided to wear my sunglasses as it was not the time for me to get recognised yet. Pity Daneen, she had to flew to Singapore all the way from London.
Daneen and I just followed Waiza behind until we reached in a room that was similar to a room where all the celebrities got interviewed. A female reporter came in. I glanced at her name tag and shook her hands politely without a smile. "Nice to meet you, Miss Tania."
All of us seated down with Tania facing the both of us. She started to ask questions about Pearl's X to Daneen and some questions regarding the collaboration. After she was satisfied, she started to face me.
"How should I address you?" Tania stopped looking at her paper that was full of questions.
With a cold expression, I answered. "Shasha."
Tania nodded and started with her questions. "Miss Shasha, why do you set the Bulan Sabit collection at a high price? Don't you think it's a little bit too much for a shawl?"
I gave a small smile, barely raised from the neutral position of the lips. My eyes were narrowed as well, but it was useless as I was wearing my sunglasses. My head was tilted up to the right.
"I want the people wearing my shawls to feel that they are exclusive. Just like handbags, accessories, shoes and clothing, they too have their very own exclusive brands." My voice was firm and cold.
Tania swallowed hard on her saliva. I could guess that I gave off a scary cold vibe. She nodded respectfully. "Will we see more collaborations between Purnama and Pearl's X?"
"In shaa Allah, if it's meant to be then there will be." I turned to Daneen. "It was a great pleasure working with Pearl's X." I replied and we were done.
In shaa Allah: This phrase is used worldwide by Muslims of all languages, even recognized among many non-Muslims, and it means “God willing.” Three words make up this phrase: “In”, which means “if”; “Shaa’ ”, which means “will;” and “Allah,” meaning “God.” Literally, it means “If God wills so.”
