Chapter 27: Uncle Huiliang's Mission Requests 2
"Uncle, don't tell me..."
Hexie didn't finish her sentence when Uncle Huiliang put up his hand and did a thumbs up while smiling smugly. Kinda reminds her of that Bushy-brow sensei in that ninja-themed anime she once watched as a kid.
"Haha! Hexie-er! Your genius Uncle and his team finished the beta-version of the computer game you requested! And yes, you will be the voice actress for the in-game voice!"
Uncle Huiliang's secretary, Ana Lim filled Hexie with what was happening.
For the past months, Li Huiliang would work overtime to recruit members for his game developing team. He even hired a fantasy-novel writer for making fictional world and characters of the game, and even recruited their reclusive resident Video Game Artist to make sketches that match the background story for each character. It was the first time he seen their Artist to be this excited to draw. Then after gathering the team, they proceeded to make the design for the computer game software. After all the work, today was the day they make Wu Hexie part of the team.
"Okay. Now that Wu Hexie has been welcomed and have been oriented of what we have done for the past months, it is now time to check the status of the game. Hexie-er would you do the honor of being the first player of Dauntless Heroes Arena?" Uncle Huiliang stood up and gave Wu Hexie a bluetooth mouse and keyboard.
"Oh and do a commentary as you play through it Hexie-er. We would like to hear your opinion since this was your idea~"
Part of Hexie was guilty because she kind of borrowed the ideas from her previous life experiences.
"Yes Uncle!" Hexie sat at the front of the giant TV screen where she would play the trial game. She lay the mouse and keyboard on the desk in front of her.
The screen came to life and an animated mystical landscape was the background. There was a faint chivalrous music in the background too.

Hexie did as what the screen says.
Then another landscape was seen in the background, it emit a dark and eery feeling as it was a battlefield with lots of skulls.
"Hmm..for this part. I think it would be nice if there was an indication that this was a Loading page while the game is being set up." Hexie started her commentary.
Behind her, the team was taking notes. Li Huiliang was very proud at his niece. He can't wait to boast it to his siblings. They still hold grudge against Wu Hexie because of her past actions against her uncles, aunties and cousins in the Li side of the family. But he knew that it was that white lotus sister-in-law of his as well as Li Meixiu.
After the loading page. Hexie was welcomed by a character with her jetblack hair having green tips and was holding a bow. It kind of looked like her in a way.
"Haha we modelled this character after you, my dear niece, as tribute for the amazing idea of yours!"
"Wow...I have no words. You even named it after me," Hexie was grateful.
"Yes and because Athena is a Greek Goddess..."

"Oh that was clever. Having Athena the Goddess of Wisdom and War strategy as the first character to be played is a good idea. This part during tutorial, their should be an option for the players to double the speed of Athena's text in order to not waste time since many players would play the game in a computer shop. "
A couple of heads nodded.
After the tutorial. The screen had another loading page, it was another landscape of a galactic space.
{Select Hero. Athena. Jianjun.}
Hexie was scrutinizing the characters presented to her. One was a long-range character with every status as equal. The other was a short-range warrior, having Power status a bit higher.
Of course, she chose Athena. She was used to using long-range heroes when she was playing games like this. She wasn't good at short-range heroes unless they were tanks.
After choosing Athena, the game once again loaded but with the picture of Athena versus the hero she is against with, which was the Ancient (Chinese) Army General and Sword Master, Jianjun.
When the loading reached 100%, the scene on the TV once again changed. The view panned from the enemy base towards Hexie's own turf. The there was a 5 seconds count down before Hexie could move her character.
"The character looks a bit pixilated. That needs an improvement. The movement is a bit laggy, but hopefully it would smooth out in the next trial but the background sound though. It is amazing and has a realistic feeling..."
'Dang! I feel like I'm a metube gamer giving a Let's Play review! But with many people in real life watching me!'
Hexie looked so serious while playing the game, everyone in the room were tense. But that was because she was trying hard not to look eager and shout curses like how she usually play. Or else her Ice Queen persona, whom she finally embraced, will be in jeopardy.
The characters have no voices yet but there was clashing of metals sounds, snarls and growls of other background monsters as well as the intense battle background music.
"It really does feel empty without the voices of the characters...The characters does not necessarily have to speak to each other, but they should be uttering phrases fit for their personality..."
When Hexie's character, Athena, clashed with Jianjun, she first used a stun ability, then proceeded to fire rapid shots. The computer Jianjun's life was reduced to half. She then proceeded to use her ultimate skill and chased after the character until it died.
