Chapter 1: Marriage Ties
It would have never cross Chen Xixi thought that one day, she will have to marry a guy who is stranger to her. The Chen family and Bai family were good friends in the world of business. In order to strengthen their business ties, the marriage between their successors were predetermined since both of them were children.
"Xixi, on your 21st birthday, you will be engaged with Bai Hao Yun from the Bai Family." Lin Ai Yu said as she approached Chen Xixi. Lin Ai Yu sat down beside Chen Xixi and caress her hair gently. "You've grown up and reached a suitable age for marriage. Our family have always possess a good ties with the Bai's. Be polite to them when they visit later." Lin Ai Yu said lovingly. " But mom, I've never meet him and I don't even know what kind of person he is. How am I supposed to marry someone that I'm not even close to? Mom,.." Chen Xixi replied with teary eyes. "Be good and try your best to get along with him. You will get to know him soon" Lin Ai Yu replied then walked. She hoped that her daughter could get along well with Bai Hao Yun. In her eyes, he was the most compatible partner for her precious daughter. He was only 27 years old but already had the potential to manage his father company successfully. Ever since he took over his father's company, the stock price of the company were rising dramatically thanks to his talent in business. Not to mentioned that he was charming, noble and never involved in any indecent scandals unlike other socialites.
As soon Lin Ai Yu left, Chen Xixi begin crying. The news came too suddenly and she was unable to accept what her mother had told her. She was still young but needed to spend the rest of her life with a guy she don't have feelings toward. That night, myriad of thought came through her mind. "What kind of people is he? Can we get along? What if we are not happy together?" Slowly, her vision was blurred and she had fallen asleep.

[The next morning in Bai mansion]
Bai Hao Yun was cladded in white shirt and blue tie with his navy blue suit hanging on his arm. Then, his phone started ringing. "Hello mom, any matters?" he answered the phone nonchalantly. "Hao Yun, free your schedule this Saturday. You are going to get engaged with young lady Chen, the daughter of Chen Lin Tian." Bai Hao Yun mother sounded excited. "But mom, I don't want to get married yet and I'm not even close Chen Xixi !" he sounded annoyed from his tone. "Don't say that. Our families are best friends and good partners. Your marriage will bond our ties and benefits both sides. Furthermore, you are already 27 years old and it's time for you to get married as well." she hung up her phone after she was done speaking. He sighed upon his mother's unreasonable demand. How could he marry a woman he never met before? They don't even know how each others were like. He frowned and massaged his temples.
"Pangg!!" Chen Xixi had fallen off from her mattress. "Ouch, that hurts!" she blurted while rubbing her painful bum. She checked her phone and realize that she was almost late. She freaked out and rushed towards the bathroom to cleanse herself and quickly get dressed before going to work. It was her first day working so she couldn't afford being late under these circumstances. Previously,her father did tried to offered her a place in their own company but she refused his offer. Worried that his precious daughter might ended up suffering while working with others, he used his connection and assigned her daughter under his best friend's company. Little did she know what was awaiting her in the company.
She was assigned to be a personal assistant to the company CEO, Bai Hao Yun. As she arrived, her boss was already sitting on his desk working on some documents. She stood still at the door, starring at the man exuding an unfathomably charming aura. His gaze were fixated on the computer screen and his fair, slender and beautiful fingers were dancing on the keyboard. "Such a nice view to be appreciated" she thought. "How long are you planning to stand there?" She snapped back to her sense upon hearing him. "Hello, I'm your new personal assistant, Chen Xixi." She replied him in a polite way. He stared at her with a hint of iciness in his eye before replying " Firstly, I expected my assistant to be punctual and you are already late on your first day. Secondly, even though I know that I'm good looking, I dislike they way you stare at me. Thirdly, I hate the scent of your perfume. Don't use that the next time" Being lectured this way on her first day or work obviously doesn't feel pleasant to her. She tighten her fists to remain calm. "Who doesn't make mistake? It's only my first time and I'm wasn't deliberate to be late. I acknowledge your charms but how could someone praised himself so naturally? Narcissism! You dislike my perfume? You were obviously picking on me." she couldn't help but cursing him silently in her heart while giving him a polite smile and apologized to him.
