Chapter 2: Chapter 1 : The mysterious girl in the meadows
In the vast grasslands of a remote mountain valley in Jade garden, the air was fresh with dew drops twinkling like stars on grass blades. The serenity of the place resembled a Buddhist shrine. It was a beautiful place shining in twilight.
With a sudden rustling sound came a boy, carrying a tree branch, long and slender, on his back while heavily panting for breath.
Adjusting himself to his peak state, he started swinging the branch in several bizzare ways. Feeling a gaze directed towards him all of a sudden, he hurriedly turned around to find.............nothing.
The five year old boy was surprised. Just as he wanted to explore the woods near him, "Dastan, where are you ?" called his elder sister Kaileena. "coming, sister," answered the boy as he ran to his house.
After the boy left, the bushes rustled showing an adorable little girl in it. The girl looked around before running towards the village as well.
"Dastan, today, an imperial knight from the royal capital will bring a Buddha's coral to uncover the dantain nature of all five year old children in the village, you must be well disciplined, alright ?" asked Sharaman. "yes, father," answered Dastan obediently. He then held his father's hand and walked towards the great hall of the village.
