Chapter 65: Because, woman you deserve every bit of it.
Zi Peng was thinking about Gong Bai's words for quite some time and came back to a conclusion in his mind.
" Dumbo Bai, hereafter you and Tian share my workload. I have loads of things to do"
Gong Bai sighed thinking What to do with this love sick friend. He understood by saying this Zi Peng is trying to do something for his wife, that's not a bad thing. But Company situation is very ambiguous, so naturally Gong Bai was worried for his friend.
" You want me to share your workload, so that you can be free to do other very important activities?"
Gong Bai asked him with curiosity.
When he was asking, there was a soft knock on the door, A thin delicate looking woman entered the office.
Gong Bai frowned his brows because of the sudden intrusion. He was thinking inside' How did she know Zi Peng will be here on Sunday evening.'
Zi Peng was his usual self, he was surprised by the sudden visit but didn't show that up on his face.
Gong Bai couldn't control himself and asked in sarcastic tone
" So what brings Miss Sun to our humble abode. I thought Miss was having her education in Country A. "
Sun Yunxi detested Gong Bai, especially people of low ranks. On top of that He is Zi family caretaker's Son. She didn't show any unpleasantness on her face. She had quickly put up a innocent smile and said
"Gong Bai, I haven't come to your abode, this is my Elder brother Zi Company. I came to visit him and as well give him some evening snacks."
Saying that she handed him a beautiful bento box. Which was still warm with delicacies from the famous restaurant in Downtown.
Zi Peng noticed his friends unhappiness, but he always knew that these two never get along. so he kept quiet, he was not interested in meddling with other people's affairs until unless being asked for it.
Zi Peng said
"Thanks Yunxi for your kind gesture. Please lay down the box in the table. take a seat, what are you standing for. "
Since they were having a personal conversation, Zi Peng was seated on the sofa. That gave him Panoramic city view.
Sun Yunxi sat down on the sofa elegantly opposite of Zi Peng.
"Elder brother, please have the snacks."
Zi Peng looked at his friend Gong Bai, who didn't have anything since morning because he was working non stop.
" Gong Bai, do you want to have some?"
Before Gong Bai could respond, Sun Yunxi said
"Gong Bai, you can have some too, though I got it specifically for Elder brother. " She stressed the word 'specifically' which made Gong Bai frowned again.
Gong Bai gotup from his seat and looked casually at Zi Peng
" I got to go, I have some urgent files to tend to. I will take my leave then. "
He left outside swiftly and Zi Peng had a phone call which he went to pick up on the quiet place next to his cabin.
Hearing Gong Bai leaving gave happiness in Sun Yunxi, but quickly it went away when Zi Peng left to pick up the important phone in a next room. She was plainly looking at the luxurious Office.
Gong Bai was in the adjoining office. He was pissed because of Sun Yunxi, his stomach started to growl in hunger. he just picked up a packed juice and gulped in one go.
His mood was greatly disturbed by the sudden entrance of that good looking witch. he was cursing her inside.
Suddenly his room door opened, The Sparkling smile was pasted on the person's face. it was none other than Xue Nuan.
Gong Bai got up at greet her "Young Madam"
She sighed and sat opposite to him and said
"Brother Gong, treat me like your sister if not for a friend. I know you are the closest person to Ah Peng apart from Brother Mo."
Gong Bai sat comfortably after hearing her pleasant plea.
"Then you yourself tell me, how shall I address you."
Xue Nuan thought for a moment and said
"Brother Gong, you can call me 'Xue Nuan, NuanNuan, or just Nuan. Anything will do."
Gong Bai smiled and said " Xue Nuan will do".
"So then tell me brother Gong , why were you having this mixed expression when I came here."
"What mixed expression?" Gong Bai was intrigued.
"It's like Anger and helplessness in one go. Did you have any tough day today."
Gong Bai couldn't help answering her "hmmm yes , tough indeed."
" Are you sad that project didn't go through?"
Without any thinking Gong Bai was answering " Not exactly!" He was responding short, so he thought he was being smart with her.
"So it has to be my mercyless husband Right. I heard that he is sweet only to me and Mother. with everyone else he is indifferent and cold. is it true brother?"
Since Gong Bai was already disturbed, he blurted out
" What's wrong with your husband and wife? Why are you asking each other about yourself to me.?"
Xue Nuan picked it up quickly, Gong Bai only realized after speaking. He thought about rectifying with another question
" Why did you bring snacks for him. I thought you guys had late lunch. Anyway someone else is inside with snacks for him."
" Brother Gong, didn't you have any lunch?"
" Yes, how do you know?" Gong Bai tried to alert with smart person infront. he was happy if she had forgotten about previous bluntness he did.
"Now, I know.' She spoke in a sarcastic tone
Xue Nuan smiled sweetly and took out a insulated box which has neatly arranged dumplings of different flavors.
She picked up ba disposable plate and served him few.
" Brother Gong, taste it and see. if it's of your likings."
Gong Bai was really happy that he getting something to eat, but she got it for Zi Peng. if he comes to know that he will kill him into tiny little pieces.
" Xue Nuan, you brought this all the way for Zi Peng, it's not right that I eat it. don't worry about me. I used to being like this, plus I just had a juice."
He tried to be diplomatic about it. But to his luck, the woman infront of him is pack of surprises
"Brother Gong, don't be unreasonable. Just have it. You will not eat if I give you, is that it?" She asked with the sweet voice and pout.
How can he ignore her, he took a plate and started gulping the dumplings. After few bites, he realized it's not ordinary ones. this one oozing with taste and flavor.
" Oh my God! Xue Nuan, I never had any dumplings like this before? where did you get it."
"It's not from a shop, I had made it. I went home after work in hospital. Ah Peng didn't come home, so I made few and brought here."
Gong Bai responded hmmmmm and she added few more to his plate.
" So brother, earlier you were saying that both me and him asked about each other to you. Actually I have asked you about Ah Peng, because you are his friend. But why did Ah Peng ask about me to you. Before this, you never even spoken to me directly. He asked specifically means that you know all the details about me. Which indicates that you have done investigation on me , I don't know when. Maybe before marriage or later. hmmmmm it has to be before. Am I right?"
Gong Bai got mesmerized by her way of analysis, he blurted again. "True , it's before marriage. but what the point he refused to see them."
After hearing that, Xue Nuan felt happy. Gong Bai understood one thing very clearly, Though she is good hearted woman, She is very dangerous. How quickly she got all the info she needed.
Xue Nuan didn't want to trouble Gong Bai. She served him more dumplings
" Brother Gong, Have these dumpling, these taste much better. Do you like my dumplings?"
He patted her head adorably and said
"These are the best Dumplings, I have ever had."
"What Dumplings? Who made them?" That Was Zi Peng.
Zi Peng saw the box and knew who had made that.
He gave a burning glare at Gong Bai. Xue Nuan saw that and wanted to guard Gong Bai from her husband.
"Ah Peng, why are you getting angry with Brother Gong. I heard you were having snacks inside. Why should I waste it. Plus Brother Gong was working very hard."
Sun Yunxi jumped in the front and said
"Elder brother Zi, do you feel like having the snacks now." She handed him the box again.
Zi Peng got little irritated and picked the box and exchanged with Gong Bai and started eating his wife's remaining Dumplings.
"Heaven meets earth Nuna, my God, so awesome these dumplings are."
Sun Yunxi felt very sad seeing the scene unfolded. Zi Peng went back to his office, thinking his wife might make him share with anyone else.
Gong Bai stuffed the box in Sun Yunxi's hand and went back to work.
Xue Nuan understood that this new person Is responsible for Brother Gong earlier mood swings.
Sun Yunxi got irritated by Gong Bai and threw the box into the bin and
"Who do you think you are? How dare you stuff things stuff the things into my hand."
Xue Nuan didn't say anything, just gave Sun Yunxi a tight slap. Gong Bai was shocked and happy at the same time.
Sun Yunxi who was pampered like a princess was hit by someone for the first time.
" Why did you hit me?" She asked in anger.
Xue Nuan said in a calm voice " Because, woman you deserve every bit of it.
