Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Five Wishes again…
"You're going to give me a second chance in another world, like all those novels I read on the internet," Aaron asked calmly trying to mask his excitement.
"Yes, I'm going to give you a second chance at life. You will be allowed 5 wishes within a limit that is at my discretion, so if I feel that a certain wish is ... how do you call it... to op, I add some restrictions" Truth said honestly already have a faint about what he was going to wish for.
"Will I also be able to choose the world that I'm going to, and will I keep my memories? Or will I have to wish for those two things?" Aaron asked trying not to rush into his decision.
"Good, you are calm enough to think clearly. To answer your questions, yes you will be able to choose which world you will reincarnate to but, not the time. And as a bonus for impressing me by changing your death, you will be allowed to keep your memories." Truth said with his ever-present grin.
"Last thing before I start thinking about my choices. How long do I have to think about my wishes and destination?" Aaron asked already coming up with two of his wishes.
"Time is inconsequential here. So, you may think over your wishes for as long as you want, just try not to keep me waiting for too long or I may add more restrictions" Truth said with an aura that said test me.
Deciding not to waste any time, Aaron got to work all the powers that he knew from watching anime and reading fanfictions.
'How hard could it be choosing the best set of wishes?' Aaron thought sarcastically while slowly going over possible combinations of powers and items. Time never seemed to pass but Aaron felt himself getting more and more tired as he continued thinking over his wishes. If Aaron was back on earth, around 2 days would have passed but because he was in soul form and a blank white space Aaron couldn't determine how much time had passed.
'F***, I keep jinxing myself. This is so much harder than I thought it would be' Aaron thought while cursing at himself.
"Okay, you are way too indecisive, to not have a time limit. So, tell me the 5 wishes right now" Truth commanded, deciding to move things forward.
'Fuck' Aaron thought before pulling up the 5 wishes that he felt would at least let him survive in any world.
"Okay, these are my 5 wishes.
First Wish: A Pocket Dimension that I can cultivate in that has an unlimited amount of cultivation energy and cultivation resources.
Second Wish: Second True Magic: Kaleidoscope but on a Multiverse scale
Third Wish: The Library of Heaven's Path from the Library of Heaven's Path Novel.
Fourth Wish: All the cultivation, soul strengthening and profession techniques from Desolate Era
Fifth Wish: Godly Comprehension so that I can understand Dao more easily.
Those are my 5 wishes." Aaron said hoping that too many restrictions would not be added to his wishes. The grin on Truth face slowly became bigger.
'I'm glad to see that you haven't changed Aaron' Truth thought.
"Why did you not choose something like the rinnegan, the power of destruction or even utterly broken powers like All fiction, or the powers of Zeno," Truth asked curiously.
"Ahh, it's mainly because many of those powers are easily replicable with as you advance through cultivation, and because half the fun in gaining power is earning it. Sure, your giving me the tools needed for me to gain power, but it would be more fun if I grew from weak to ridiculously strong.
After all, if I could just instantly wipe out a world of the multiverse from the very beginning, what's the fun in that. I think being overpowered from the very beginning would lose its novelty quick. Also, in my world, those that inherit power and wealth most times do not know it's the true value, while those that earn it do. I want a chance to ascend heaven's by earning the power step by step." Aaron said truthfully.
"But, with the second true magic, you would have access to an unlimited amount of power. Doesn't that defy your reason for choosing to become a cultivator." Truth said pushing Aaron for more answers.
"Honestly, the only reason I wanted the second true magic is that it facilitates travel between universes and dimensions. The only way I would otherwise be able to travel through multiverses would be by breaking through to a ridiculously high cultivation level that would take me thousands or even millions of years to reach." Aaron answered hoping that he answered sated Truth enough so that he wouldn't be too heavily nerfed.
"Very well I will agree with your wishes but there will be some restrictions to make sure that you can't abuse your power.
Firstly, I will not give you a personal dimension with unlimited resources. Instead, you will gain a soul bound ring, that contains an unlimited amount of cultivation energy, and has every type of resource but at a limited amount. The amount contained within the ring will refill after let's say a week. For example, if inside the ring were 1000kg of Vibranium, and you used all of it, then it would take a week for it fill back up. This is mainly because I don't want you hiding insides your dimension whenever things get hard. Where's the thrill in that.
For your second wish, I will give you the multiversal version of the second true magic, but it will have restrictions. Each cultivation level you breakthrough will gain you more access to the ability. At the early stages, you will only be able to travel through your dimension (teleportation) but, at later stages, you will be able to travel through multiverses. A further restriction on this ability is that you cannot travel to multiverses that have an overlord without the permission of that overlord. Can have you sneaking into the domains of omniscient gods because that would to overpowered.
For example:
Houtian Stage: Minor Teleportation: couple meters
Xiantian Stage: 1000 km teleportation range, and random visions
Zifu Stage: Country Wide Teleportation, and controllable visions
You will be able to use second true magic at the parallel universe level when you reach the primal Daoist stage. As for further, you will have to keep advancing to see.
For your third wish, I will allow you to have the Library of Heaven's path but without the golden page. You will still be able to compile techniques together, but you will first have to read over all the material first.
For your fourth wish, there are no problems, and you will get exactly that. Be careful not to access all the books at once, because the overload of information will kill you instantly.
For your final wish, I will give you exactly what you wanted.
Now, do you have any other questions?" Truth said while patiently waiting for Aaron to process all the information. A few minutes passed before Aaron decided to ask Law to help clear up some of his doubts.
"Firstly, will I be able to cultivate the Desolate Era cultivation system in any multiverse that I choose, or would I have to choose the DE multiverse itself?" Aaron asked curiously.
"You will be able to cultivate the DE cultivation system in whatever multiverse you want, and before you ask. I will modify your body and your chosen world so that you will be able to cultivate following your chosen system. But be warned no one else in your chosen multiverse will be able to cultivate the DE cultivation system naturally.
The only change from the Desolate Era novel is that heavenly laws may change depending on the multiverse you choose. For example, in the Avatar universe, there will the heavenly laws for the 4 basic elements, and spirit, while in the Naruto universe the heavenly laws will be 5 basic elements with yin and yang.
Now is that everything?" Truth asked testing if Aaron had any other questions. Aaron shook his head left to right, while a large smile appeared on Aaron's face indicating his excitement.
"Good now, what universe do you want to be transmigrated to," Truth asked pleased.
"I would like to reincarnate in the marvel multiverse. More specifically a universe that follows the MCU, but has elements such as the x-men, the fantastic four and more." Aaron said eager to go on his way.
"Very well Aaron, have fun in your new life." Truth said before an absolute black portal opened up with thousands of tiny hands that pulled Aaron into it.
"THANK YO…mph" Aaron tried to say but a tiny hand had covered his mouth and pulled him in.
"Well, this time he had your permission to be in your universe right," Truth said, while another anomalous being appeared behind him.
"He does, don't worry I already warned the moderators of his universe to let him be in peace. Although they will respond if he deliberately attacks them, they will not just wipe out his existence like last time. Though the fact that the Akashic Records Champion pretty much choose the same wishes as last time is weird" the being answered before disappearing from the void.
"It certainly is quite weird, nevertheless I hope you further this time," Truth said to himself before changing the void to look like a cozy cabin, with a large screen television on the wall.
"Now what to watch," Truth said with his ever-present grin.
