Chapter 16: Calesa
They entered the famous "Cafe Leona Restaurant". It serves Filipino, Japanese, Italian and Thai cuisine so alot of foreigners would have breakfast, lunch and dinner here. They ordered the Vigan longanisa and bagnet this is the must try menu in the restaurant.
After serving their order, they could smell the mouthwatering dishes and begun to dig in.
As usual, Trixie ignore her companions and indulge in to her foods. She feels she was on cloud nine tasting the delicacies of the city.
Patty eat slowly giving her tongue to taste every bite she took on longanisa. She close her eyes and smile because this is her first time eating this kind of process food and it pass her food standard..
Tyler saw Mona how she closed her eyes and smile sweetly. It made him think that this girl infront of him is interesting. She's easy to pleased and blush easily that made her look lovable. Since the day he met her, he tried to distance himself to her because he knew his friend was dotting her and he don't want to steal her from Ericson.
Ericson feel delightful seing his Mona enjoying her food. He really researched this place, where are the perfect place to visit in the region to make Mona enjoy his company. He don't want to let this time escape. He will confess to her once they done visiting the place and in oder to make more memories together. Eventhough there were Tyler and Girlie, he will make their time more intimate.
"Where are we going next Ericson?" asked Mona.
"We're going to Calle Crisologo to visit some shops. You can buy some souvenir and antique there. And ofcourse, we will not miss to ride on 'calesa' to tour the place."
"What's calesa?" Girlie asked.
"It's a horse-drawn carriages here."
"Ohh I would like to try to ride there." Girlie said excitedly that made her look cute."But first, we need to shop first."
"Okey then, let's walk and burn are fats"
They walked slowly admiring the Spanish structures of the buildings and the enthusiasm of ghe Filipino people who greeted them when they past every stall. Trixie bought three pair of T-shirt with a print says 'i love vigan city' she will give those to her colleagues in her part time job. They bought key chains, pouches, hats and blankets that were hand woven Abel-iloko products. Ofcourse as gentlemen, the boys carry them without a word just like a chaperone.
Then they hired two calesa.
"I'll acompany Mona this time" Ericson said stating no for an answer.
Patty just smile and glance at Tyler 'I would prefer him'
" Good morning ma'am, sir!" the coachman greet warmly. He was a senior here at the age of 63. His hair partially has white hair indicating he was old.
"Good morning too sir, we would like yo tour around. Please take us." Ericson said politely with a smile too.
"okey sir, maam, seat back and enjoy the scene." Then they begun to move from places to places.
With the camera in hand, Patty took some photos around the city. While she's taking some pictures,Tyler noticed her camera was the same with the girl he met the early morning. 'was it coincidence again?' he tought.
