Chapter 6: The Great Dragon War
Prologue
This is a real dragon! There's so many casualties already. I asked Euclius, what are the average level of a dragon? He answered this:
"The average level of a dragon is 81 to MAX Level."
What? There's no way we can defeat that! Euclius is only Level 45 and Clattanoia is Level 15. Much worse, I am Level 1 only.
Chapter 6- The Great Dragon War
First, we have to stall it. I asked Euclius to distract the dragon while Clattanoia is making a healing notebook for healing the injured civillians while I am the one helping the civillians. Maybe this a super boring world but... this world... is still my home!
I don't have any mana like Euclius said so all I can do is to help the civillians. The Dragon's HP is still not going down while Euclius's HP is going to run out. I need to stop Euclius from fighting but if he stops, the attention of the dragon will turn in the civillians again. Think! I'm not powerful but I have the ability to think! Think of a good strategy, Is there anything I can do?
I saw Euclius flew into a building because of the dragon's attack power but the building collapsed and it's fragments came crushing down to the dragon. That's it! I asked Clattanoia to make a notebook of destruction and she did it. I asked her to destroy the base of the building. I totally forgot Euclius, so the collapsed building crushed Euclius and the dragon.
I will definitely pray for Euclius, I will cherish the two weeks we spent together. Rest in peace, my isekai friend. But suddenly, Euclius appeared and smacked me on the head.
"I'm still alive! Don't pray! Although, my HP is only 10% now, I'm sad to say this but I can't fight anymore."
Euclius is frustrated because of his own weakness. He's a Dragon Slayer yet he can't even took down a dragon. But that matters, I will take care of them on the future because there's a more troublesome problem here!
I asked Clattanoia to continue wrecking the base of buildings. The dragon is taking damage until to the point of the dragon's HP are down to 50%.
After the dragon became weak, it suddenly chocked and ready to spit something. We figured that It was fire so we took a step back. But the dragon spit a round object. It was colored white and has some kind of mouth that is laughing. It was 25 cm length. And the most important detail is the round object is now covered in saliva. Ewwww! Euclius suddenly grasped and said:
"That is the Soul Eater- I mean Mana Eating Shield! Now it explains why the dragon seems weakened!"
What? It's weakened! You call that dragon weakened! Are your eyes have some defiency? We almost risked our life fighting a weakened dragon! My thoughts are full of whines right now but I kept my cool and asked Euclius some explanation.
"That is the Soul- Mana Eating Shield, I already explained it to you that the Mana Eating Shield is eating the mana of someone. The dragon has accidentally eaten it and because of the Shield, the dragon's strength are sapped and and got isekai'd here along with that shield."
So that explains it. The good news is we achieved the Mana Eating Shield and because only without mana can use it, I'm the only one who can use it! This is my weapon! The bad news is... the dragon is now much stronger than before.
A loud roar enveloped the whole city. Looks like the dragon is ready to good now. It's HP is still 50% but you can see from it's eyes that it's different from before.
I quickly get my hands on the shield and threw it away again! Ewwww! It's reek of saliva, gross! I asked Clattanoia to make a notebook cleaner but she said that she is out of mana already. So be it! I have to wear it! I slowly put the shield at my hands. The cold saliva in the shield are already reaching my wrist. Ahhhh! I hate this!
Suddenly, the dragon spit a fireball and it's directed in front of me. I defended myself with the shield. It hit me and flew backwards because of the impact. It's so powerful! Can I defeat that? I landed and immediately positioned my shield. How do I activate this thing? It was sapping mana a while ago. Do I have to say some kind of keyword? I have to risk my life here. The fireball came rushing towards me again.
"Absorb!"
I said it and the shield begun emitting a white light and the fireball is slowly vanishing. I did it! I absorbed the fireball! I inhaled and shouted:
"Release!"
A second after I said it, the fireball came rushing to the dragon and hit it. The dragons HP is down to 10%! We can win! The dragon released another fireball and I absorbed it and released it again but... it didn't hit the dragon.
Just as planned. It didn't hit the dragon but it hit a building. You might guessed what happened next. And then the dragon was defeated by us! After 5 hours, I asked Clattanoia to make a brainwashing notebook. We need to brainwash them, and made them think that an earthquake just came.
But the question is... how come this fantasy like characters are coming here? Clattanoia, Euclius and even that dragon. I hope that I can find the answers to this questions. Clattanoia said that she just found a small portal, It might be related to that. But still, my first dragon fight is here in this boring world, I can't believe it. It's maybe good to have this weapon. I have to study this weapon.
