Chapter ten: a blind decision
" You can't live like that ,I was still talking to you" I said to him he moved his hand from mine harshly
" But I was not listening" he said
" I am still a luna and as much as I am the luna and also the alpha here , so when I tell you to stay put you have to stay put and not disobey me" I said to him.
"So what else are you going to do hurt me and then sack me from the job,you are free to do that I'm sure that is what I want you to do I want you to end vows my family lineage made, just sake me already that is exactly what I want "he said and with those words he left my presence, leaving me in total shock.
What else do I have to do to get Loki by my side? I don't know why but after being reborn, I suddenly feel the urge that I needed Loki over my side at all of course.
I tried to follow him but when I got to the corner he was taking earlier, he was nowhere to be found…. Why was he avoiding me? Why was he making so much effort and stressing everything out?
The next day was even more hectic and had to find Loki around , I even went to his Chambers multiple times but he was never there even the maids kept claiming he was inside but whenever, I went there but he was always nowhere to be found, so I decided to give him the space that he wanted and stay on my own.
I was preparing to go to Beatrice house when Beatrice herself slowly walked into my room.
Erica, can you believe what the council's are saying Beatrice said to me .
"What did they say"
" They kept claiming that you are being intimidated that, I was forcing you to make a decision you don't want to make by claiming to want to take the throne again, you are not ready and it can only be given to your heir " she said sitting beside me on the couch
"What do you mean by my heir, I did try to say that you are only, The heir that I have withdrawn and have all access to the throne, "
"That means , I have no access to my own father's throne" I asked, a little bit too surprised.
"Do not worry , we'll find a way you take over what belongs to you and Ronald will not will not be a hindrance to you in any of the things we would plan for you ," Beatrice said to me before hugging me.
I knew she always had to me but I always felt the love she had for me, just like Loki who was always harsh to me but really cared about me.
"Thank you so much Beatrice for being the only one I could trust and always trying your best to make sure that everything I do works out perfectly well for me" I said to her, she strokes my back gently without saying a word .m then she stands up with an aggressive face
" I was just being nice to you for a few minutes and now it is over I want you downstairs immediately , there's a few gatherings for your father's sake so you have to be there " she said to me before rushing out making me smile at her first words.
"What other meetings do they need before again do they want to continue to see my weakness and use it against me".
I slowly searched for a dress I would put on when I'm going in, but I was sure I was perfect enough.
I decided to step out when I came out of the meeting room. I saw a few elders , Ronald, Natasha and most especially Loki …..Loki was part of them , which was very surprising and now I know whatever was about to happen definitely involved Loki hugely ….. I was mostly happy at the fact that Loki too was present.
but I felt a bit remorseful because I knew whatever was going to happen but only me that Loki and I would be distant from each other .
"What took You so Long Erica"one of the elders asked
"I was a bit busy …I hope you were not expecting me to come downstairs naked" I said just sitting on my mother's seat beside my father's seat on the throne.
" one of the elders walked up to me, it is good you know where your rightful place is " the elder say to me with a wicked smirk on his face
" And what do you mean by my rightful place "I asked him
" That, no matter what you do you would still be a wife to your alpha " he said to me I needed to be looked at by Ronald who had a devil smirk on his face.
He was really enjoying the show that was happening because he was my mate, which clearly means one day he would sit on the throne but I will make sure that will never happen …..because that would be the worst decision for me.
" And who said, I would not sit on the throne" I asked the elder as the rest of them were bad and not themselves .
"so you are really serious taking this step of becoming the alpha " the elder asked
"Yes , and no one would be able to ever stop me , I want you to know that," I said to the elders, also placing a devil smirk on my face.
