Chapter 7: Speechless
"Don't we have any popular songs lately?" Nurhan's serious gaze made everyone in the room looked down.
Suleiman voiced out. "Sir, currently the Aladdin's real life action movie song named speechless is in trend."
"That's a great song. I want Tasha to make a cover of the song and we'll post the video on the application Smule before we post it on Youtube. I want this to be phenomenal," Nurhan smirked faintly, oozing with confidence. He turned next to me. "And the lyrics suits you very well, sweetheart."
Everyone in the room nodded with Nurhan's instructions and I was suddenly brought to a small garden, on top of the roof of the company's building. Nurhan was busy with his paperwork and it seemed that the only familiar face that I had next to me was Suleiman.
Unlike Nurhan that has a light brown skin tone, Suleiman has a fair-skinned tone. He was skinny, but fit as his muscles looked firm. His Evershade's black-gold transparent vintage glasses gave him the intellectual look.
With the help of Nurhan's staff, I was able to sing the song without missing a beat. Now I know the reason why the song is a huge hit! It was hard to sing as Naomi Scott's voice was strong and powerful.
Nurhan's employees were efficient. Starting with the make-up, dressing, location and the whole environment! The next thing I knew was that I was already recording the cover of the song again, but in a different setting. They wanted the people to know that I was moving step by step before becoming a singer.
It did not take much time. I enjoyed singing and I had no problem projecting my voice well. Everyone was indeed impressed with my voice. The male music producer helped me with recording the cover in a studio laughed a pearly laugh as I ended the song. "Beautiful! Great job, Tasha. It's perfect!."
As I looked up, I realised that Nurhan was there. I looked at him with jubilation and came out from the recording and went to him like a little girl walking towards her mother. Nurhan chuckled with obvious delight and wrapped his hand around my body. "You were amazing, my lady."
Everyone was exchanging glances. I pretended not to notice them. As I walked out of the recording studio with Nurhan's hand still wrapped around me body, I heard they mumbled with each other.
"Is she our future CEO's madam?"
"I've never seen our CEO smile like that!"
"Our CEO has definitely had an exceptional taste in finding a wife. She's a real beauty!"
"She looked as cold as our CEO when she's not smiling.."
