Chapter 2: A World Of Deceptions

"You sure this is the way, Richtofen?" Dempsey asked, while the crew traversed through the channels of an underground tunnel. They have already acquired Primus Dempsey and Takeo's soul up at this point, and it is up to them to secure Primus Nikolai's soul, and secure it in the hands of Monty, again. Nobody had a clue about the cycle, nor they chose to fight against it.

"I'm sure it is, Dempsey." The doctor replied, looking for an exit. He himself wasn't sure what could be possibly happen, but being an perfectionist, he hides it away from others.

"Come, I found us a way." Takeo quietly said, while tearing up a damaged wall with the Path Of Sorrows.

The wall collapsed, revealing a jail cell. Richtofen eyes widen up as he realized where they has stepped into.

"This is Alcatraz, but how could this possibly happen?" He mumbles to himself, while thinking about all the errors that they've come across, from Excavation Site 64, up until Zetsubou No Shima. The timeline they're in were experiencing other rifts from different timelines. Only he knew what was going on.

The thought was cut short, as Dempsey yelled, "Richtofen! What's the fucking game now, huh?"

"Ah, nothing, Dempsey. Let's continue this little adventure, shall we?"

Richtofen himself was supposed to meet up with another Richtofen from a different universe, to discuss some matters. The discussion must be in private, so that the others weren't alerted.

The crew headed deep into Alcatraz, until they reached the doctor's lab. In here, Richtofen remembered such old memories, such as the creation of his beloved weapon, the Ragnarok. He also created the cymbal monkeys, which attracted zombies into a certain location that it's thrown too, and explodes at a tick.

"Alright, watch my back guys. I am counting on you." He said to the crew, hoping that it's a good diversion.

The crew didn't say anything, but did what he asked for. Richtofen to them was their unsettled leader. Although he was never ready for the job, he did what was bet for the crew. His knowledge around dimensions earned his title of being the leader. All of the glory he triumphed as the leader...

Without interruptions, he entered the Underground part of his lab, to reveal the cyro-pods he have been working on, and the monkey still being on the table, as if no one touched it. There, he sees the other Richtofen, holding the ancient book once possessed by the Apocticans themselves. They called it the Kronorium, a book equipped with the ability to read past the current, and into the future. The book predicts any upcoming events, and the fate of any anyone if one dares to read their own path.

The two shakes hands, and welcomed each other. He handed Richtofen the Kronorium, and told him to read it to reveal its next path. The book told them that they were going to make it out alive.

Suddenly, the pages changed, creating a new page. The fate of the crew has now changed.

"Doctor? The pages have changed. And now it wants mein blood? Our blood?" Richtofen said with an anger tone, and threw the book at the wall, "You could not expect us to solve this, you son of a bit-"

His words were cut off, as the other Richtofen left through a portal. The Kronorium lays still on the floor, untouched after the impact. The crew came rushing downstairs to his lab.

"What happened here?" Nikolai asked, filled with wonders as he saw the Kronorium laying on the floor by a cracked wall. He tried to grabbed it, but a spirit reforming as a bird, took the book, and flew away.

"And the spirits fly away, with nothing, but confusion on its mind." Takeo adds, while observing the scene.

The cracked walls broke, and hordes of zombies poured out of Alcatraz, haunting the crew with the same old experience of zombie-killing again. As they cock their pistols, they ran through the horde, killing each and every one of the zombies.

"The prison wants mein blood, eh?" Richtofen curiously thinks, while pushing along the horde. "Then they shall get mein blood!"
