Chapter 17: Baluarte Zoo
The coachman told them some history of the city, that once the Spanish was there. And so with the historical happenings, vigan treasured and maintained the stractures to attract tourist in the country and arround the world.
They stopped at the same spot where they rode the calesa first. Ericson guided Mona upon going out the calesa by holding her hand supporting her.
"Thank you Ericson, Thank you mr. coachman" she said sweetly.
"No problem maam, it's my duty. Enjoy the city!" said the coachman.
"So what's next Ericson?" asked Girlie.
"We're going to register an appointment to visit the Bantay bell tower."
"Its so hot! You go, we'll wait"
"okey. stay here then."
Once Ericson was gone, Patty face Tyler who was drinking water from a bottled water. His adams apple goes up and down that made him looked so hot just like the weather and made her thirsty too. Tyler eyes stop at Mona who currently drooling at him.
"I'll go buy some water for you."
Patty snap out of her thoughts and blush shyly. 'Did he saw me staring at him? oh my gosh that was embarrassing'
"umm okey. i kinda thirsty" she said not meeting him in the eye.
"make it two please thankyou" Girlie added.
He walked to the nearest grocery to buy bottled waters and grab some finger foods also. When he returned, Ericson was already in there chatting merily with Mona and Girlie. They looked at his direction and Girlie approach him with th plastic bag he's holding.
"Now what's next mr. tour guide" asked Patty to Ericson.
"Now we will go to Baluarte mini zoo"
"Oh great! Let's drop first at the hotel. we'll leave the shopping bags." Girlie said.
They obey Girlie and waited at the lobby.
"Bro, I will confess my feelings to Mona before the tour end." Ericson said to Tyler.
"Good luck bro" he answered back although he guess his friend don't have a chance on her, he just wish him good luck. He saw how Mona treats his friend as a friend only.
"Thanks bro."
"Why Ericson, you have that creepy smile on your face? Care to share?" Mona asked him once she reach there side.
"N-nothing..." he blushed at the moment. "Let's go have some lunch first before going to Baluarte" he said avoiding Mona's gaze.
Trixie smile beamingly at the word lunch. " Then what are we waiting for? Let's gooooo." she said excitedly.
They entered a fastfood chain and ordered some friend chicken with rice, burgers, and fries with cola as their drinks. Girlie can't be disturbed as she busily eating her food. They got used to her that everytime she eats, even theres a bomb scare, she won't lose her food.
After eating, they rented a cab to go to Baluarte mini zoo. At the entrance, you could see some stalls that sells souvenirs. A parot will greet you as you enter the big gates. Patty readies her camera to capture some animal photos. At the zoo, you could see variety of animal s from the Philippines and other countries. There's turkey, ostrich, donkey where you can ride at his back, and even camel was there. There are also adult tigers and lions to be seen.
