Chapter 4: Rewrite
Ruseir city , The capital of Harsher Empire , was everything one will expect of one of the major cities in the game . Like the other 3 major empires , Harsher's capital was grand and was bustling in every street you could see .
It was sort of a weird scene , to be honest , with all the warriors and wizards going around the streets . Even the streets gave a weird sense of security .

' That explains things .' Ron thought as he walked around looking for the adventurer's guild .
There were vendors of a variety of items along the streets and some of the carts were even named . This might not be too much of a difference , but according to the rules in the city , they were recognized by the empire as their official shops .They could set up shop on any street without worrying about the guards that removed the stalls and carts every 6 hours .
The shops that were set up like this paid no tax to the empire , but their time was limited to 12 hours daily . The shops that were set up on purchased properties however could be open for 24 hours everyday .
Ron wasn't interested in all that . He just wanted to class change as quickly as possible . The real game started only after one got a class change and started doing quests .
He rushed into the building with a red roof as soon as he saw it . The building had 3 floors and did not have as good a lighting as you'd expect from a building as beautiful as this one . Instead , it had darkness that increased the higher one went .
There were no players in this building , which was of course , a benefit . It will be extremely horrendous if you could see all the hundreds of thousands of players going in and out of the guild at all times .
There were , however , NPCs all over the place . Each one of these NPCs were here for a reason . Each one of them were here to give quests .
Which quests you may ask ?
Class Quests !!!
The more than 50 NPCs Ron saw here on the bottom floor gave quests to players who wanted to change classes or learn skills . Ron , however , didn't know this and only thought of one thing .
' The higher I go the stronger the NPC .'
A player had reached the 3rd floor and had made a post about it on the forums . The NPCs there were all super strong . Ron quickly started going up the stairs and as he did , he felt a faint pressure on his body .
' Indeed . How can it be easy to meet the strong NPCs . '

[Proceed to next test location !]
The stairs were like a spiral as they went up the floors . Between the ground floor and the first floor were 25 steps exactly . Ron was currently on the 10th step when he got this notification .
' Willpower ? Is that like a hidden attribute ?' He thought to himself .
He shook his head and continued going higher .
20th step ...
[Willpower test !]
[Passed !]
[Proceed to next test location !]
25th step ...
[Willpower test !]
[Passed !]
[Proceed to next test location !]
" Be proud adventurer . You reached the first floor with your bit of strength ." Laughed a man with a white beard and a buff body . " You can try to continue on or stop here and lose the right to go higher forever . "
Leo looked at the man who had a heavy sword on his back and thought for just a second before bowing respectfully " Senior warrior , I would like to continue . "
The warrior nodded and got out of the way , revealing the next set of stairs , which were just 15 in number .
Ron set his foot on the stairs and he knew immediately that this will be much harder . The pressure was almost double of the on before and it increased with every step .
5th step ...

10th step ...

15th step ...

[Passed !]
[Proceed to next test location !]
" Congratulations , adventurer . Join us on this floor or continue , it's up to you . " A man in a mage robe said , without even moving his lips or opening his eyes as he meditated with a red aura around him . The next moment , however , he opened his eyes and looked at Ron " You are a vampire , a race known for their shadow magic . I would be willing to teach you , if you would allow this old man to ."
Ron looked at the mage and shook his head " No , senior Mage , I want to try going higher . "
The mage closed his eyes again and shook his head " As fate wills it ." and vanished .
Ron looked at the staircase ahead and sighed ' Just 10 more steps .'
1st step ...

[Congratulations ! You are the tenth player to make it to the floor of legends !]
A man appeared in front of Ron and muttered some words hearing which Ron trembled and then covered Ron with his cape and drowned in his own shadow .
[ All the legends have chosen their successors and the successors will now have their levels reset to 1 !]
[The legends will start to rewrite themselves once more !]
