Chapter 10: Daughter of a Barron
The carriage stopped. Liu Gang jumped out the carriage as he moved near where the voice came out. He was curious about what was happening. Soon, Li Chen followed him and walked beside him.
He soon saw a girl who seems to be in the same age as him was about to be raped by a middle aged man.
He was about to Li Chen to keep silent but Li Chen shouted just as he was about to say anything.
"What the hell, committing a crime in daylight!!"
'Tks, let's just test how hard my body could be' thought Liu Gang and get his sword from his belt.
The man looked at him and get his knife. He started to head to Liu Gang but Li Chen guarded Liu Gang.
"Li Chen, let the old geezer fight with me." said Liu Gang while getting himself in his combat stance.
Li Chen stared at the man first before he move.
"Little kid, you calling a young man like me old geezer is insulting." said the rapist while licking his lips. Liu Gang stared at him in disgust. He was already a middle aged man yet he called himself young? Liu Gang waited for him to come. It was his first strategy in fighting, patience.
[Host encountered a Dao Body Cultivator 6th stage] said the system.
Liu Gang was stunned to hear the system. He was about to speak with the system when his instincts tell him to move. He dodged in the left fast and glared at the rapist in disgust.
"Wow, you dodged my skill, huh." said the while smiling.
"You should be ashamed of using sneak attack against a little kid." said Liu Gang coldly.
However, he didn't even have the time to use his skill when he felt the pain in his stomach.
"Yo-!" said the rapist before he was sent flying. He clutched his stomach and stand before fainting.
Liu Gang want to test his sword skill to the man but was annoyed to actually sneak attack him.
"*Sigh* If only I was stronger, my punch could have been at least make that rapist could not stand anymore." said as he was looking into his hands that started swelling.
After hearing his statement, Li Chen's lip twist upward.
'Good thing you are not one of the cocky bastards. All of them likes to boast. Yet, they can't even make Dao Body Cultivator 3rd stage faint much less send 6th stage to fly.' said Li Chen.
He wanted to teach a good student who is humble but never encountered one. Everytime he teaches a student how to cultivate, when the student have a breakthrough, he boasted it to him.
He wanted to have a student whom he can teach his skills and techniques. So he was determined to teach Liu Gang. Although no one know, he was already 250 years old. He only used his skill to make his face and body become young.
He was Immortal Dao Cultivator Level 6th stage and wanted to travel in the world and wanted to cultivate for the rest of his life. He used his skills to make the general think that he was his grandson and made the people around the house the same. Soon, the general announced that he was his grandson.
But before that, he wanted to at least find someone whom he can pass his skills. Li Chen never liked a woman. Woman was the reason why his friend was kicked out of his family and he, himself, suffer. But he also never liked to see any crimes in his sight so he shouted at the rapist.
He sighed and looked at Liu Gang who was slipping his sword into his belt. He remembered his friend who have the same appearance as Liu Gang and same name.
He then looked at the woman who was dressing. He sighed again and hoped that Liu Gang will not be like him, Li Chen. He approached him and pat his shoulder.
Meanwhile Liu Gang was speaking to his system through his mind.
'System, how can you say that the old man is already at 6th stage?' said Liu Gang in his mind curiously.
[It is one of the ability that I have. I can also check the stats of the person but cannot read his skills. Only his age and level. I can also see his true name]
'Wow, so having a system is convenient.' said Liu Gang in his mind and felt a heavy thing in his shoulder. He looked up and see Li Chen smiling. He just stared at him and stared at the woman.
The woman was approaching him with a smile. He examined her and could tell that she is one of the daughter of high officials. She have long wavy chestnut hair and brown eyes. She was beautiful but Liu Gang only stared at her coldly and released his cold aura that made Li Chen feel cold. Do you know why? Because she was the same bitch who made his past life be kicked out of his home.
Li Chen stared at Liu Gang when he was looking at the girl and frown. But he was releasing cold aura that made Li Chen wondered why. He also looked at the girl and his expression grew cold.
'She looked like that bitch.' thought Li Chen and glared at the girl. He has the same thoughts with Liu Gang.
However, when he saw that Liu Gang didn't even change his expression, he sighed in relief and removed his hand in Liu Gang's shoulder.
'Hmm. He looked like a merchant. I'm sure he will be stunned in my beauty. I will make sure father will agree with me to be married to him. He is really handsome and cute!' thought the girl as she approached Liu Gang.
"Thank you for saving me." said the girl and smiled. Hoping that Liu Gang will approach but Liu Gang only stared at her coldly and shifted his gaze to Li Chen.
"Oh, yes, I almost forgot it." said Liu Gang and went to the man that have fainted. He rummaged through his pocket and found 7 beast cores. He take them and go to the carriage.
"Since you waste my time, I will get this as my compensation." said Liu Gang before going.
Li Chen only followed him and smiled wryly. He was already sure that Liu Gang will not fall for a scheming woman. Not like him.
"I know someone will rescue you. I know you are one of the daughters of an high official." said Li Chen coldly as he looked at her and went inside the carriage.
The girl was shocked and not be able to move until the carriage disappeared. She recovered from her daze and frown. She looked at the fainted man with disgust and kicked him flying again.
She then, walked until she reached her house that was a few kilometers from where she has been standing.
She looked at the banner that have a drawing of a white horse with a wing and mumble something.
"I will make sure I will find you. I will make you mine soon. I, the daughter of Barron Ma Dong, will make you fall in love with me." said the girl and go to his father's study.
"Dad, I met a handsome merchant today. I want to marry him!" said Ma Chi.
Ma Dong raised his brow at her daughter. This daughter of him always wanted almost all the man the she met to marry her.
"No, not this time." said Ma Dong and continue on what he is doing.
"But dad, it's a merchant! He can be helpful to you and maybe if his connections were enough, the king would probably make you as duke."
Ma Dong's eyes lit up. He always wanted to be a duke but never achieved it.
'Maybe, this can help.' thought Ma Dong and finally agreed. The only problem was the man.
'My princess can probably seduce that man.' thought Ma Dong and grinned while imagining his image being a duke.
The father and daughter is really similar. They are both greedy. Well, as the saying goes "like father like daughter".
